Hello to all expert Mathcaders 🙂   I have to preface my question by saying that I am a newbie in the whole field of acoustics. I am however an expert in structural analysis. So please answer my question keeping in mind that fact. I now find myself in a situation where I have to determine the structure-borne sound/sound transmission characteristics of rubber structures. With the aid of harmonic analyses, I can determine the sound transfer function (in dB) and the so called transmission loss (also in dB) of the these structures. I can then make plots of for example transmission loss (in dB) versus frequency (Hz). However, the x-axis, which is the frequency is a linear distribution of the frequencies which corresponds to the frequencies as derived from the harmonic analysis. So let us say I performed my harmonic analysis for a frequency range from 0Hz to 500 Hz at intervals of 1Hz. Hi guys,I used Mathcad prime 3.0 to create a work sheet for On-Bottom Stability Design of Submarine Pipelines according to the DNV-RP-F109 recommended practice. However, when i would like to print my page (as pdf or to printer) it takes extremely long and the program does not respond. Is there anything to solve this problem? Is it perhaps better to work in Mathcad 15?I have spend a great deal of time in creating the worksheet and thus would rather keep working in Mathcad prime 3.0 instead of Mathcad 15, what is your advice on the matter?kind regards,Sagar

Hello! I installed Mathcad 15 yesterday, requested a test license during installation and also signed up on the PTC website. It worked, only until i had to deinstall it due to other programs (Autodesk Revit 2018) not working after insallation of Mathcad 15. Now i am trying to reinstall it, but i don't know if i can get a new license or how to use the existing one. Please help, as i have no clue on how the whole licensing works here. Best regards, C

Hi, I'm a new user (but in fact a very old one) with mathcad prime 4. Since few month I'm my own boss. For the first time I have bought mathcad prime and install it, before it was TI guy who do that for me. But I have more than 6000 mathcad files  (from mathcad 8 to mathcad prime 3). I need to convert some of them but I need mathcad 15. I don't have mathcad 15 but someone explain to me that I have the right to install mathcad 15 and mathcad prime on the same computer... I can't use both mathcad in same time but only for converting.   Is it right ? where can I find mathcad 15?    Yves Rossignol

Hello,   'im following this threadhttps://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad-Questions/spherical-plots/td-p/369091 to plot a sphere. I thought I had understood all the procedure, converting the spherical coordinates into cartesian and plotting.   However, i've try to plot only a section of them (i.e. half of it, or form theta = 0 to theta = 3*pi/4) and didn't work. I've try change the start and end values of range.   Can anyone give a hint where to find this subject to study or what modifications I need to do to be able to plot this?   Thanks!

Hello,When I try double clicking any of my calculation sheets I get "there was a problem sending the command to the program"I work on a network license for Mathcad 15. OS is Windows 7. Anyone faced this problem before?There is a way to get around this of course by clicking 'open' in mathcad and navigate to the location of the file, or by copying the path directly into the path box.Any suggestions on what could be the problem?Many thanks,Ahmad

Hi Team,   I'm brand new user of Mathcad Prime 4.0.   Trying to solve simple equation by iteration. What is the easiest way to solve this attached equation.   Idea behind is to change or increase k1 until left and right side are equal or at least close to each other (let's say error of 0.01). Everything else is a constant.  Thank you in advance

Hello, my question is if there is a way to find all the points given a vector Y1, for a function, without having to evaluate each one manually (as seen in my file with point 4.609 and finding the X1 = 0.677), that the vector Y1 will change values (but all within the range of vectors X and Y), Thank you.

Hello,   I am designing a Steel Sheet Pile wall for a project and I'm having an issue with solve blocks not actually solving the equations in the "Given" area.   For this design, I am trying to determine my embedment depth to reach Sum of Forces = 0 and Sum of Moments = 0. I have initial guess values based on conservative estimates and was intending to have Mathcad solve for an exact solution.   The issue I'm having is that Mathcad will provide a solution, and then when I try to verify the solution, Sum of Forces does = 0, however Sum of Moments does not.   The conventional method I am basing my approach on is shown in the "Conventional" attachment and the actual site characteristics are shown in the "Project Site" attachment. These are purely for reference if there happen to be any Civil Engineers looking at this post.   Do you all have any ideas why this might be the case? I appreciate any help you can provide!   Thanks Riley

  Using the .dft function in Prime 2.0,  I cannot figure out how to get Mathcad to generate the Fourier transform (F.T.) of a function which is centered about  the zero point (in the time domain).  Regardless of the actual values of the indices used for the array which represents the time-domain function, Mathcad seems to interpret the first point in the array as being at time zero.  So if I have a time-domain function that runs from t= -10 to t= +10, when Mathcad calculates the FT, it interprets the time domain function as running from t=0 to t=20.  This gives the correct frequency amplitudes but it does not produce the correct phase profile.  For example, if the time domain function is a rectangular pulse centered about t=0,  the phase of all the constituent frequencies should be 0 (i.e. the F.T. is “real”). However, the .dft function produces a phase profile that corresponds to a rectangular pulse centered at t=100, which is a completely diffe
