Mathcad

How do you convert xmcd files to mcdx without Mathcad 15?  Or just view the xmcd files would be nice.  I do not have Mathcad 15 anymore, how do we do this?  Mathcad prime 4.0 canot convert them without Mathcad 15 please help

I am posting this question again.  I created several Mathcad files (using 15)  last year.  I tried to open them yesterday.  I got a message saying "not a valid XML file"  .   Then I tried to attach the offending file and it would not attach, saying "file contents do no match file type".   Can someone out there explain what is going on and how to correct this.   Has PTC developed a fix for the problem?  My email address is dmgjr@suddenlink.net 

I have several files I created last year.  They are typed as xml files.  Now when I try to open them I get a message that they are not valid xml files.   Can someone explain why this happens and how to fix it.  I am attaching one of the offending files.   When I try to attach the file I am told the contents do not match the file type

Hey!   I'm having an issue with my mathcad file. It says the file isn't  supported tho i remember saving it yesterday and it worked perfectly. I'll attach the file below. Hi all.   I have some files that read data from text files and then does some calculations.   In some instances that data may be moved which basically "kills" the calculations.    How can I "embed" the data into the Mathcad file so that it becomes self contained?   Do i have to copy the data into a matrix or table or is there another way?   Thanks.

Hi, I have a rather large matrix (1100 x 40) from which I tried to filter out the data that have NaN content, but to no avail. When I searched for the problem in my code I found that the the filterNaN function sometimes didn't filter NaNs although the entite columns was filled with NaN. I tested this by checking whether the value is indeed NaN, which it is. Checking whether the same value is a scalar returned also a positive?!?  (see attache sheet which contains a subset of that data). Does anybody have an explanation for this contradiction and/or can tell me how to avoid this? Thanks Raiko

Hi everybody! Primary question is: How could one define a complex number? I tried it  assigning  Re(C):= Formular1    Im(C):= Formular2 After that I assigned:  G:=Re(C) + Im(C) This shouldn't be neccessary, because a complex number is defined by its components. But it is obviously neccessary. Without that a plot doesn't work. I attach the whole working sheet and the Input data of the load in the time Domain. Thanks in advance! Udo    

In Mathcad If I have 3 functions a, b and c and I whant d to be the biggest out of the three how do I do that? Like:   d=max[a:b:c]=biggest value   Thanks for help

Hello, i would like to plot the inductance current in mathcad. Piecewise functions describe the problem. The piecewise function starts from the value before. How can I do it? Piecewise function with if/else are easy, but how can i save the function value.   Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone,   I am currently trying to insert 8 references (worksheets) into a central worksheet to pull data for a calculation.   Previously, when using 4 references I have not had any errors. In my current calculation, out of the current 8 references, 2 have errors as shown below:   "There are calculation errors inside "......." "   There are no errors in the referenced worksheets, I have also tried to copy the calculation into a new worksheet, restart the computer, re-enter the reference etc.   Has anyone else had this issue before?   Could it be due to there being too many references?   (I am using Mathcad Prime 3.0 and have tried this in 4.0)   Thanks,   Henry

I have been a long user of Mathcad, back when it was a DOS program.  Currently I am using v15 but am planning on moving to Prime 5.  On some of my project I have to load six or more spreadsheets.  The multiple spreadsheets are loaded at the same time, via nested matrix.  Each cell has a READEXCEL for each case.  The individual matrix is accessed using the indexes.  I have two questions:   1. Will Prime support a similar method of reading multiple spreadsheets? 2. What is the change in performance?   I had been holding off on making the change because I have to have 2-D plotting for data checking and presentation.

Hey folks I am quite new to the software. I have a question of converting a nested matrix as in the attachment to a clean matrix. What I am doing is to manually match the row number to the final clean matrix. But since I will change the number of rows and the number of submatrix rows, is there anyway we can do it smarter? Standard 3D View component is good enough for me except two things: It`s impossible to pan and rotate view about some point (center of rotation) So, Is there some 3D view ActiveX component with panning and rotating about some point opportunities?
