Hello,I have a prob. i don't have the source media to install on W2012 64 B to instal PTC licence Tools on the server 2012 .I have the new licence txt but not the program. I tried to copy mnually ( it is not the best i know ) the folder on C:\Program Files\flexnet\ from XP sever to Windows 2012 and good configured the service lmtools with the the new key PTc sent me. but ir says when i start the server : Server Start Failed. The Server May Already Be Running!! Reread Server Failed, and the service don't flexlm service 1 don't want to start..lmgrd is not running: License server machine is down or not responding. See the system adminstrator about starting the license server system, or make sure you're referring to the right host (see LM_LICENSE_FILE).Hostname: __HOSTNAME__License path: 7788@__HOSTNAME__FLEXnet Licensing error:-96,7. System Error: 11001 "WinSock: Host not found (HOST_NOT_FOUND)"I think i gave need a new version compatible in W212
Hi,I'm a newby with Mathcad Prime and I'd like to know how can I use trigonometrics symbolism, ie 90 degrees angle like pi/2 or cos of 0.36 radians like 3 times square root of 73 fraction 73 and so on.Mathcad returns me the approximate decimal numbers and not the symbolic fraction or the symbolic pi.Thanks in advance
Hello all,is it possible to use symbolics calculation within a programming box in MathCad Prime 3.1? In particular I'd need to solve an equation using symbolics evaluation (float,32) and use the obtained result, that is a real number, for further calculation within the same programming box.Thank you!Domenico
To all,I am trying to see if one can find a parameter required to fit a known equation to a set of data points. See attached. I have an equation Q(w,wn,zeta) and would like to see if it 's possible to find the value of zeta required to fit the Q() for a given data set Test 1: For a given range of w values, a value of wm and zeta = 0.04, I calculated the Q value, allocated them to a table to “mimic” a data set (not important but it follows how data is provided. I am trying to work “backward” by trying to find the zeta value required to fits Q at the max value. (Obviously mcad must predict zeta =0.04 !) I have set up ‘test 1’ as a root() but nothing is return Test 2: Use a subset of a known data set and see if one can find the zeta value required to fit Q() passing through 3 points of that subset I know that must people will say that I am tackling the problem the wrong way but I have to start somewhere and that why I am looking for advice Any pointers by the mor
Dear All,I need to change computer and as MC11 is no longer supported I was trying to define where I could find the activation key on my old computer. Any ideas?Thank you in advance
I have an equation that is long and extends past the edge of the formatted page. How can I get the equation to wrap to the next line?
In larger documents with several figures inserted using clipboard I have seen the following behaviour. While working on the document it seems ok. Figures are places where I placed them etc. After having closed the document and Mathcad and then re-opening the document I find that several (but not all) of the figures are shuffled around. Have you seen similar? This is an extremely critical bug to us.Kind regards,Michael
Title pretty much sums it up.I've been using Mathcad 15 for almost a year with a license which runs through my school's server. So it's a server license. One day it just wouldn't launch. I've tried everything from re-installing to running it in compatibility mode. Please help if you can!(maybe) relevant info:Windows 10Lenovo laptopThanks in advance, Kevin.
I have create a set of random locations and then at each location I place an object to simualte an image. The delta just makes sure no objects are within 3 pixels of the image edge.I know want to be able to change the locations now to represent the following regular pattern. I believe horizontallt there is a pitch of 8 pixels, and vertically a pitch of 9 pixels with a horiztonal shift of 4 pixels.Thnaks for any helpJason
how can I write "otherwise" in mathCAD prime 3
Hello,i am using mathcad 15. i am not sure why M1(x) and M2(x) yield different results. the term shaded blue is the same in both functions. The second term shaded green, in M2(x) , i just simplified more than the one in M1(x) . So i was expecting to see the same results for M1 and M2. But i am not sure what i am doing wrong. Thank you!
How can I do this in mathcad prime 3
To allI have searched in the doc (signal processing) but cannot any function doing the "half power" (frequency) band.if I have a set of data (X,Y) and a known point (Xn,Yn), I want to know the 2 co-ordinates X1 & X2 [(X1,Y1) & (X2,Y2)] so thatY1=Y2 = Yn/sqrt(2). Set up a simple "search" function but surely there must be something in mathcad!ThanksReqgads
hi, this can't be hard can it?.. am new to mathcad and am trying to import 3 columns x12 rows of excel data by copy/paste into a table and/or a matrix etc with the intention of plotting on a 3d surface graph...I can paste the values into the mathcad matrix ok but can't seem to assign a variable name to the matrix... so graph can't load it (nor can anything else refer to it I suppose)...the table rows/columns aren't read in from the excel data - they are presumed 0, 1, 2 etc - so axes are preset to 0, 1, 2... rather than 1st 2 columns of data in excel file - graph just plots 3 columns of data imported as if they were functions f({0, 1, 2}, {0, 1, 2})... which seems a bit dim ...(my 3 columns in excel are the x, y, z) function should be {excel col3} = f({excel col1}, {excel col2})I must be missing something obvious - can anyone help?lots of thanks
PTC Mathcad Prime 3.1 is now available for customers to download. If you are active on Global Support please make sure you retrieve a new license file through our online licensing tool (instructions attached). The new license file will activate all versions from Prime 3.1 back to Mathcad 14.0. If you are not active on Global Support, feel free to download the Express version here. For details on what's included in this latest release, please see the blog post below.http://blogs.ptc.com/2015/03/02/announcing-ptc-mathcad-prime-3-1-2
I've been doing curve fitting to the logistic function as applied to population growth. The relevant function was miner() in the older version, but was changed in 15. What was the reason for this change?
To all,is there not a function in mathcad to return the "top N" value of a data set?ThanksRegards
Hello everyone. There is someone who kindly can tell me what to do to get a better simplification?
I am very new to Mathcad and am trying to complete an assignment in which I need to calculate the number of occurrences whereby load of a system is greater than resistance. I have created my file and programme in line with my course notes but at the end am getting an error message stating that the array in my if statement is invalid. I attach file for anyone that can help.Thank youAndy.
HiIs it possible to get an equation for a graph similar to the function of excel "Trendline" in Mathscad? I would like to get the equation for differentiation purpose. Thanks
I have been working on a document for several hours. I set auto save at 4 minutes and got a popup every 4 minutes with the save address on it. At the end of that time I closed the system down, came back later, opened the file and nothing had been saved. I looked in the default save location and the file was not there either. This is a serious problem. I have raised the issue with my reseller but not sure what they can do. Anyone else had this problem ? PTC needs to look at this. I noticed the save address on the popup said Mathcad 14. I have Mathcad 15. The reseller said this could be the problem but offered no solution.
Hellow, I have made a mathcad file, whereas it is possible to calculate the basic properties of every figure, this is great for quick determination for difficult shaped beams.Starting with, X and Y coordinates as a table, -> and then draw the figure -> calculate all possible properties (Area, moment of inertia, center of grafity etc)See underneath for Area. The calculation has been checked for many options and it works fine. But, i still think there is a more easy option for this problem. Question is;Is there a possibility to do this same calculation via intergration? if so how?
Can someone help me with a mathcad 3.0 numerical solution for the problem attached. I need to be able to write a loop to compute the displacements, velocity, and accelerations at each time step, and then plot these graphs vs time.thanks
