Hi all,I have a completely new problem with 3D and 2D symbols. This problem appeared suddenly. I never had this problem before. And after I had this problem, it also appeared for a colleague. That's why I decided to ask for advice here in the forum. What is the problem?Suddenly, I can no longer insert symbols. And symbols that I was able to insert before are suddenly no longer visible. Please watch the added video. Perhaps one of you has a good explanation and solution. Otherwise, I will have to contact support ... again. Best regardsRamon bohne(Siemens Energy)
I am switching from IDF to IDX soon and I don't understand the process of uploading files to Windchill after small electrical components have been added to the board from the ECAD side. On a large board, there are bound to be several small components that are added during the ECAD Validation process. They are valuable to see in the mechanical 3D model because they help with interference checks, but they slow down assembly performance drastically. Once I accept the components to be added to my assembly, is there a way that I can easily suppress them all so that I don't slow down my computer? Secondly, when I check-in the assembly to Windchill, it tries to check-in the small components as separate parts. Can I stop them from coming in as individual parts? If not, then how can I rename them before exporting them so that we don't run into issues with trying to check-in electrical components with the same name all the time?
Include which software and version you are using!Creo Illustrate 12.1, but any other version missing it tooExplain what you already tried.I miss some of the CGM export profiles, compared to ISO DRAWDoes anybody else having same demand for e.g. S1000D in Creo IllustrateInclude a screenshot Compare Iso Draw 7.4 vs. Creo Illustrate 12.1 Help centerAll not marked missing, especially the S1000D is my demand
I am using Creo Schematics Release 12.0 and Datecode 12.0.0.0When selecting a component on the schematic, previously (in v9.0) the parameter panel would update to show which component was selected, with version 12 however I have to close the parameter panel and reopen it to show which component I have selected to edit its parameters. What's strange is that another users computer does not have this issue with both mine and his installation being brand new.I have already reinstalled 3 times to see if it would fix the issue but it has come back each time, I have also cleared any settings I changed and keyboard shortcuts etc to no avail. There are no error messages in the console.
It seems a little thing but the ability to complete sketch entitiies and return to the select tool, to complete features, to activate the OK button on most pop up windows, etc. all using the middle mouse button is a massive advantage in efficient workflow and productivity - use Solidworks for a bit and you notice the increased mouse travel. Completing a sketch though is a significant ommision from the list - you still have to directly pick the pick the green tick. If the middle mouse button also completed a sketch this would complete the set beautifully!
Hello, I'm exploring the idea of automatic view creation, where a program would intake a part number of an assembly, highlight it, and export a capture of that part in the assembly and potentially create a view of it. In order to do this, the following would need to be possible:GUI-less API integration with IllustrateAPI-enabled Camera manipulationAPI-enabled Part search and manipulation (highlight, color, transparency)Are any of these possible within Illustrate? Which APIs can work with Illustrate (Web.Link, J-Link, C/C++ Toolkit)? Best, Charlie
We are using Creo View 10.1.0.0. I am trying to learn how the two compare tools work (geometry and view state). I cannot determine how Creo view decides where to place the Compare Report [annotation set]. Sometimes it puts it in the first picked iteration, sometimes it puts it in the second picked iteration. I saw a video where someone actually had the iterations shown in the primary panel, next to the part file name. Unfortunately, ours does not show this info. Is there a way to show it? I was thinking if I knew which was which, I might be able to determine where the report gets saved.
I am having trouble with the scaling on flat-to-screen annotations when publishing a .pvz from Creo for viewing in Creo view. Previously I was using Creo parametric 7, and the flat-to-screen annotations would show up approximately the size in the screen window as I had it set in Creo. After upgrading to Creo 10, the flat-to-screen annotations shrink and move on publishing. Is there a recipe file setting I can use to get them to scale properly? Hello. I have a project in which I use AutoCAD. I have several files in .edz format that I need to open to convert them to a format compatible with AutoCAD. I open one of these files in Creo View Express 12.0: And the following message appears: Does anyone know the reason for this error and how to resolve it? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello,I am hoping someone is familiar with a way to tie the "color" parameter in block properties to the shape's color representation. I assume there is a need to designate each RGB or whatever value within the shape section with a name select-able within the block properties.
Hello folks,I'm a new user for Creo Schematics (specifically using Schematics Lite 12.0) and I've been trying to modify the sample catalog into a broader Template for my org to use, but I'm having trouble actually saving the Template file such that any of my changes actually stick. My workflow is as follows:Open an instance of Schematics and load in the sample catalog. Delete the provided design explorer sheets.Modify the sheets in Catalog Explorer (simply swap the PTC logo and address for my company's on the A3 sheet, for example)Save As to an RSDT file.Having done that I would expect that when I open a file and point to this newly created Template, the A3 sheet should have the logo and address but it doesn't.What exactly am I doing wrong? The documentation on Schematics is sparse.... Cheers,Boris
Hello everyone, I’m using Creo 8.0.9 and I need to create a sticker adapted to the surface, but for that I’m using a decal. When the sticker is flat, applying the decal is easy, but when it’s curved, it becomes very difficult. Is there a better method?Or is there any parameter in the planar mode that can be set to automatically adapt to all surfaces?
Hello,😁I am trying to implement Creo Schematics and Parametric for my university's Formula SAE team.Unfortunately I have issue loading the made .csv files back into Schematics.Initially the Datatable csv was fine but now with the Membermap updated, it no longer uploads into Schematics.Under the impression that the Type declared in the parameter of the wires I initially used was the issue, I tried to adjust the $$$datasettype$$$ value of the Datatable to different forms, referencing other wire types but this was not the issue still.I've attached the two Excel files I've put together to this message In hopes someone might understand where issues are arising. As well, here is a link to my original post in case that might be beneficial. I will be working on putting together a datatable set for the connectors (Mostly Deutsch) as to ensure that Creo will be set up far enough that auto-routing is possible even I don't manage to implement it for our Vehicle's CAD, this final semester of
I am using Creo Schematics Release 12.0 and Datecode12.0.0.0I need to draw a functional diagram of a refrigeration system. Is Schematics the right PTC tool? Are there libraries dedicated to refrigeration components? Is there a tutorial dedicated to this type of system?
Is the "Multi-line Text" tool in Creo Schematics very tedious to use, or is it just my experience?I am trying to place a multi-line note, in the Multi-line Text user interface the note looks as I want it to appear on the field of the drawing. However, when I place the note, it adds spaces between lines. I've tried changing the settings in the Temporary Note Properties GUI, but even those settings are hard to understand what they do. Help please
I was able to import the XML from Creo Schematics and autoroute my harness, however, the spools imported by the XML are locked and I'm not able to edit them in Creo. i.e. if I want to change the bend radius or the color or any other parameter in the spool, the spool it's locked. Image on left shows the locked icon and image on right shows unlocked spool Locked icon in model treeUnlocked icon in model tree
Hello, Currently using Creo View 10.1 Is there a functionality to create section views based off of user defined reference planes that are created from references to points, edges, and planes on the objects being observed?
We’re encountering an authentication issue with Creo View in our shop floor kiosk setup and would appreciate any insights or suggestions. The below issue is observed after configuring Windchill with SSO Environment:Windchill 12.1 with SSO EnabledCreo View 11.1 Setup Overview:The kiosk runs on a shared local Windows account (saaccount) used by multiple users to log in.Once logged in, users access the Windchill 12.1 application via Chrome and authenticate using their individual Windchill credentials. When they attempt to open a CAD object using the “Open in Creo View” option, Creo View fails to launch and returns the following error:saccount, 500 – You are not a registered Windchill userObserved Behavior: It appears that Creo View is attempting to authenticate using the Windows login (saaccount) rather than the Windchill credentials used in the browser session. Since (saaccount) is not a registered Windchill user, the authentication fails. Has anyone faced a

HelloI noticed that when navigating through the model, you change what you're looking at by moving the model itself instead of your perspective. Meaning: the camera is fixed, and the only thing that moves is the model.I'm looking for a way to navigate through the model (while using a spacemouse) in such a way that the model stays still, and the only thing that's moving is the camera. Think of it like the model is a building, and I'm changing what I see by flying a drone to see what I want. I've been able to approximate the functionality I'm looking for, but what throws me off the most is that the center of camera rotation is always around an object instead of around the perspective of the camera itself. I'm using Creo View 10.1 with a SpaceMouseI've tried changing my navigation mode to Catia and PTC CreoI've tried changing my view mode from orthographic to perspectiveI've tried both 3D navigation methods "as defined by the general model" and "explore"I've tried inertial spin
I am getting frustrated finding good tutorials for Schematics. I need to generate a Wiring Diagram(s) for a test rack. I have to generate multiple complex custom components (artifacts?) with large numbers of connections. I have done the artwork and have it in .DXF format. I have fought through and figured out how to load the DXF's into the editor, but I need how to figure out how to take the DXF and do pin assignments and make it a reusable stand alone component to put into a library for reuse. Does PTC have any online tutorial for Schematic? I am running 10.0.0. I find tutorials for some parts of this but they are years old and the instructions don't match the new rev. This ain't my first rodeo, but the inability to find instructions, or tutorials has me frustrated.
