I am trying to automate Creo Direct through creating asynchronous toolkit which function is available for this and how can i get active creo direct session?
We are working from a Parts List in Windchill, which creates a c3di file. When we Update Illustration and open the c3di file in Illustrate, every part that has an Item Number will have an annotation applied to it. So if I have 50 parts in the model, all of the parts will have an annotation when it is first opened. Also, when I make a new Figure, it does the same thing. It does this every time you open the c3di file whether it was saved like that or not.Is there a command that tells Illustrate to automatically populate every Item Number by default in some config file somewhere? I tried looking but I couldn't find anything. Windchill 11.1 Illustrate 6.0 Mike
We are the same team and do the same project at that same time. Our product consist of over 200 ea WID. One guy who is leader create BID. and then the other 3 guys create WID. My questions are ;1. How to check BID-WID with separate BID & WID?2. How to work when team do the same project?
Pretty much what the title says. i've found the setting of how to turn a useless 'high-level'-3D thumbnail into something workable. Now how do i make it open my files like that by default? While i'm here, how do i make Shaded with edges the default render mode? Br, Jan-Willem
Hello, I am attempting to compare two pdfs in Creo View. (they have been opened as "drawings") When I select the two items in the 'viewables' tab and I right click... there is no "compare" option to click on (as I have seen in tutorials and PTC instructions) Any advice on how to turn on this 'compare' functionality within Creo View MCAD? Thank you in advance
All the line number become J-ERR when i open .rsd file by schematics 3.0
Please use the "Creo Layout:" label for Creo Layout conversations.
It looks like Creo View has been removed as a filter option in the PTC knowledgebase. Is there a different place I should search for Creo View information?
I am having some issues with getting a couple of assembly files to publish. I am guessing when we get to putting these files into a drawing, the publishing times will increase even more and still fail. Trying to get some parameters set so we can publish these drawing later in the week. I have increased the time outs to short 600 and the long to 5400. I have increased the publish.cadtimeout.assembly to 15000. Any suggestions beyond increasing these numbers again? I will increase them later. Windchill 11.0 m030 CPS16 Creo 4.0 m110
I am using Creo parametric educational licence and Creo view express free version. 1. I have created 2 combinations states in the creo parametric model and selected publish option. I can see that and edit in Creo parametric but when I export / save as to Creo view (tried all 4 extensions), The combined states are not visible under viewables section. 2. The CAD color is too dark in Creo view but it is normal in creo parametric. Can it be made similar to creo parametric Can anybody help. Thanks in advance.
Connecting cables, wiring, flexible circuits are a large part of our assembly processes and need special attention. It would be awesome to be able manipulate cables and wiring in the cad model to simulate assembly more accurately. Would this be possible in the future?
Hello all - I started 7 years ago with ProductView 6 and then version 8 and now I try to get along with CreoIllustrate. My actual problem is: how do I move the trackball out of the middle of the selected door and adapt it on the hinge?Or how do I define axis along the hinges to move the selected door of the filter casing?Of course I know about the solution in using the trackball in front/top/right orientation, but I am sure, there is a smarterfunction in CreoIllustrate. An example is shown in the attached video: how to turn the safety clip in CreoIllustrate?thx -bye
Hi everyone, Im coming across an issue where the call-out has an non transparent box around it in the 2D figure. Is there a way to change this so I can see the lines behind it? in the 3D model on the call-out itself I choose to have no shape and the wording goes across it just fine. Screenshots of both the 2D and 3D included Thanks in advance!
Hi,Is there any way to duplicate (copy & paste) a certain part or assembly in a Creo Illustrate file? E.g. if you need a screw 10 times in a drawing, but it is only included once in the original assembly.Accordind to the help files I think this should be possible as described below, but I can't find the Advanced Editing menu anywhere.Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance. To Copy and Paste NodesYou can select more than one part to copy and paste. The steps below describe the workflow using the shortcut menu, but you can also access the commands from the ribbon.1.Click Structure > Edit Structure. The Structure Edit tab opens.2.Select one or more parts to copy, and then click Advanced Editing. A message to warn you that you can lose unsaved changes appears. Select Save or Discard to proceed.3.In the Structure Tree, right-click and choose Copy.4.To insert the parts, select a node, or multiple nodes, right-click and choose Paste. The copied parts are pasted onto th
Hello, I am using Creo Illustrate 6.0 and have windchill 11.0 M030-CPS17. I have created animation, sequence, and couple of figures for illustration. I'm trying to publish illustrations to windchill so that graphics can be used in arbortext. But I'm getting error message that publishing to a server location is not supported. Thanks
We get often Navisworks Files. Modeling should have a Data Exchange Interface for such files.
Hi, I am doing some Illustrate demo for a customer. I was trying to import several .dgn files and .step files and making animations to show them via Vuforia Studio. But after imported them into Illustrate, some parts in .dgn files were at wrong place. And when I tried to publish .step file to .PVZ. I got a error message said "No publish options defined". Attached files are samples. What can I do to correct them.
Hello everyone ! I think it could be great to enable Creo View to display hatching on a section. This is something widely used on the industry and really important for the Model Based Design. Is there any enhancement on this subject ? Have a nice day 🙂
Can the MASS parameters of the creo parametric parts / assemblies be somehow retrieved with creo view?If yes, how? Thanks,Matteo.
Hello, Can someone tell me how secure the .pvz format is against reverse engineering? I want to share some assemblies using this format but I'm afraid someone may take the files, convert them to another format, and use them again in a CAD software. Thanks
Hi, I experienced issue with Creo Illustrate 6.1, where the model loading is very slow and the graphic is severely impaired. Below is the screenshot of the model when being selected in Creo Illustrate. The model is of .FBX format and of 9.47MB. I've verified that my OpenGL library version is greater than 1.1. My server spec is 16GB for RAM, and have sufficient space (60GB available). OS is Windows 10 64 bit. CPU is quad-core. Other information is as follow: What could be the issue here?
When we set a fiber (in block diagram) to THICK_CENTER and then move a block that it is attached to, i get the preview of the change in the fiber, but as soon as i let go.. it locks up and crashes. Before I place a call is anyone else having this issue? DONT TRY THIS ON A WORKING DESIGN!!! Start something new and be ready to kill the process thru task manager. Using the latest 4.0 M010
Hi there 🙂 I want to save a "Sketch" with dimensions and a note, so i could "stamp" it on drawings and dont have to copy it from existing drawings... I want to save it like a table or symbol and surch in creo after it... Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain... here one example how this "sketches" are looking Thank you and all the best!!!
Link to Case: https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/case.jsp?n=15398519 Hi, "Hide Selected" command is NOT allowed when FACES Selection Method is selected in Creo Illustrate. Is there any other way to hide faces/selected items when choosing FACES in the Selection Method ?Thank you in advance Badr EL ANDADI
Hello to all, I am trying to export a Creo Parametric assembly to pvz which contains annotations both at the assembly and part level. I noticed that if I save the annotations in combined states they are exported to pvz and I display them in Creo View 6.0. However, the combined states of the assembly are exported by themselves, but not the parts. Is there any chance to do this? Thank you, Matteo.
