Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: OpenDJ Control Panel issue.Description: Hi, I'm very much feeling like a noobie with everything related to Windchill DS and now OpenDJ (ver. 4.6.5 on Win Server 2022)... In Control Panel I started encountering issues with accessing the lowest levels of the branches. If I click on them the entries are not shown and the GUI starts asking about Unsaved Changes. When I clicked the save option there's "Error: The entry is not correct. Details: the DN is not valid." I've read the Control Panel may have issues with ldif file encoding, characters etc. Could this be it? Looking at the file contents it seems ok compared to similar from WindchillDS on another server. What to do?

Hi avillanueva,I need your assistance .Currently we are using Legal Value List and that list contains 1000+ values which are poll separated.We have random values like some values starts by Number some of them starts by ABC so we want to enhance the search capabilities so user can search by any numeric or characters value ,and then it will highlight in legal value list.Now if any value user want to selects then he needs to scroll complete list .For the same need a assistance which approach will be better .like if we can use DU to add searching criteria within same legal value list or any different approach for this things because here we add values in runtime from WC UI so need to think in that way .Please suggest the solution or approach to achieve this

I have users that are in need of renaming documents, but the Rename is not visible in the Actions pull down?  After investigating I see that the Visualization license has the Rename turned off (see attached).  My users need this license to use Creo so not sure how to allow both?

I wrapped up my questions to PTC with utility "works to specification" which is not the deep level of understanding I was hoping for, I was assured that things like purging and deletion would be unaffected but I want to test that to be sure or at least document them. @Marco_Tosin, let me know if you've seen anything odd since you said you ran this before me.  Here is what I wanted to document. In our use case, all MFG views were created from the Design view using "New View Version". We never revised from the MFG view downward. I am sure the conversion had to make some compromises for other use cases but the database does record the predecessor version in its tables showing it came from the Design view in each case. Post conversion, except for the first version of the MFG view, all now show as revises.  While the predecessor version was altered, as mentioned in my previous post, the iteration that the version was created from was retained showing the Design version. We've set up SSO in Windchill with Shibboleth. This works fine. But now we want to login with a local user (like wcadmin) and don't know how to do this. We always get redirected to the Shibboleth and Microsoft Page. Does anyone know how to get this achieved?

Hello, Is it possible to create a visual overview from Productstructures? For example I have a Product A which is made out of 5 Material and one material out of the 5 is used in Product B.   If you don't know that you have to open every component and go to where used and see it there. In my mind there should be something like a visual thing, which you can open and you can basically follow the structures whereever you want. In my simple example it is probably fast, but if the product structures are bigger, it gets more complex. Up to Windchill 11.1.something there was something like this (don't remember the name), which had kinda the idea of this, but was really slow and very unintuitive. Is there something out there where you could create something like this? Going even further this would be so fantastic to have to go through the whole productstructure and go down and up from one component and not switching between different parts. Best

Linking back to this post which appears unresolved: Does anyone know if Windchill supports Data encryption AT REST and IN TRANSIT within ORACLE or between ORACLE and the Application Server @ScottMorris , did you ever find an answer on this? My DBA pinged me on this recently. I see in docs that Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) tablespace encryption is documented and supported along with JDBC over SSL. From what I am told, TDE is not supported with Oracle Standard Edition. They are asked about Table Level Column Encryption called DBMS_CRYPTO. Reply back if you have anymore information.

I do not want user to have a additional work of downloading PDF and creating as WT Document in Windchill. Curious what you all feel about this requirement.  The web server must set an inactive timeout for sessions. What values do you have and are you seeing this requirement for those implementing NIST SP 800-53? My observation with SSO, users will get re-authorized when refreshing page or selecting links. However if they execute a search or click the flyout tab after their session has been inactivated, it failed to complete the cycle. Users are grumbling that the timeout is too short and I tend to agree with them. I would not care if search worked without having to refresh page first. 

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: I have a report that lists out a number of ECNs and how many reworks (trip count) per ECN there were. The table view of the report shows a new row for each incrementing trip count value. "Group by" doesn't seem to do the grouping by rows to consolidate the results.Description: The report template lists out the ECN number for a time range with it's trip count (number of reworks). The table itself has a row for each incremental value of the trip count.  Something like this:ECN NumberDateTrip countECN-123451/2/231ECN-123451/3/232ECN-123451/5/243 Is there a way in the report template to group the rows by the ECN number so that for the example above I just get a single row like this:ECN NumberDateTrip countECN-123451/5/233 Ideally I'm looking for a way of doing this without exporting out the table and then doing this in PowerBI (which works just fine). 

Has anybody an idea what's behind this change in Windchill 13.0? https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS423384 We have been told that the dot was never really supported but not checked till WT13.0. We and our suppliers are used to have a x.y rev. system for decades! Anybody already changed the system?
