Hi there, This post is less a question but more a "info" message. The problem Some years ago, I was looking for a solution to display on a promoted drawing, who approved the PR.There are several methods to get this done.You can run plugins from third party companies, which either set a value in a database or insert that information to drawings via a PDF watermark.You can use "alias attribute mapping" ( https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS131355 ), which unfortunately could not be implemented to drawing according to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs260828 .There have been product ideas to get this functionality to Windchill.At last, PTC implemented this (so I heard) From Windchill 12.1.2.0 ( https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs140710 ).Unfortunately, upgrading Windchill is not an easy task (especially for smaller companies, it can get really pricey ). Planning a system upgrade with Windchill 12 to 13 as well. Looking to see who has been down this road ahead of me and to share feedback. Specifically these questions: 1. Will Navigate 9.6 work with Windchill 12.0.2 CPS8? Or will it fail since CPS is not current? If it does work, it would be great since I do not need to upgrade both at the same time. 2. Does upgrade in place alter or update the database? Just need to know in rehearsals if DB has to be reset as well.  3. Will any custom apps be an issue? I have a few in there. Just checking if there are any special concerns here.

Version: Windchill 12.1   Use Case: We want a manual input value for creating a large Part Structure. Where may be more that 500 new Parts should be created at once. Later we can modify the attributes and once completed can directly create BOM from there. Description: Current New Multiple Part creation functionality includes adding 5 rows at once. So to create thousands of items at once it will take lot of time.   This is required because part number we have to keep in sequence for all parts.   If we use 5 rows. there could be a possibility that some other user adds parts during that time and automatically system will not take number in sequence.   So if there is any preference or some kind of code which can be written to change the row adding behavior can help.   You can refer screenshot to understand what i mean.   Regards, Jignesh  

We need to configure a business process in which we are using the Default "Promotion Request Approval Process" that is available OOTB. We want to stop the users from selecting themselves as an Approver in the Promotion Process.PTC Tech support said this isn't possible. But doesn't this kill the process by itself? When the process isn't fool proof to stop the user selecting himself as an approver what is the use of it then? Is this achievable through any configuration options?Thanks in advance!

Hello, is there any OOTB functionality to disable creating a Change Notice on a version of an object which is already present in the Resulting Objects of another Change Notice?Because it can be quite a common business requirement that if there is an ongoing change on an object, I don't want to add another change on it before completing one change.Regards,Om Panchdhane

The Swagger API allows to do that by using the searchObjects Web service. However, there is, to my knowledge, no web service allowing to do that in OData. Is there a way to do this using OData web services?Description: We have some process plans (com.ptc.windchill.mpml.processplan.MPMProcessPlan) that are linked to a WTPart (via a com.ptc.windchill.mpml.processplan.MPMPartToProcessPlanLinks). The main goal is to get all process plans linked to a specific part, filtered by a navigation Criteria. Greetings, When I want to create the connector base on ThingTemplate: PTC.WCODataConnectorThingTemplate , it shows in the log that's been created but it still lags on the save button which shows that still in the progress for saving and take time to save but it won't save so how to fix this issue to create such a connector to use the services and thanks

Hey...Does anyone know of a method to prevent multiple change notices being created for the same version of a WTPart or CAD Document?For example.I have a WTPart, CAD Model, and Drawing for part 12345 version 2.5A change request and change notice for one issue gets written against that set of data at that version.The change notice is still in process when...
