Hi, Everyone!   July has been a busy month for the PTC Community Team.  We have been busy making minor updates to the community UX.  We also loaded some new Community FAQs as well.   "Welcome and How To"  Updates   Be sure to go read these FAQs  to learn more about some changes to the member experience..   How to Notify (or Contact) the Moderator Accepted Solutions PTC Community Badges (Definitions and Explanations)   UX Changes   Below is a round up of some of the UX changes you may or may not have noticed!   1. "Redundant thread title" is now removed!  . Redundant thread title is now removed!  Members are now able to get to the thread details right away!           2.  Reduced white space. 20, 30, 40, 20, 120 pixels....gone!. See below.       3.  Removed Reply Box underneath each thread.  If you want to reply, just click the "Reply" button.  

Some of you may have received yesterday July 19th EST up to 1,260 notification emails related to old Creo topics that we archived as read only.  My apologies if your inbox have been flooded with emails. They are not spam. But I should have run the process so that it would not trigger notifications. Very sorry about this!

Sometimes community moderators find it necessary to move or remove content during their efforts to keep the community organized and productive. Here are some frequently asked questions concerning content moves. What are the reasons my message might be moved? Most often messages are moved because they were posted in the wrong area of the community. For example, a Mathcad question posted on the Welcome & How-To's board would be moved the Mathcad discussion board where it would be more likely to get a response. On occasion, a message has to be moved or edited because it violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Outdated information may be removed and archived. Rarely, a large number of posts are moved due to a restructuring of the community. For example two related boards might be merged. Will I be able to find a topic I was following if it is moved?  Yes. If you are subscribed to a conversation, your subscription will remain, and links to the conversation will still work

It is common for online communities to have a robust gamification program with badges members can collect.  The PTC Community delivers! I just got this error trying to send a second private message to someone? Anyone else ever see this?    

Why are you limited to sending private messages in this system./community to only one recipient?   Ended up copying and resending to the second person.

Let's talk about one of the critical things to do on the PTC Community: mark a reply as a Best Answer.When you start a topic, you will receive replies from other members. When one of the replies is a solution to your initial inquiry, you should accept it as a Best Answer. Just in case, we will send you an automatic reminder after a few days for you to check the replies on your topic.  Why should you consider marking a Best Answer? Consider that someone took the time to look at your post and reply. A little acknowledgement goes a long way with marking a reply as a Best Answer if the suggestion works for your problem. Of course, a post to thank or further the conversation is a plus and always appreciated! Additionally, posts with a Best Answer are returned with a higher preference by search engines on the Community. You will signal a greater value for your conversation by marking an answer. This is a strong contribution to the entire Community! La

What is the process to request the addition of a label to classify posts?   As an example mapkeys ; in the 3D Part & Assembly Design forum there are 600+ posts about mapkeys. It would be nice to have this label available for use when creating posts. It is also a bit confusing as to where mapkey discussions should be posted, Customization or 3D Part & Assembly Design. Clarification on where to post common labels may be helpful.   I suspect the intent is that Customization was created for the APIs (Toolkit, Jlink, etc.) and was not intended for discussions regarding customization in Creo Parametric that is controlled by the customization.ui file.

Currently there is over 13,000 ideas and only 2 pages have been marked as "delivered".  PTC should be listening to their customers more.

Hi, PTC Community, I wanted to let you know that April 2nd, Friday morning (ET), our community is next on the list with our vendor to migrate  to a new server environment.  The Community Team will be monitoring/reviewing the platform at the time of migration to proactively identify any potential issues to our community. I notice that the last couple of weeks the Mathcad section of this forum is spammed quite a lot. The postings are from accounts created just to make one single post and on a first quick glance seem to be a valid answer. Sometimes they also contain a more or less hidden link - apparently to entice other users to visit the linked pages. Is this problem already known to PTC? It should, as I used the "Notify Moderator" option a lot on some of those posts, asking for the postings to be deleted (with little success). Are others experiencing similar annoying issues in other parts of this forum? @Jaime_Lee  Is PTC already taking measures to cope with the problem? In any case, I couldn't find anything about it in the community announcements so far. The PTC Community Team would like to announce that there is a new Mathcad Installation Forum where customers can freely ask questions and discuss Mathcad installation topics.   In addition to providing a place for these Mathcad conversations, our PTC Support Team has also preloaded several "Mathcad Installation Help Topics" that may address your specific installation inquiry.  Please take a moment to review and engage.   Here is a sneak peek to what type of content you will find.             This is one example of community knowledge sharing.  I know we have many community members that regularly help each other with PTC products and services.  Thank you for all your contributions!

I just wanted to add an idea and went to:   https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/idb-p/creoparametric   and when trying to click "Suggest an Idea", I get the red circle with a slash (do not enter) symbol.   Is there a new place to suggest ideas? Thanks, Dale

As mentioned on  Community Announcements the Creo Community is undergoing layout changes.  Screenshots are provided here for your easy reference.   High-level overview of changes:   Existing 11 Creo Parametric Discussion boards are being remapped to 6 boards. Single Creo Elements/Direct board is being expanded. New All Products Community page              

Doesn't look like there is an idea space for the community as a whole so I am putting this here.   Sometimes I have a product idea that becomes current functionality despite it not getting a lot of votes and bubbling up to the top of the list (enough for a moderator to flag it as current functionality). For these cases it would be nice to be able to retire the idea or to flip the switch to "current functionality" if I know it has already been incorporated in a newer release.   To be clear the functionality would only be turned on for the original poster to retire his or her own idea.
