How exactly am I expected to exclude answers from 2014?

Is the security alert for log4j still something that needs to be on the community? I'm just curious. Seems as if its "old news", in vunerability timeframes??

With my post at PTCooler, https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTCooler-OffTopic/2021-12-02-Friday-Humor-on-Thursday-Engineering-school-failed-me/m-p/761523#M826    It's a 10 items countdown. When I pasted the post into the body, the software decided it needed to fix my numbering on the topics:     So 9 became 11, 8 went to 12, so on and so forth. Is this a bug in the software? Thanks, Dale

The login behaviour has changed so that after login we find ourself at the (rather useless) main start page and not in the forum we came from as it used to be. Thats very annoying! Could this be changed back to what it used to be. Even better as it used to be a much longer time ago when we could (without being logged in ) reply to a posting, automatically were redirected to the login mask and after login we found ourself exactly were we came from - the reply window and could immediately type our reply. I don't understand why usability gets worse with every change! It definitely should be the other way round. I understand the reason for the (far too large on computer screens) new login page - obviously a tribute to smartphone access and a sign that developers are too lazy (or don't have the resources) to maintain differently designed pages for different devices. This is seen quite often nowadays and we have to live with this I guess. But the place where we are redirected after the login

Some fairly short time after logging in, perusing the Community, deciding to work up a worksheet, I return to the board to find this (after a refresh):         Would it be possible to auto-login to the Community, as per the large majority of other boards that I use?   Stuart

I'm currently also trying to review all the published ideas (I'm on page 50 of 238). I also saw some of them that were repeated or could be merged, others already implemented, but I was not so methodic as @StephenW to take note of them and aid @olivierlp in the process. I'll try to do it going forward.

Please allow new ideas to be commented on for at least 4 years.  Post that are not even 6 months old are already being archived and not being considered for incorporation into PTC products.   who else is a little put off by PTC's new archiving rules?   Pro/e user since 1992

I understand PTC's motivation to reduce the clutter in the hopes of focusing on more value added activities, however I think it is unfortunate that we cannot reply, comment and make suggestions on the policy where it was posted (Read only), so will do so here.  I hope others will add their feedback here as well.  I sincerely hope this updated policy means that PTC has a renewed interest in implementing customer feedback...   It seems to me that the number of votes within a certain time period is an obvious place to start, however there are other factors I would really like to see addressed by PTC that may give it equal or greater importance. Idea activity Archiving policy should really account for commenting activity/discussions as well as the number of votes within a certain time period. For example, there may be lots of comments (and page hits) in the same year that it is decided to be archived, even though there may not be a lot of votes.  This activity should

What happened to the PA community board?  It is not listed in the MENU anymore.  The MENU has been updated recently.

Performance Advisor content has been moved to "live" within the segments they represent.   Please find performance advisor in these community spaces listed below and engage!   Creo:    https://community.ptc.com/t5/forums/filteredbylabelpage/board-id/installation_licensing/label-name/performance%20advisor   Windchill:   https://community.ptc.com/t5/forums/filteredbylabelpage/board-id/Windchill/label-name/performance%20advisor   Integrity (Windchill SSE)   https://community.ptc.com/t5/forums/filteredbylabelpage/board-id/Integrity/label-name/performance%20advisor

I think the PA section is having some issues because, at least for me, it's not possible to subscribe to this forum so I haven't gotten any new emails in months.     Also, the message for the log4j problem is shown twice

Hi,the PTC help pages and support articles are badly viewable under Firefox (low contrast). They are fine in Chrome.Any ideas on how to change this?

Hi, PTC Community,   We had some PTC Community platform updates that the Community Team wants to make sure you are aware of:     1) PTC Community Terms of Service   You may have noticed a prompt to reagree to the PTC Community Terms of Service if you have logged in to even read this announcement 🙂      If you would like another look, you can always reread the PTC Community Terms of Service  here.   Note:  You might have noticed that there was also an opportunity to change your system-assigned community username  (i.e. xy_123456)  at the top of this TOS screen prompt.  No worries if you missed it, you can still change your username under "My Setttings". Learn more about changing usernames in the How to Change Temporary- System Assigned Username FAQ.   2) PTC Community Search    A post can now be created directly from the search query.  Try it out! Search> Select  "Post a Question"&gt

Hello PTC Community, For several years now the PTC Community has been collecting product ideas and suggestions from customers. We currently host ideas boards covering all business segments and major products. Every Community member with a customer support contract can post an idea. However, all Community members can vote on published ideas. Beyond the practical details, your contributions need to be placed in the right context to better understand their value. Product ideas typically attract new users who are on their way to mastering a product and see an opportunity to improve it. Experienced users also post ideas. Such users have a deep understanding of the product—sometimes decades of industry experience and expertise. They are actively helping others on the Community and publish suggestions for the product managers. You might ask, what is the role of a  product manager? At PTC, they are responsible for the business strategy behind the product. They establish a roadmap for the deve

Hi,   Under the old forum when I went to the Simulate/Analysis part of the forum one would perty much only see Simulate FEA and Mechanism Analysis related posts. How in this new forum do we return only Simulate FEA related questions/Enhancement requests?   Thanks, Don Anderson Creo User since 1994+

It is not possible to create an idea with the label 'simulate'.

I posted several product ideas today under the 'label' STRUCTURE It is clear now that this is essentially the same as the 'label' SIMULATE I cannot add 'SIMULATE' as another label 'SIMULATE' as a 'tag' is not permitted Therefore these will likely be missed by those who look for 'SIMULATE' How do I add this label?

Hi, PTC Community, We just wanted to notify you that Community Log In will be unavailable on Saturday, November 20th from 7:00 AM ET to 11:00 AM ET due to maintenance.  You will still be able read content, but you won't be able to post new topics, reply, or kudo posts.   Have a great community day!   Best, Jaime Lee

Every time I attempt to post a product idea I get ... correct the highlighted errors and try again.Post flooding detected (community received posts of a unique message more than 1 times within 3,600 seconds)

I have been getting email notifications (for years), but they have stopped in the beginning of December. I have not (intentionally) changed my settings and when I checked they seemed correct. I am using gmail if that matters. Any suggestions?

Is there a way a for a regular member to schedule a post? e.g. Writing a post today for the PTCooler to be posted on Friday morning 8:00 am EDT?   Thanks, Dale

If you reply to a topic and the go up one level and refresh the screen  (i.e.  https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric/ct-p/creoparametric) the reply show up as an unread reply (or new reply - green). If I am the one who posted it, why isn't it read already. I just left that page.   Thanks, Dale
