On top of the Mathcad community forum list is an empty picture that takes up a screen full of space. Please remove it, it's very annoying and could scare customers away!   Luc

Hi, Everyone,   Over the course of the next couple of months we are going to be changing and  "cleaning up" our menu. The first change comes with moving Windchill and Windchill Systems/Software Engineering (Integrity)  under the new PLM Category.                     Same Great Community Content!   1)Discussion Forums (Collaboration space with your community peers!) 2) Tips (+Tricks on how to use your Windchill Software--From PTC Employees + Special Guests to You! Expect to see additional schedule of posts in coming weeks + months!) 3) Ideas (Product Enhancement/Feature Requests to your PTC Windchill Product Management Teams!)            

Last October, the Community Team partnered with PTC/USER to take the top 20 ideas in our Creo Parametric Ideas portal and set up a separate idea section specifically to collect information for the Scottsdale PTC/USER Winter Forum.  The goal was to highlight the most important customer feedback (based on the survey) with PTC Product Management.   The Winter Forum is complete and feedback has been collected.  These ideas in our temporary idea portal (plus votes and comments) have been merged back into the original Creo Parametric Idea portal.   Thank you everyone that collaborated in this exercise, and those who came to the PTC/USER Winter Forum to participate in the debrief.   The PTC Creo Product Management Team has dedicated a series of meetings to go through these ideas and provide a status.  I attended one of the "introductory meetings to this CAD Idea Review Series." For a couple of weeks we've been able to enjoy a beutifully working functionality on this forum:😁 Copy and direct past of pictures, or even Mathcad equations.🤗 All of a sudden it's gone.😞 What happened? Didn't we praise it enough, or was the forum software updated...   Luc

I wanted to add a post to the Windchill Tips board but the Start a Topic button is grayed out.  How come?

Came across this today on the SolidWorks website.  I hope some day PTC gets to the point where they seriously consider ALL product ideas, not just those that hit a certain threshold.  Today the product ideas feel like a big black hole.  For the vast majority of ideas we have no idea if a product manager has seen the idea, what they think of it, or how it fits into the roadmap.   Every year, our users submit thousands of enhancement requests for our solution portfolio. We review all user requests, prioritize the ones we will work on and release enhancements with our annual major release in September as well as service packs throughout the year.  (emphasis mine)

You may have already seen this in your own favorite business news sources, but, here, at PTC, we are excited to grow our community of cad users with the recent acquisition of Onshape. Onshape is a computer-aided design (CAD) software system, delivered over the Internet via a Software as a Service (SAAS) model.   The why and how of this great acquisition for PTC can be found in our corporate PTC Blog, An Open letter from PTC CEO Jim Heppelmann to Product Development Industry   What does this mean for our own PTC Community? On my mobile phone currently there is no letter sybmol to access the private messages (https://community.ptc.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage). I assume, this is a general limitation on mobile devices. Could you please change this behaviour, so that I can easily access my private messages on mobile devices too?

I was wondering how often this new feature updates on your home page here.  I've been seeing the attached everytime I login, while the subject it mentions has not had a new comment since 8-15-2019.  I login here regularly, if that matters.  

I very seldom go to the PTC Community Home page, but when I did, this was waiting for me. Lukas had replied several hours earlier, and Stephen about a week ago. Why would this still be there after I have already gone to the topics from the little "bell" on the top of the page?
