HelloI have a Problem with Creo 1.0.I installed it with a Licence.dat what worked perfect.But if i try to start it i get this error.My system is Win7 enterprise and it runs in the Bootcamp of my MacBook Pro.I hope you can help me.Greetings Christoph

I have installed Creo 3.0 for university students for the free 30 days. The PTC Creo parametric, PTC creos imulate 3..., and PTC Creo options show on my wallpaper but when I click them, it says "missing shortcut," and "windows is searching for parametric.exe..."   Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to open it? I have Windows 8. I believe I installed it correctly. (I used license code and it said "success" and then "finish".)   Thank you in advance!!!

I found a thread with some intructions for adding images to surfaces, but they were for ProE menus. I thought I'd share how to do it in Creo - it really gives your robot model a "pop". Basically, you are going to create an appearance like a color or a texture and then you will apply it to a surface on a part. Here's the step by step:Select the arrow next to the Appearance Gallery Icon >>More Appearances – Appearance Editor comes up. Select the Map tab, go down to Decal and select “Image” from the pull down menu. Select the box to the left and a file selection menu will come up. In the select type pull down menu you can specify which type of image file to look for, navigate to the folder and file containing the image file you want to use, then select it. This will become an appearance choice that you can apply to a surface. It auto-sizes the image to fit the entire surface – there is a choice to edit decal placement but it seems to be grayed out and I haven’t been able to get it t

I work at the University of Michigan - Flint. We use Creo Parametrics Manufacturing to run our HAAS Mill. I have problems with various things such as drilling sequences. I can make it drill however I have to add a G83 to the mix as Creo does not have this line transferred over. What issues have you had with Creo Parametrics Manufacturing?

Hello everyone,I installed the Academic version of Creo 3.0 and I want to make a CAM file, but when I got to New, Manufacturing, NC Assembly, choose name and press OK, nothing happens. Is it an issue with the academic licence.Thanks for the help in advance.K.F.

Would a 575 lb. aircraft with a 15 foot wingspan be a sufficient design?

According to the Detailed Background, it says our UAV can go up to 1320 lbs. However, when we attended the webinar, they say that it's not recommended for our aircraft to go over 55 lbs, and that we'll need a Private Pilot's License for our aircraft. Right now, our planned aircraft weighs about 1300 lbs. However, if needed, we can switch back to our smaller design. What do you guys think? And is it recommended to build such a large aircraft?

Enclosed is a Java Class that only relies on the base Java SE and allows one to update a Thing's Property. FIrst let me say I am new to PTC Creo but I have used other CAD programs such as Inventor.We recently obtained an EKOCYCLE 3D printer and were looking for things to do with it. I found a model of Falco from Star Fox as an .STL and showed it to my mentors who told me that I should see if I could remove the gun from his holster and replace it with a wrench. I did that though a combination of Meshmixer and Meshlab. Afterwards I was told that I need to remove the disc from his other hip. I Have upgraded to creo 3 after a few attempts. But more importantly i have reviewed the selection of assembly models with supporting tutorials in the 'how to model almost anything' which is available to download on the academic resource page.what a great introduction to the software.. I tried out the first excercise with my year 10 engineers and they were hooked. It is good to have such a range of assembly models to investigate and build the basic understanding of assembly modelling.i Am going to continue working through the excercises and hopefully these pupils will get to grips with the software in a new way.thanks for the resources PTC.,and merry christmas to all. I see that Creo 3.0 release M020 is now on the academic server. Can anyone point me to a release notes/what's new document? Is it worth upgrading from M010?

Hi, I have successfully installed the student version of Creo and tried to open Creo Parametric, but the following warning jumped out and stopped me from using the software, what should i do, plz help.

Hi, I'm trying to set up my academic license, but I just can't seem to get it to work.I clicked on the setup.exe and used the Set up new license option, but it would not work so I used my old student license instead to install the program.Now Creo 2.0 works fine, but I need the academic license to work, because of the EMX we need at school.When I go to reconfigure.exe in C:\PTC\Creo 2.0\Parametric\bin it's basically the same. When I add the license in the summary the old one is available, but the statusof the academic one is blank. When I check the FLEXnet admin web interface is says the following:I am really clueless what to do, pls help.

This past weekend we updated all our laptops to CRE 3.0, all went well til we got to the last two laptops. We installed CReo 3.0 same as before on a laptop that was running Creo 2.0M120 , when we clicked the Creo 3.0 icon the time dial ran for a few seconds then nothing happened , tried again same thing , no error codes etc... , we thought 2.0 may have been interferring , we deleted all the PTC files and started over from scratch , Firewall and Antivirus were off. Same issue we click the Creo 3.0 ICon and get a time dial for about 5 seconds then it stays on the desktop screen , no errors, no codes as to what happened , it just won't run, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated , all other parts of install appear to go fine , IE getting a license, loading files, etc. no errors popped up. We did try reloading a third time with same results.

Does PTC still support ProEngineer Wildfire 4.0 License upgrades?

Hello Everyone, My team and I are just wondering where on the baseline CAD models we can use to store payload, our file (pusher fixed wing) shows a solid fuselage. Also where do we assume the original CG is located on the pusher fixed wing design in the baseline CAD models. Do we use Creo Simulation to find it or is their a known coordinate for this. Lastly is there a given maximum speed for the pusher design, in the detailed document it provides the cruise speed but not the max speed.Thank You,Michael Fasciano

Seeing a picture of 30 St Mary Axe, widely known as The Gerkin building in London, i wondered how the frame could be modelled in PTC Creo.A few minutes of observation followed by some fiddling came up with right and left handed helical sweeps patterned around a common axis. A revolved ring connects the ends at the bottom. See if you can come up with another method of modelling the frame.The PTC Creo model is attached. Does anyone with a 3D printer fancy printing one and posting a picture?
