Our school's 150 concurrent license expires in November 2014. How do I go about renewing/extending it before the expiration date?Thanks!

I have invited several members to the 4533 team. Some are showing up as Site members when they register and join and others as FIRST members. I can't seem to put Site members into roles (like mentor) and I can't figure out how some invitees are ending up with Site accounts and others with FIRST accounts.Any help?TIAWalter

Dear PTC Community Members,   I just realized after trying many different options, that what we can perform without any special process with Google Drive or Dropbox by only unzipping the "How to Model Almost Anything.zip" and "How to Develop a Product.zip" one can immediately begin the tutorial sessions using Creo Parametric if not constrained to the Windchill environment or workspace.   Now if I try to incorporate these lessons within WindChill, first I need to grab all the files within these different lessons and consolidate it into a SINGLE folder. After this, I need to upload all these mixed files into the the Windchill workspace tio then follow up with a CheckIn process. As I would expect, as soon as I tried this task errors started popping up left and right. Now if this process would be finally successful, then I would still have lost the context of having the CAD files and the structure of the original zip files just in order to be able to have Creo play nice with Wind

Is there a way we can have a preview of the CREO file in windchill so we don't have to memorize the names of all the parts? We have looked into using thumbnails, but there does not seem to be an option to do that. Is there any way of doing this?

Is there a way we can quickly and easily export windchill files onto a hard drive? The main reason we would like to do this is in the bizarre case that something could happen that would make our files inaccesible. Another application of backing up files is for when we are at competition and cannot connect to the internet due to the Field Control System. Is there a way to do this?

I have been trying to install the student version of CREO 2.0 and when I try to enter the product key, a window pops up and says "PTC Installation Assistant has stopped working" and no explanation as to why. I have attached a jpeg of a screen shot. I've submitted support requests and have heard nothing. What's going on?

I was introduced to Scalextric 4 Schools some years ago at a session run by Paul Spencer at Edge Hill. At this session we built a car using a chassis frame that fits the components that you can obtain today. Does anybody know if the file is still available somewhere? either in a suitable format for Techsoft 2D or as a DXF. Many thanks,Peter

I just changed the student version to the pro version but when i tried to opned a file created in the student version i got : the file .... was created with an educational version and is not compatible with the version that the host is running Can someone help me please? , i need the file i created before , is there a way i could convert to the student edition and viceversa?

Having followed the process to sign up for a student copy of Creo 2, I have installed the software as directed, however when I start the software it notes on the startup page that this is a 30-day trial copy. The web site states that students get a one year license copy? What have I done wrong?

I am brand new to using Creo for FTC. I have downloaded the program and the kit of parts. I have gone into Creo and set the parts as my working directory. When I try to open any part, I receive the message that the filee "cannot be retrieved". What am I doing wrong?

Our team is curious about when the information for the robotalk webinars will be released. If we recall correctly, the webinars start around the second week in September, correct?

Every year I set up the PLMS for my high school CAD class. It takes a while to get everyone signed up and attached to my assignments but the payoff is worth it to the dedicated student.Anyway, this year I have 2 students who I can't seem to add to my class. PTC is in the process of updating firstrobotics.ptc.com/Windchill to Windchill 10.2. As part of the process, we need to take the active server offline until the hardware configuration and data migration is complete. The server is moving from Europe to the US and getting a substantial upgrade. The new server should be much easier to use, much more reliable and fully support Windows 8.1If you have critical files you need access to, PM me and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

I am not being able to install the PT Creo. After the Licence Agreement when I click next the space where I have to enter the Simple Lecence Entry, it does not let me click or write anything.

Help please. I have a Mac, bootcamp. My laptop should meet the system requirements. I've tried uninstall, reinstall a few times. I made sure the firewall, etc were disabled. I've added the graphic instruction text file. I've pretty much tried everything I can find on the internet and in these forums. Nothing works. It appears my install was successful. The problem is I cannot run creo parametric, even in adminstrator mode. I get a user account control prompt asking if I want to allow the following program from an unkown publisher to make changes to the computer. Program name: parametric.exe, Publisher Unknown and file origin Hard drive on this computer. I click on Yes and the circular swirl appears as though something is going to happen. After a few seconds it just disappears and nothing happens.What do I need to do as I have a school assignment due in a few days!
