Hi, I tried to launch Creo Parametric 2.0 student version after i downloaded, but i encountered a fatal error. The system says: "Fatal error encountered. A traceback has been written to C:\Users\Public\Decouments\traceback.log Please send it to Technical Support."Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks
I've been struggling, creating a d-size drawing template with front-right-isometric views. I've got that all set but now I am trying to figure out how to fill in the title block information. I've seen some videos that show a prompted entry for those fields, but apparently I don't have those built in formats. Can someone explain (simple step by step) how to build a drawing template that will allow entry for those fields and also maybe instruct how to add a school logo to the title block.Thanks.
In response to a suggestion from Tim Brotherhood, I am posting here a zip file containing the Creo model (Creo2 Parametric Schools Edition) of the Quartz Clock Movement that I recently posted in a photo album. I hope it may be of use to others. The clock spindle is 7.5mm diameter, and the nut is currently set in a position to accomodate 3mm thick material but can of course be edited if needs be.
Hi everybody,Currently in an internship, I learn to use creo 2.0 by myself. For fiew days I have a problem and I hope you can help me. I modeled an engine on creo parametric and now I need to do an animation to show how the engine works (make move together gear, piston, valves... ). I can see everything turn when I run an analyse in the mechanism module and import it in the animation module of creo parametric, but I would like to see the engine in a section view to see inside the engine (the most interresting..).So the problem is that when I activate the section view and that i go to the animation module of creo parametric, the full view is automatically apply. I try to use creo illustrate who is made to creat animation but it's exactly the opposite, I can apply the section view but i can't make move all the parts together...So it' why i ask your help, is there a way to import the mechanism animation from creo parametric to illustrate? or an other solution to solve my problem? Thanks in
Hey, i use PTC Creo 2.0 Student Edition (mainly Parametric) on my Laptop with Windows 8.1. I have Creo 2 M070 but it takes about 3 minutes to load and I have problems with some operations. I have read, that Version M100 is needed for Windows 8.1 but I dont find a way to update the software. Another problem is that I cant use the Internet explorer in Creo 2 beacause IE 11 is also not supported in M070. I hope someone can help me because I need the software to study. Thanks for your replies

Monday night May 12 FTC teams from the Boston area came to PTC headquarters for a "Pizza, Robots, & Modeling" Workshop. FTC teams from Natick, Needham, Lexington, Sharon, and Lincoln brought their "Bots" and spent the evening learning engineering best practices for modeling their robots in PTC Creo. The idea for this workshop came from Hans Batra the coach of Needham High School's teams. Hans contacted PTC and asked if he could get his teams together with other teams and let the students network while learning how to better use real engineering tools to model their robots in preparation for next season. The students came and began the workshop by being assigned to 7 different teams and then each team was assigned a different robot. The teams first modeled the system envelope as well as divided their robots into subsystems and modeled the subsystem envelopes. The teams then divided responsibilities up among the team members and began modeling the subsystems. While the students were m

A lot of people asked for copies of the 2014 World Championship PTC posters, so I thought I would post them online for anyone who wants to print their own copy. Big thanks to Todd Kraft @ PTC for collecting all the team models and creating these awesome images.Scroll to the bottom of the page for the PDF download link...
FTC Team 7013 - Say hello to "SCORPION". Our robot was modeled, animated and rendered in PTC for this video and finally spliced together in a video editor. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks PTC for sponsoring our team this year. We learnt a lot and used PTC to do a static analysis on how the robot would hang on the bar, design our four bar linkages and also make sure that the different elements fit into the overall assembly. IIs there any way to tell which version of Windchill I am using. I am a member of a RWDC Team.
Hi,I'm posting this as an FYI to others incase they are having similar issues to the one we had in our office. Our office is new to Creo, we were running Inventor and ACAD, but we are moving to CREO after an aquisition. We were playing with the trial Creo 2.0 and the "Learning Connector", but it would not open for us. It did not work on 2 machines in the office that were on W7(64) with EI11. The error both machines got the following error:Script ErrorLine: 2156Char: 75Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'CompareDocumentPosition"Code: 0URL:https://precisionlms.ptc.com/web/apps/learningconnector/creo/1.0/creoconnector/2C867993.....The third machine in the office was on EI10 and it worked. After rolling back to EI10 on the other two machines, the connector openned up in its window and seems to work now. To roll back just go to programs and unistall the update to 11, 10 will then be your new browser. I was not able to find help on this so I will post this incase others are sear
Our group is unfortunately limited by the fact that most of us are using iPads, however one person, (our coach), has a MacBook Air and we don't know how to collaborate through the windchill web meetings, does anyone know how he might host, or we join once he successfully does host?
Is it possible to attend meetings on an iPad using windchill? And if possible, directions are welcome:)
Is it possible to host a meeting of any form(traditional or web-based) on an iPad? If so, how? And what software if any is needed?
Would it be possible to join a meeting in session, with an iPad device?
Is there a certain amount of students or persons allowed to be present within a windchill meeting?

FIRST Team 1671 presented in the PTC booth at World Championship this year and did a great job explaining their drive train design and custom gear boxes. Congratulations to FTC Team 7013, Hot Wired from Portland, OR on their big win in FTC. Hope to see your Creo animation running as a video on the site soon I know there are lots of other PTC sponsored teams noted below, but I don't know you all, yet. I have no problem with 2d but 3d do not show up. I have looked on the internet and some have suggested that I uncheck borders. I have tried everything I can think of. One person said to lower the resolution to 16 bit color, but I can't seem to do that on my system. I run 64 bit windows 8.1.ThanksLarry-
