Trying to install Creo here. When using the wizard it's asking for the location to be installed in. It seems that ANY change on that page (other than unchecking the Quality Agent box) results in disabling of the Install button. For example I don't have room on my C: so am trying to change drives. As soon as I click on the box, the Install button greys out.

I am being told that my license has expired, but I cannot find any way to renew it, get and enter a new code, or anything. Just a completely non-interactive box with the only clickable thing being an "OK" button. All windows automaticaly close themselves. How am I supposed to recover functionality?

When I try to install the Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Student Edition from the disk it gives me an error message that states: This mode requires an internet connection to access PTC.com.

This is our first year teaching CAD (ptc/creo) in the high school. After 3 weeks, in a class of about 22-25, most of the students are starting to get the hang of the drawing tool. My question to all who are reading, what is your opinion on a good, efficient method of Grading the students? Are there any testing materials (mult choice, drawing exhibits) available through the PTC Academic Program? To be honest, I'd like to just give a pass/fail and concentrate on giving the students the time in class to develop their hands-on skill. But unfortunately, we still live in a grade based environment. Any ideas or test/quiz examples greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Hi,I am an absolute begineer, using Mathcad to do a uni assignment.I have a file I have been working on for a few days that I cannot even open as it causes Mathcad to crash, I really need to retreive it or ill have to start again and the assignment is due soon Any ideas as to how to go about it?Cheers

Here's what should be a simple question. When I use the round feature and it gives me a dimension of 10 , what does that mean? Is the ten based on a radius from some center point, or is it a length, or a number of degrees on a circle. There is nothing that tells me. I guess for seasoned engineers this is a no brainer, but for a computer programmer who is now teaching CAD....??Also the same question on creating ARCS. Is there a way to figure out the measurement system at play.Thanks for your patience.

I was wondering the differences because as I'm watching the video presentations on How to Model Almost Anything, it's hard to follow on the screen what they are doing and wondering if they could use the Student Ed for the webinars (if that's what the majority online are using).For instance, I can't get my objects pallete to stay up when I'm sketching.Thanks!

Hey, Im a teacher at a highschool that has installed Creo 2.0 on computers with 2 gigs of RAM and a 32 bit Intel celeron, and pentium (pentium is a 4 cpu at 3.06GHz, and the celero is a 1 cpu at 2.8GHz)What are the reccomended computer requirements to run creo smoothly? Thanks.

While PTC Academic software should run on most Windows 32bit and 64bit systems please refer to the Creo Academic Hardware Requirements pageand the following commercial support pages for more information on hardware requirements.

The anwser is Yes and No. Currently PTC Academic software is supported only on Windows machines. However some users have found success running Creo on Mac systems in the following 2 scenarios.Using virtual machine software such as Parallels to run WindowsRunning Windows software in dual-boot mode on Mac systems with Intel-based hardwarePTC cannot make any recommendations on hardware or software for users attempting to run Creo in these environments.

I downloaded the 4.2 GB creo 2.0 student edition file from the website. I installed as per the instructions. Things worked properly. But I coz of some problem in my laptop, I had to format it. I need to suppress items so I can get to things underneath them (because hide doesn't seem to do anything at all). However, while there is a simple right click menu item for suppression, I cannot find any way to unsuppress items. I can't right click on the item as it no longer exist in the side bar, and there doesn't seem to be any menu item anywhere for dealing with suppression. How do I get my stuff back?

Hi guys,Just signed up as I'm having no luck scouring the internet for anything on this issue.We've been using ProD for a number of years with no issues but recently having moved the Design department to new PCs they are experiencing graphical glitches when trying to draw simple shapesI've attached a screenshot of the issue and if anyone has any ideas as to how to solve then I'd be glad to hear them!I've tried the usual update graphics drivers/Windows updates but am a bit stuck.Thanks,Phil

​What an afternoon at the PTC Campus this past Saturday. The FIRST Tech Challenge Massachusetts Kickoff was hosted by PTC, with over 200 people in attendance. We had Mr. David Price from FIRST as our official emcee and opener (no one ignites a room like Mr. Price), followed by great presentations from John Stuart, PTC SVP of Global Academic Programs, Lisa Freed, iRobot STEM Outreach Coordinator and Don Bossi, President of FIRST. The PTC cafeteria was filled front to back with more people than I have ever seen in that room, kids, parents, teachers, mentors and pizza. Let’s not forget the pizza. Boxes and boxes of pizza!Following the 30 minute presentation, folks were able to attend two workshops of their choice on the following topics. The Customer Visit Center was at capacity with students and mentors just spilling out of all the rooms as they were able to meet PTC experts and learn about topics and solutions that can help them succeed in their FIRST challenges.
