I was wondering the differences because as I'm watching the video presentations on How to Model Almost Anything, it's hard to follow on the screen what they are doing and wondering if they could use the Student Ed for the webinars (if that's what the majority online are using).For instance, I can't get my objects pallete to stay up when I'm sketching.Thanks!

Hey, Im a teacher at a highschool that has installed Creo 2.0 on computers with 2 gigs of RAM and a 32 bit Intel celeron, and pentium (pentium is a 4 cpu at 3.06GHz, and the celero is a 1 cpu at 2.8GHz)What are the reccomended computer requirements to run creo smoothly? Thanks.

While PTC Academic software should run on most Windows 32bit and 64bit systems please refer to the Creo Academic Hardware Requirements pageand the following commercial support pages for more information on hardware requirements.

The anwser is Yes and No. Currently PTC Academic software is supported only on Windows machines. However some users have found success running Creo on Mac systems in the following 2 scenarios.Using virtual machine software such as Parallels to run WindowsRunning Windows software in dual-boot mode on Mac systems with Intel-based hardwarePTC cannot make any recommendations on hardware or software for users attempting to run Creo in these environments.

What kind of license does my software require?All PTC Academic software uses FlexNet licensing and requires either a locked license file or access to a license server. I downloaded the 4.2 GB creo 2.0 student edition file from the website. I installed as per the instructions. Things worked properly. But I coz of some problem in my laptop, I had to format it. I need to suppress items so I can get to things underneath them (because hide doesn't seem to do anything at all). However, while there is a simple right click menu item for suppression, I cannot find any way to unsuppress items. I can't right click on the item as it no longer exist in the side bar, and there doesn't seem to be any menu item anywhere for dealing with suppression. How do I get my stuff back?

Hey, since as a student you can get Creo 1.0, 2.0 and the Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Schools Edition, I'd like to know what the differences are between Creo 2.0 and the Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Schools Edition.Thanks!

Hi guys,Just signed up as I'm having no luck scouring the internet for anything on this issue.We've been using ProD for a number of years with no issues but recently having moved the Design department to new PCs they are experiencing graphical glitches when trying to draw simple shapesI've attached a screenshot of the issue and if anyone has any ideas as to how to solve then I'd be glad to hear them!I've tried the usual update graphics drivers/Windows updates but am a bit stuck.Thanks,Phil

I've had a look at similar problem discussions on here however their solutions didn't work and was wondering if anyone could please help

​What an afternoon at the PTC Campus this past Saturday. The FIRST Tech Challenge Massachusetts Kickoff was hosted by PTC, with over 200 people in attendance. We had Mr. David Price from FIRST as our official emcee and opener (no one ignites a room like Mr. Price), followed by great presentations from John Stuart, PTC SVP of Global Academic Programs, Lisa Freed, iRobot STEM Outreach Coordinator and Don Bossi, President of FIRST. The PTC cafeteria was filled front to back with more people than I have ever seen in that room, kids, parents, teachers, mentors and pizza. Let’s not forget the pizza. Boxes and boxes of pizza!Following the 30 minute presentation, folks were able to attend two workshops of their choice on the following topics. The Customer Visit Center was at capacity with students and mentors just spilling out of all the rooms as they were able to meet PTC experts and learn about topics and solutions that can help them succeed in their FIRST challenges. We finished an exciting episode of PTC's ROBOTALK this Wednesday evening where we discussed how to assemble a robot from the kit of parts. The session began as usual with a video that introduced the concepts of the software kit of parts, assembly using these part files, analyzing the model for mass properties and simulation. Here is the introductory video: Video Link : 3446 After the video, we went through each of the concepts introduced in the video and emphasized important aspects and techniques. Mark Fischer led the discussion and demonstrated how to convert static constraints into kinematic constraints and vice-versa. Mark also showed how to calculate mass properties and how to create the center of gravity as a feature in an assembly. He finished by showing an analysis of a robot rolling down a ramp and tipping because the center of gravity was to far forward. Each of these segments will be posted as videos in the next few weeks.

We concluded the first ROBOTALK session on Creo Parametric last night just in time for the presidential debates. There were a host of attendees that joined us and stayed right to the end. In fact some of the teams asked if we could continue ROBOTALK so they wouldn't have to go watch the debates. Mark Fischer gave those teams some homework and told them to go to the following site and download the Creo Parametric Primer and then complete it during the debates. Hi everyone,I have a Problem by 3d plotting a function.Unfortunally I don't know what the problem is about, I have 3 unit types.W / m²mdegZ-Axis should be W / m²x axis my axis degCould please anybody check my mathcad file and correct the error, or tell me what to do?In the second step I need to insert a constant surface into the plot, with the value of 100 W / m².I want to compare the curve from E.IR with the constant surface.
