During this webinar, PTC will be covering the process for which a team would solve the challenge using a baseline design. We will be looking at the different phases; including concept, preliminary and detailed design. The intent is to help educate teams on what they should be doing for the challenge. (view in My Videos)

Many of you will remember www.prodestop.net, a very popular forum for everything Pro|DESKTOP. Traffic on the site has dropped off significantly so PTC has taken the decision to stop funding the site to release funds to invest in Pro|ENGINEER related activities. If you are reading this you will know about the PTC forums called Planet PTC. We encourage all teachers using Pro|ENGINEER to use this site to showcase their work and the work of pupild. Take a look at Pro|ENGINEER strand in the fourms, posts and replies from professional engineers can be very informative.

I have recently downloaded Creo 2 student edition but the creo parametric does not display anything on the viewer when i start a new fil i.e datum planes or spin center even though they are selected in the toolbar. Helloi am a manufacturing engineering student at the university of Nottingham and i am investigating the generation of generating lattice structures (to be later additively manufactured) using CAD (which is Pro-E Wildfire 4.0 in our university) but i couldn't find any tutorials or videos or articles that relates or help.I kindly ask you to provide me with any helpful information in this area please.Thank you
I installed ProE 5 Student Edition from my school back in August. From what I remember, it worked fine then. I recently tried to use it for a class but it would not open at all. There was no error message or splash screen. When I open it on my desktop, it will show the mouse as "busy" and then open, but on my laptop, I click the icon (or the start menu, or even the exe in the program files) and it flickers to busy but immediately stops.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times. I've copied over the files from my desktop with no results. I've cleaned out the temp folders and fixed my registry with CCleaner (nothing ptc or proe related though). I've tried updating my video drivers and even adding that line to disable them in config.pro. Nothing has worked. It doesn't even start up in safe mode either. What is wrong and how can I fix it. All and any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks,Ross
Hi I'd like to upgarde from Creo 2.0 M010 to release M020 - ho do I go about doing this?In anticipationThanksPaul Spencer

The Game Ring It Up! is played on a 12’x12’ diamond shaped field. Two alliances comprised of two teams each, compete in matches consisting of a 30 second autonomous period followed by a two-minute driver controlled period. The object of the game is to score more points than your opponent’s alliance by placing plastic rings onto pegs on the center rack. Teams will also be challenged to detect special “weighted” rings to earn a special multiplier bonus. (view in My Videos)

Does anyone use RWDC as curriculum for a stand alone high school course? I am exploring the idea of using this competition as a STEM course for students interested in engineering, CAD and the design process.

I finally have processed the video recording from the ROBOTALK on October 24 into several parts. Here is the first part about simulating using PTC's Creo Parametric. Video Link : 3508 The topic of creating simulations of the real world, particulalry with respect to your robot is one of the main advantages to building a complete model of your robot in Creo. There are many different kinds of simulations that you can do and this is the first part of the ROBOTALK session that discussed this important topic.

Hi folks,I'm looking for recommendations for managing installations of Creo 2 at a school site. Typically, machines are refreshed with a standard image and PC's are updated on an as-needed basis. What is the simplest way of managing a site install of Creo 2 with images like this? Two scenarios I can think of:1. Site license for schools edition on a local server -Create an installation pointing to a server with fully qualified name2. Installation tied to MAC address -I don't know how one could effectively push this out in an automated wayThanks,Josh
THe last part of the ROBOTALK session on simulation is now available. Please take a look at all four of the videos. This is a very nice overview of the simulation capabilities available in PTC's Creo Parametric. Video Link : 3516
