I am working with Creo 7 for a course at school.  I bought the Creo Parametric 7.0 Tutorial book and downloaded the software, and the exercise files that go with it, though when I go to open the exercise files I get an error saying the file was created with a commercial verson and is not compatible with Creo student. How do I resolve this. 

I had previously downloaded the free version on the PTC Creo Parametric software, student edition version 6. I had also created a few of the drawings and parts using the software. Due to some personal work, I couldn't open those documents for more than 3 months. Once I tried to open now, a pop up banner read, new version available and I'll have to mandatorily download the new version. I did the same and I'm unable to open the files I created using the version 6 software from the version 7 software. I need to edit a few things in the file and I'm unable to open any of those files. Please Help.

I am a user of Creo Parametric 7.0 student edition. A collaborator has shared some files that were built in a commercial version. Creo parametric 7.0 does not allow me to open these files. Is there any way in which I could work with the file? Thank you.

I'm trying to download, install, and use the student version of creo parametric. I successfully downloaded it 3 times now but each time had an error "0x06000012" when trying to run the software each time. I deleted everything again to try and resintall but now I'm getting a license issue. I'm trying to use Creo 7.0.2.0, with the license code BK700908EDSTUDENTEDUNI and when I hit install licensing it says "Error!"

Hi  I have 34 Pcs in IT suites can i install Creo 7 licences of BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12 on all individually PCs ? or do i have to have special licences.  Please help..    Thank you . From Bhav 

Hello, I have an issue starting Creo Parametrics, version 7.0. Every time I try to open the programme, it appears this message: " Creo agent did not initialize correctly. Please contact Technical Support if the issue persists". Can anyone help me how to solve this problem?

Hello, I'm trying to install the creo 6.0.2.0 but always getting the problem in install licensing. It showing invalid file or format instead of available. Tell me what i have to do now  I attached a picture of that where I'm getting problem plz help me to solve this issue.

After I input the licence key it shows "success" and also says "invalid file or format". I have attached ip.txt.

Hello,    I tried to install Creo 5 Student edition and I get a invalid file or format error.    Attached is the output of ipconfig because I saw that some people have the same problem.   Thanks for your feedback, Leon

HI! There is an error when i try to install any version of CREO for students, the problem says "invalid file or format licence". I understand that it maybe be the license server. How can i solve this problem? Thanks, greetings from Argentina!

Hi!So I'm trying to install Creo 8.0 as a student,, The given product code was accepted and I got the "success!" result. However, I can't finish the installation since the "license server" is not available! Also the file sent by Email was not accepted. What should I do here?? Thanks in advance!  

Hello, I can't renew my student license for creo 6.0. I am getting two errors - first    Now I tried following a different support thread and deleted my license.dat files and tried running setup.exe in license mode and now I am seeing this error -  Any suggestions for how to get my licensing straightened out?

Hey,    I looked at the troubleshoot for this error but I do not have the email to save the license file with the ".txt" extension. Hello,I was using PTC Creo 6.x last for the last year and a half at uni but today when I tried to do some work, the licence had expired. I tried to renew it but the process failed. So I uninstalled Creo 6.x and deleted the C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory. I then downloaded the PTC Creo 8.0 zip file and went about installing the new version. I am following the instructions in the Quick Installation Guide.When I get to the point where I enter the supplied product code under Node Locked Licence Generation and select Install Licensing, the installation program gets stuck at Processing... indefinitely.I have tried backing out of the installation process, rebooting my PC and trying again but get the same result.   Is anyone able to assist?   Regards, Keir

Hi All, Have just installed Creo 8.0, but when I load up the render window, it comes up as a small square in the centre of the screen. Creo 7.0 works fine and no issues. 

Hi everyone,  I've recently downloaded the Educational edition of Creo 7.0 in order to attend mechanical design classes in my collage. During the installation I had the Ansys Simulation product available so I checked the box and installed it as the rest of the apps and extensions.  The thing is that today I wanted to use the Ansys extension and an error message appeared telling me that the license can't be obtained and that I should contact with a commercial agent.  Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is this because the Ansys Simulation extension is not available for the Educational license?  All aswers will be welcomed. Thank you in advance.  Arnau
