Hello,   i cant find any license for either Creo 3 Creo 4 or creo 5. There is always a "404 - Page Not Found​"" error. How to get them? I did already download it from the university.   Greets

I launch creo 5.0 Parametric and I get these two messages, then it quits out what should I do?

I think other people have found this out too. When I try to install Creo 5.0 Educational Edition it gives an error at the license step. Any idea when this will be fixed? I'm going to stick with 4.0 for now...

Hi,I need to know how to mirror the dimension value. While selecting text style and mark the tick button on mirror and apply it. But, it not reflect in the application and automatically untick the mirror button.May I know how to use mirror button for dimenaions

I have installed Creo 4.0 and have started the first chapter of the Creo 5 book. I am able to open all part files except for the creo_base part file. it gives the following error CREO_BASE' cannot be retrieved. I have also found another issue saying that there are 19 errors in another file, see attached screen shot.

Hello all, Yesterday I have downloaded Creo 5.0 student version and the installation worked fine.   But after opening the application it is showing that the license is not valid for this version. What should I do?

Hello guys, does anyone know if there is a layer tree rule to capture cosmetic sketches? The closest I get is via "look for: cosmetic feature", "look by: cosmetic feature", and then by "type: cosmetic", which captures all cosmetic features, including e. g. threads (cf. attachment). This is not exactly what I need though since I'd like to have a layer with only cosmetic sketches on it. Can this be done or is there no better way than the one I found?   Greetings

I've to install ptc creo for university. I've already used it on my pc but then when i had to reset it for other problems (not regarding PTC) i've tried to put back PTC  but it gives me a problem with the license. The setup says 'error' when i enter BE500806EDSTUDENTEDK12  as the license key and my personal email (it's not a problem of email/password because they are the same of this forum). I've tried to put manually the license i've got from the previous installation by email but it says ' File or format not valid'.   What can i do?    (The text in the photo is italian)

Hello,   After saving the configuration made in Academic Simulator in a json, using the option to save the configuration made previously, I tried to recover this configuration, but Academic Simulator does not finish the process, it remains in the "Loading things ..." screen for forever.    Is there any known bug with the Academic simulation around the configuration saved in json format?   Thanks,   Olatz

I have attached images below.   I'm trying to model a track for a garage door and the track is 1 inch away at the base of the door, and the track is at an angle of 1 degree. When I create the 1deg angle offset, it no longer allows me to create a distance constraint because it forces me to select two faces to do a distance mate. When I try to do that, it then over constrains my assembly because the distance mate wants the two faces to be perpendicular. All I need to be able to do is select the edge of the track as well as the face of the wood.   Does anyone have any suggestions to be able to mate this the way I am trying to?

I'm trying to do a revolve cut and for some reason the cut button is grayed out. What am I doing wrong?

I think my main question is why does Creo 5.0 not let me use angle offset in combination with a distance mate? I want to have an angle between two faces, as well as use an edge to fix the part in a distance from the base of the assembly. But I cannot select the edge to do a distance mate, it makes me select the whole face. And when I select the face it says the constraint is invalid because the distance constraint makes it parallel which takes away the angle constraint I applied. How do I select the edge in assembly mode? I have searched all over the internet for the answer and cannot. Apparently in Creo 3.0 assembly mode you could select an edge in a dropdown window when you are placing the part but Creo Parametric 5.0 does not have that.   I am very experienced with Solidworks and have only about a month into Creo. Creo is very un-intuitive to use and doesn't flow quite as well as Solidworks. Also there's not much documentation on Creo which isn't helpful at all either.

Hi I am currently having an issue with Creo, where everytime when i start typing a word, two letters (of the first letter) appear (for example: ffilename.prt)  It happens everytime - typing dimension, name of file, parameters etc. Iam running Creo 2.0 on Windows 10, even instaled two diferent versions. The only thing i have found is this https://www.reddit.com/r/cad/comments/9pa8dc/ptc_proe_double_typing_issue/  , but I am not using any Magnification app. Its so painfull to keep in mind that you have to delete the first letter everytime. I would be so grateful for any help. Tomas Burket

When I try to install Student Edition license is for Creo 4 despite I download Creo 5?

Hello everyone,    I tried everything and search google as well, but I couldn´t find a solution. In short, setup.exe doesn´t respond (I tried all 3 setup.exe files, noone of them worked. Could you help me?   What I did is below:    1-) downloaded the program (MED-100WIN-CD-420_5-0-0-0_Win64.zip - 4.01 GB) 2-) deactivated the virus program 3-) extracted it with 7zip 4-) runned setup.exe as administrator (there were 3 setup.exe, I tried the other two as well, none of them worked) 5) tried it with compatibility settings as as well. P.S: I also reinstalled Windows update for C Runtime.

Hi, im working on my Bachelor assignment and have done a 3D scan of a part. This part has an existing CAD part file in creo. I am going to compare my pointcloud with this prt file. Is there a way to do this in Creo parametric 5.0? Some way to use the pointcloud as an "overlay" to the original part file, to see the deviation between them? I need an accurate comparing between them, and was asked spesificly to use Creo as software. Thanks in advance for any help I can get!

I`m designing the peristaltic pump for my project. I want to know how much normal force would be exerted on the roller when the roller squeezes the tube.   To find the force value, i tried simulation and selected the surface of the tube, then Creo just select the all the surfaces of the tube. Could you tell me how to select the half of the cylinder or sphere surface?

In 2012 I bought Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0 Student Edition. It is purchase version with unlimited license. I didn't get a customer number or a service contract number to use the eSupport services. For this reason I can only use the support package "basic".   Because the computer, where I installed the program first time, doesn't work anymore, I want to use the program on a new computer. I installed the program at the new computer again. During the installation process I couldn't request a new license file because one was already taken. I tried it with the old license file but I think it is normal that it not works.   My question: What possibility is there to get a new license file (or exchange) or is there another way for further using the program?   Thank you for your help.   Günter.

I want to learn how to use Trail files and have been wasting hours trying to find out how.  I also would like some stable trail files that I can use to demo them in classes.  I have search in Creo help, in the PTC Community, online on various sites.  I've played around with it.  Nothing seems to work the way I expect it too.   Please someone save me from wasting more time on this.    I tried doing the "Play Trail File" and it doesn't work.  The trail file always exits the software.   - How to edit trail files? - How to play trail files? - How to ensure that the trail file stops before exiting the Creo Parametric so I show what the file did? etc.   Nothing is ever easy with PTC and Creo.  Ever.
