Hello, 1. In order for the students to be able to complete this project they have to have 'Import from file' rights. I made an 'AndroidDeviceMashup' as an administrator. Is there any possibility to make this 'object' visible to students so that they can make a copy and modify it for their one purposes without giving them supplementary rights for design (for importing)? 2. Apparently there is a little mistake in the 'code' in the sense that the total amount of memory is displayed on the CPU usage instrument. Could you provide some simple guidance to correct this (for beginners)? 3. I cannot see the geographical coordinates on my phone application. it's an old phone, with Android 4.1, but GPS is active. Thank you very much. Corneliu------------

I posted some replies to an older thread but I wanted to start a new thread just to call attention to this problem. I used the PTC University foundations course to complete Project 1 -- a simulated Mars Rover. I used the export feature in the version deployed to: ptcu-thingworx83-fundamentals.portal.ptc.io and my rover thing, my simple mashup and even my app key were imported to the local copy of the Foundation server that I deployed to Windows Server 2012R2. I had to create a new app key since the server is different -- at least I think that was necessary. From the browser I can interact with the local mashup successfully. When I try the academic edge connector (either the true Windows exe version or the Java version), I can not connect. I have the right port, using the correct thing name, and app key in the configuration panel but I see an error: [CONFIG]: -> Error malformed URL, check "Server URL" and "Thing Name" Fiel
The error 0x06000012 pops up when I open any creo Simulate, Parameter, Modelcheck, or direct. My license is valid and my windows home is up to date. Does anybody know why this error pops up and what's a possible solution?
please could you help me solve this problem
Do I need Windows 10 professional for Creo? or is Windows 10 Home adequate?
Hello, So I'm trying to download PTC Creo 4.0 on my personal computer so I can work on homework at home. I had PTC Creo 3.0 on the same device a year ago for a different class but now when I try to download Creo 4.0 it keeps saying my license is expired. Every time I try to renew my license the system does not recognize my username and password. How can I get a license that isn't expired?
Hello guys, friday evening Creo crashed while saving and damaged the asm file it was supposed to save. To overcome the problem, i deleted the damaged version and used the last properly saved version instead. To my surprise, the old version seems to be almost identical to the new one (the latest versions of the used parts seem to be included). So does it make any difference if i work with the old version? The asm itself has not been changed since then, only some parts have been modified which should be no problem as Creo always loads the latest versions. Or might I face troubles down the road? Greetings
How can we find the surface area of a given figure in contact to another given figure?
Hi, I've bought Creo 4.0 and when I go to install ... my options are all 5.0.3.0 or something and it all seems to be Creo version 5 programs. When I go to open the program, it says it's failed to obtain a license. I'm a bit upset and not sure what to do here. Why won't it install Creo version 4 programs? What can I do about this? I've just deleted everything including old licenses from past student versions and am trying again but it's still creo 5.0.3.0.
Today I installed Creo 3.0 on my PC. I followed the instructions as seen on http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo2_student_uni.pdfWhen opening Creo, I get a License error: I opened the license file on C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing and saw, that this license was for Creo 2.0 ?!?!The license file was created automatically during the installation process, and there was a success message.
I keep getting this message when I try to use Creo Parametric 5.0 on my Laptop
Im a Student, and have downloaded the creo 4.0 student edition. Im trying to import a autocad file to creo. I have autocad 2018 installed. But i cant find the " file system" option that everyone uses. Anyone encountered this problem?
Hi Team, I want to register for Thingworx associate consultant certification exam. Kindly guide me for registering this exam. Thanks, Madavan.
Is it possible to get the FIRST official CAD models for the 2019 FRC game Destination Deep Space in Creo assemblies? They're currently only available in SolidWorks assembly files, and opening them in Parametric is expecting a specific license which doesn't seem to be included with the Student version: "License for ATB SolidWorks (Collaboration_Ext_SolidWorks) is not available. ATB operations are going to be ignored." Models are available on FIRST's site here and the top level field drawing is FE-00042
Hello, folks. Did Simulate come with the free student version of Creo 5.0? When I try to run Simulations it says I did not have the product license and to contact the company. This occurs both in the Creo Parametric and the Creo Simulate softwares.
I thought that the Parametric 3.0 Student edition came with Simulate. When I try to use simulate, it says that I do not have a proper license. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I have used CREO 3.0 in the past for a university course and was supplied a student license. It has since expired and I am taking another course where the instructor wants the students to use CREO 5.0. I deleted all the old 3.0 files and installed 5.0. However, whenever I update the new student license supplied to the class in the setup, it says success but the Parametric program will not respond in kind. Also, whenever I try to renew my license from the Parametric startup, I enter my username and password and it says customer not verified. Any help?

Hello, We are experiencing issues with licensing Creo and Mathcad Using product codes. We are working on resolving the issue, it seems that no external connection to licensing server is permitted. I will get back with a new post when this will be resolved. We apologies for the inconvenience! Thanks, Alex

Hi Everybody,I'm looking for a contact with an expert in PTC Creo. But for now, I haven't had any contact. I would like to know what is the difference between Creo Parametric and Creo Direct?Optionally, I would like to understand which softwares would be for me. I have a boat design idea and I would like to skech it, develop it in 3D and simulate it. (at least some parts)The material would be composite fiber. What should I buy?In advance thank youBest regards,Remi
Hi, I've been trying to contact someone from my uni about this but have been unsuccessful. Basically a few months ago my Creo 3.0 M020 was working fine but now this is happening. I wasn't aware of an expiration. I've used previously m040 and installed m020 for mechanical engineering from my university about 2 years ago. I currently have both on my PC, as well as the original student license, but nothing is working. I'm not sure if I should delete everything and attempt a reinstall, partly because I don't know where I'd download it again to begin with. Is there an actual expiration on what my university would have given me? That might be a silly question but I'll ask it anyway. I'm still enrolled and about to graduate, so I'd really like to use it as I've been asked to produce some things for work experience. If anyone could help me out here it'd be much appreciated, thank you.
Hi, I've downloaded Creo 4.0 as I'm currently studying at university and this program is made available to us for free. I installed it as prompted, used the license key which I was given and everything installed as it should. I disabled my antivirus during installation as prompted to. After the installation, I cannot seem to get any of the applications to open - the one which I need to use is Parametric 4.0 M030. I double click on the application and I get a loading symbol for about half a second and then nothing happens; I've tried the other applications which were also installed (Layout, Simulate, Direct and also the Modelcheck). The modelcheck is the only thing which seems to actually do anything but all that does is open a command prompt window for about a quarter of a second. I am running Windows 10 on a high spec gaming computer so it is very able to run these programs. Someone help please! Thanks in advance.
