hi everyone, I'm trying to add family table in assembly. It's a series of cylinder-style assemblies. when I add TRANSLATION1_MAXIMUM_LIMIT:CONN_4 as new column, and input values with "Open in Excel", and save, the values are not showing under the TRANSLATION column i created. Instead it shows only *. Even when i just modify family table other columns like COMMON NAME with "Open in Excel", without touching TRANSLATION column, the values under TRANSLATION column will disappear. is there anyway to avoid this? I really don't want to retype hundreds of value again and again.....
Hello, I am looking for the solution to my problem: How can we use a single part in an assembly with various dimensions, I wanted this to change the length of the Bosch Aluminum Profiles without making different part file of variable length in an assembly model. Regards Yash Yadav
Hello, I am trying to open Creo Parametric 4.0 for students and even though I followed the directions in the PDF provided by PTC on how to install it, it does not work. I copy and pasted the correct license for students and it still gives me the same error message. Please help. Homework is due on Saturday and I can't do anything without it. Error message attached below.
The most recent version of PTC Creo is available for FIRST teams. You can download it from our FIRST resources website: https://www.ptc.com/en/academic-program/k-12-program/students/first/software PTC recommends any team still using Creo 3.0 upgrade for the 2018 season. The newer version works better with Windows 10 and is required in order to use the KOP and field models available on our resource page. -Brian

Hi, I have just been able to install Creo 4.0 (Student Version), thanks for the guidance. I now have two questions: (1) The software (Creo 4.0) has various components, like Mathcad, GD&T, etc., how can I learn the full usage of the complete software, Creo 4.0? Do I have to buy separate textbooks to help me learn to use the software effectively, or the software developer, PTC itself provides training materials and resources for students, or I should rely on both textbooks and training materials? If I have to buy textbooks, what are the title of the best textbooks. If I have to get training material or links from the company, PTC, how do I get the links? (2) There are different separate software like Creo Direct, Creo Layout, Creo Simulate, PTC Mathcad, etc. When I check, it seems all these software are also contained or embedded in ‘Creo 4.0 software’. And when you have Creo 4.0, you do not need to install other separate software like Mathcad, Cr
Heyho PTC community, I'm writing this post as a last resort as I'm heavily struggling with getting the student version of Creo installed. Whether it be 3.0 or 4.0, I'm always running into the same issue. I sadly am unable to give you exact error messages in English as my copy of Windows is locked to German, literal translations will have to suffice I suppose. My issue: No matter what I try, upon entering the license key, the installer stalls for a good 20 seconds, gives me a green "Success!" message, lists the license entry in the field below with status "Invalid file or invalid format", the "Next>>" option stays greyed out. Things I tried to resolve the issue: -Installers of Creo 3.0 and 4.0, 64-bit -Unzipped through Windows Explorer as well as 7-Zip -AV and Firewall entirely disabled at all times -Tried internet connections via both Wifi and Ethernet -Always ran .exe as administrator -Used license keys from the corresponding PTC documents&nbs

Hello,I've installed creo 3.0 using a student licence. When I start Creo, a warning message (screenshot attached below) prevents the progam from running. Licence does not support this version. Is there an older version available for student download? Thanks in advance.
I have a student who is adding decals to his part. It's a simple square block with a chessboard image. Everything works fine. He saves the part. Then when he opens the part again, the decal has disappeared. He can then go to render it again, but why is the decal not saving to the part? Btw, he is using the same network license server as others in the class. They are not having this problem.Seems very strange. Thanks for any help.-Brett Penza,Holy Name Central Catholic High School.
The rest of the programs work but Creo Parametric refused to work. It says "Liscence request failed for feature" and it would be really helpful if somone could provide a solution. I tried working with a support person but it didn't work so I thoguht somone may be able to provide a solution.
Hi, I am trying to generate an output as a random number using Postman and I want to PUT this output value onto thing as a thing property value butAs in the official Mars Rover example used in the academic course, to change the 'WindSpeed' property using postman, the following syntax was used:{"WindSpeed" : "88"}But now I want to pass on the value of the "WindSpeed" in an automated manner (something like using the random value function) so that I don't have to manually change it every time,Unfortunately, I am not able to do so as I have trying ways available online including setting global variables etc. etc. but it is always giving an error of 'BAD STRING' or that the JSON content does not have 'ValidProperties' etc. I think that maybe my syntax is wrong. Could someone please guide me as to how we can generate random values in postman(syntax etc.) and PUT it onto the thing so that it updates itself. Thanks!
We are currently running the old version 2 of CREO Academic and just recently we are receiving the error, License request failed for feature Could someone advise how we resolve the licensing request.
Salve, Quando vado a modificare le opzioni di sistema, come la directory di lavoro e il colore del sistema, le salvo ma ogni volta che riapro Creo le devo reimpostare, come si fa a far diventare il configpro che faccio io come quello predefinito?
Do you enter competitions like Gravity Racing, Human Powered Vehicles or Greeenpower? PTC Creo Framework extension is perfect for modelling the chassis. Here is how it works.Create a skeleton part with datum points. lines and curves where you want tubing and datum planes for section orientation .Add the part to an assembly. In the assembly, use the Framework tab to select a material section and size.Use the Framework tools to add tubing along curves and lines and between datum points. each pipe is added as a new part in the model tree.Use the Framework tools to specify joints between tubes.Create a drawing of the assembly and add a table for total length of each section used plus a table for the length of tubing for individual tubes.Open each part and use sheet metal tools to split and flatten the tube to print a paper template for cutting the joint profiles.A zip file is attached containing instructions and the files/Youtube link showing how to create a car chassis.Do you have a K
I am not able to open Creo Parametric 3.0. I have donwloaded on two computers and I have the same error message on both. I have attatched a file with the screen shot errors. One says license request failed for feature and the other says Creo Parametric was not closed properly and is unable to recover any unsaved data from the last session.
Keep getting promo stuff about Creo4. Will there be an academic version? Anyone tried the demo?
Both desktop and laptop failed within a month of each other so after a hard drive wipe, I reinstalled all my software. However, I installed PTC Creo 'before' I installed Outlook (so at the time of reinstallation, I didn't have access to the licence file but now I do). I thought I could add the licence file after installation but when I run PTC Creo 3.0, I get a pop-up titled "PTC Creo View Startup". I selection the edition (Creo View Standard) and for MCAD Licence Options I select "Load when required" for both interference analysis and animator. It asks for "Licence Information" (i.e. licence server) and Pre-configured Licence Servers... ...but it does allow me to drag/drop the licence file. Can anyone help? I reviewed the 3 pages of problems that others experienced, including going to C: > Program Files > PTC > Creo 3.0 > M040 > Options Modeler > bin > "reconfigure" but that doesn't work.
I downloaded Creo 3.0 on to my desktop. The first time i accidentally clicked skip licensing so obviously the program wouldnt work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program 3 times and it keeps giving me a licensing error. I downloaded the same program on to my older laptop (got the licensing right, using same account) and it works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks
