Hello, I am using Arbortext editor and styler for creating content and making changes in the stylesheet. Now, there is a requirement to create a new xml tag that can be used by the arbortext editor users.What is the tool or process used to create a new xml tag. For example: there is an existing tag call <table> now i need to give summary details to the table hence i need to create a ><tsummary> tag to using inside the table tag. What tool can I use to create new tag    

I currently have an English manual that requires a Spanish translation. I exported all new and changed topics in a translation pack and sent it to our translation company. When importing the translation pack back into Windchill, the translated topics showed in Windchill, but not in the Spanish windchill map or the Spanish Arbortext map. The topic in the equivalent Spanish manual in Windchill still has the previous Spanish topic and when I open it in Arbortext the topic is the new English topic.I assume the link between the new English topic and the translated topic is broken. How do I fix this and how do I prevent this from re-occuring? Why is the map in winchill not updating the topics to the new ones? Examples below: English map in Windchill... e.g. the WHEELS topic:This topic is in the translation pack that I imported back into Windchill: When I checked, this topic is visible in Windchill in our topics folder:If I open the equivalent Spanish (es) manual in Windchill,

Hi,I'm trying to figure out the availability of Arbortext Layout Editor. I filled many times the form but can't seem to get a hold of any salespeople from PTC, I fill out a form and never hear from them. Hi allI am looking for a way to customise the default CALS table rule display behaviour of Arbortext Editor v8 "Editor view". The standard/menu driven way to achive diferent rules in a table display is to modify the relevant table attributes. For example, these 2 attribute changes would give what is required: <table frame=”topbot”><thead><row rowsep=”1”> //first row in theadBut because of post processing systems and outsource providers we want to have these rules displayed for the authors, but with no attributes or any other markup changes, so change the fixed defaults of the built in Editor view. I have looked into DCF edits, stylesheet properties, preferences, FOSI edits without finding any documention/path. Does anyone know how best to achive this or which source files contain the relevant code to hack!?Many thanksChris    

When publishing using the default PTC techinfo stylesheet the titles are above the image. How would I change it show up below the image? In styler there does not seem to anything that defines in what order it should show up. Bryon

Is it possible to run Arbortext Editor 7.0 and Editor 8.2 on the same machine? They require two different versions of Java. Thanks for any help!     

Hi, I'm using the 40051C 6.0 military standard architecture. I'm trying to produce PDF output that includes continuation headings for tables that go from one page to the next.  It's not working so I looked in the table-v6_0.xsl config file and found some code looks related to this output but is commented out. <!-- <fo:marker marker-class-name="tabletitle"/>--><!--<fo:marker marker-class-name="tabletitle"><xsl:value-of select="title"/> - (CONTINUED)</fo:marker>--> <!-- Doesn't go here. Hi,now we are using IsoDraw 7.3 M112 on Windows 10 together with a quite old ITEDO-PlugIn from year 2005. We know, PTC doesn't "officially" support that PlugIns anymore. But until now this PlugIn was still working fine.  Now I'm testing 7.3 M112 together with Windows 11. - And we get an error message that this version of the PlugIn isn't supported and therefore can't loaded.I’m aware that IsoDraw 7.4 as 64-bit version will not support the old 32-bit PlugIn. But I’m wondering now that IsoDraw 7.3 on Windows 11 already doesn’t support PlugIns.Is IsoDraw 7.3 on Windows 11 generally not supporting the “old” plugins anymore? Or do we have an individual problem with our specific PlugIn on Windows 11?Thanks,Helmut

Has anyone found a method to convert Microsoft Word to Arbortext? The Import/Export tool use to provide this service but it's no longer available. I realize drag and drop works but it's not time efficient when converting a 200 page document! Thank you for any suggestions.

Dear All:I just installed the ISOView 7 on my window 7 workstation, not problem encountered.But I reallies that I need to disable the protection mode (which by default enabled) in order to view the cgm file in IE with ISOview. Does is possible to view the CGM file with isoview 7 without change the default setting?Thank you.chusoon

when using Arbortext 8.2.0.1 from Arbortext 7.2 and now see my topicref titles are appearing as zeros in my bookmaps. This occurs in Column View only.  I ran the "Update Stylesheet for Editor", but no change.  can you help me

PTC Arbortext publisher printing the graphics as a raster but we need all graphics in vector.Please help to update the settings so that I can print graphic as a vector file.

Can I create a link on my custom toolbar to a pdf or a different program? So the user can click on it in and it will open the other program or link? Bryon

We have thousands of references, mostly from PubMed. Currently, each reference is tagged in DITA in a chapter. Many references are re-used in other chapters. For our French content, we copy all the references from the chapter into the French related chapter document. The DITA chapters are managed in Windchill Arbortext Content Manager (ACM). Any suggestions on how we can make better use of ACM to manage references? How do you manage your references?
