Hello experts!I've been working with window_create and xui, my goal is to develop a new window where users can manipulate xml documents on Arbortext, however I've faced a difficult. I was wondering if there's a way in which I could identify the window which was created and when the user try to create a new window, Arbortext could block the creation. Currently I'm creating the window since a customized menu on my toolbar, but every time user calls at this command a new window is created, I don't know how can I manage this stuff. All that I need is to have control over the creation of my window and identify if one has been created so user can not create another one. Hi Adepters 😃I've been working with ACL, java and javascript in order to customize my Arbortext environment, however in the meantime I've found a big problem, and I'm still don't get to solve it. Inside my custom folder, specifically inside my init folder I've created an acl file, in which I define a menu_add command (menu_add -menu -before ".Tools" "Test"). However when I run Arbortext nothing happens =( and I don't now why, because if I execute the command on the command window inside Arbortex menu is created. I have been looking an option with javascript, but I'm not sure how could I get it with javascript.So please, if anybody knows the reason of my results, I would really appreciate your help. Also I have been thinking that maybe I have to configure something before but I'm not sure.As always I am pretty grateful for your help and support,Paulette Z

Has anyone else seen, diagnosed, fixedPublishing Engine 6.0 m010: APE Request Failure.Failed to save body file to [PE install path]....rq_4746\rqbody.datRead timed out.java.net.SocketTimeoutException.........This does not happen 100% of the time. It seems to be happening in ourlarger docs. (Our large docs aren't really all that large ... all less than1,000 pages, average is probably in the 200 to 300 range.)-- Paul Nagai

Sometimes when I'm inserting elements using ACL, the gentext doesn't update until I manually click the Update GenText button. I didn't see an ACL command that does the same action as the button, but I'm sure there must be one.Does anyone know how to do it? Steve

How to insert table, but without table dialog?ACL code "it table" invokes table dialog for defining number ofrows and columns.I know number of rows and columns and I need to insert table by ACL code automatically (and fill by data later).Does anybody fought with table?Alexander Neder

It looks it is impossibly to save few separate XML documents into Windchill by the only Save to Server or Check In. For example, if you have few DITA topics, but you have no map file, you should save separate documents into Windchill one by one. The same, if you have S1000D XML Data Modules you should open and save them to Windchill Server one by one.Usually WGM technology proposes to upload all  source files from local disk to Windchill. But Arbortext cannot do it. The only possibility for Arbortext - to save root document with links to chield documents.I believe such functionality like "import many XML files into Windchill" should be realized in Arbortext.Alexander Neder

Is arbortext editor limited to either bulleted or numeric lists?

We have files that use PNG files on the server, but the writers only have TIF files on their PC. I have a simple function: edit -ok -untagged "$docname" substitute -a -wrapscan /.png" width="1.27cm"/.tif" width="1.27cm"/To swap it out, but then I have to swap it out again to save it for the server.Any ideas?Dean

Hi Adepters!I have been working with ACL trying to implement a dynamic walk through which is in charge of make some changes through the document, however I have faced a problem, when I found locked content, I can not add attributes to an element, I am using oid_modify_attr to create new attributes, I'm not sure is this is the best ACL command in order to achieve this; however my doubt for now is if there's a way to modify locked content. I'm pretty new with Arbortext also, and I would like to know how can I unlock content in Arbortext using the menus, because I can't find it.As always I really, really appreciate your time an support.Best Regards,Paulette

I know little JS however the problem I am having is finding a reference to 'prefixes' (Application.event.target for example), also I am not sure what event's could be used (so for example onClick - does it even exist in XUI?).One of the examples of what I am trying to do:I would like to add textbox with a new id when the button with lablel 'Add Company Name' is clicked - I understand the logic, go to box object with id="coname", count textboxes, add new textbox with counter+1, however it is really hard to say what to use, for example 'Application.something' or 'Application.event.target.' or anything else (I am not sure how many 'prefixes' exist). Hi,I want the title of my root element to be used to build a top level "HelpTopic" in my .CHM. Currently all of the chapters are listed at the toplevel as siblings. I'd like them to be children of the root element.I have set HTML Chunking = yes for the root but that's not doing it.Does anyone know how to do that?-- Paul Nagai

Greeting,Is there anyway to generate PDF document from XSL-FO file like Apache FOP (xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/)? I am currently evaluating between between Apache FOP and Windchill (which contains Arbortext I assume?). Apache FOP is may not in the approved product list, but Windchill is so I am evaluating to see if I can convert XLS-FO to PDF from command like like Apache FOP (that is fop.bat foo.fo foo.pdf).Thanks.

Hi, all...Our upgraded Arbortext 6.0 M050 editor is now inserting thexmlns:atgra attribute into all <link> and <xref> elements, and the DITA OT errors out on it saying that it must be defined. We're using vanilla out-of-the-box DITA topics, and no customizations to AT, the DTDs, or the OT (yet).How do we prevent AT from adding this attribute, or what do we have to do to get the OT to accept it? I'm using Arbortext for DITA and, by and large, I'm really satisfied, but some of the pieces don't work quite right for my workflow. For example, some of the check completeness messages warn the writers of things that aren't, for us, problems.If I copy the entire com.arbortext.dita application into my own custom directory so I can customize it, do I need to delete the default one that comes with Arbortext? In the arbortext styler 6.0 I want to give all the headers rows in a table a background color, but I dont know how. I've have tried everything. In the custom tables its no problem to give the header row a background color, however its not a custom table, so that doesnt work. I also tried this in FOSI and APP, but with no luck. Can somenone help me?

I need to take a document that has Arbortext change tracking tags (e.g. atict:add) and convert it to one that has the Arbortext PIs (e.g. <?Pub tag add?>). Is there a supported way to do that or does anyone have an xslt?Thanks,Jeff

Has anyone seen this? When I queue a large document, I might see thefollowing types of errors (this is just a subset). I think it is a Windowsmemory related thing, or a timing thing, as it is not consistent and seemsto only happen on large documents. One of my customers is now moving to DITA and they author DITA bookmap/topic using Arbortext editor.They author DITA instances and they want to format them using DITA Open Toolkit.Here is my question.They need the following mainbooktitle element for output it to the book cover.<mainbooktitle>MaintenanceManual</mainbooktitle>or<mainbooktitle>Maintenance

Hi!I was wondering if there's a way in order to call an ACL file from a XUI button.
