How do find out the version of isodraw files ?

I'm working with an application that processes our content and produces anIETM view. I want to launch the application and have it work on thecurrent document and have its context (for the second program) be thefolder the document is currently located.It seemed like the the default was to use the directory where the currentdocument was. I got several successful runs of the program where this wastrue. Then it started writing files to the desktop instead of the folder Iwas using. Thought it might have something to do with double clicking thedocument and launching Arbortext vs dragging the document into an existingsession, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.Here is the sequence of events I'm trying to control:1) For an open document, select a range of content that will be used later.2) Create a Ant build properties file (always the same content).3) Generate a new XML publication module using content selected in step 1and create the file.4) Launch build application (3rd party tool)

I'm trying to use Java with Arbortext rather than my more typical ACL use.So I'm trying to get the java samples compiled and running before I startanything new.So I've copied the java source files to my custom/classes folder and havecompiled them there with the aom.jar file. i try to run the Hello worldexample as instructed in the readme file and it fails. This is a pretty open-ended question, but hopefully it will be an easy fix.Over the past 6 years or so, we would get the occasional entity (®,&ndash) appear in our content (usually due to copy/paste from other non-xmldocuments).For some reason, this year we're getting all sorts of &ndash and &mdashcharacters showing up, but I'm not aware of any significant changes made toour DTD or configs.Is there a simple way to force Arbortext to disallow (or automaticallyresolve) these entity refs? We try to tell the writers to only put incharacters on the keyboard, but copy/paste still allows the rogue ’ orthe like to show up.Any thoughts appreciated,Keith BerardMilliman Care Guidelines

Hi alli am facing a problen in pro Engineer.the problem is that i have installed ProE W5.When i select a plane,or edge or skecth or dimension line then it doesnot deselects with a single click outsid the edge or plane etc just like in other people Pcs.i mean when i just move the mouse pointer over the outline of a plane it highlights in cyan colours as yours but it dehighlights after a long time as compared to other systems and during this the system remains hang.....i have 1.8Ghz core 2 duo,2.2Gb ram and 1 Gb Nvidia graphics card in my Pc.can any one please to remove this headache....

Hi everyone,I am having a problem I hope someone can help me with...I have installed a DTD, associated a style sheet in a new document in Arbortext 5.3. When I select the introductory tag and attempt to insert an attribute I am prompted with the "Modify Atributes" tab. After selecting any of the options, I see the information populate the program, however the modify attributes popup completely freezes and I have to control alt delete. Can anyone please tell me what is happening here? I'm basically unable to do anything in the program now. Thanks very much

Hello,I would like to know more about the communications between Arbortext Editor and PDM Link.I can connect to my PDM Link server from Arbortext. Then I can make references toward existing Dynamic Documents hosted on my PDM Link server, insert documents inside others and so on.But what I'd realy like to do is making a reference toward an Object like a Part or an Item located on my PDM Link server (WTPart, ...).For instance, in a document from Arbortext Editor, I'd like to insert a reference toward a Part, it would open a window with the product structure (or anything else) so I could choose a Part. Then it would include the reference of this Part (and others informations) in my Dynamic Documents.I used to do that using sockets with older versions of Arbortext Editor (Epic) but I though there would be an easy (standard) way to do that with Arbortext Editor 5.4 but I can't find any.Does anyone have already done that ? Hey everybody,I realize this isn't a supported configuration, but I'm attempting to use Arbortext 5.3/5.4 on Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion. Arbortext itself works fine (so far). The problem I'm running into is that when I launch Help Center, instead of getting the normal "Help Center Overview" page, I get a nice text page with null pointer exception output.Has anyone out there running Arbortext in this environment (or any virtualized environment) run into this problem?Thanks,James

I've just looked at the product timetable and it shows Isodraw at release 7.2 from May 12th 2011.I can't find anything else about it - anyone know what the enhancements/fixes are?

Has anyone else noticed that when you have a tabbox with enough tabpanels tospill to a third row, the row order is non-intuitive? Specifically, I amseeing the following behavior:If I have 9 tabpanels and the tabbox is big enough for two rows, I see:5 6 7 8 9(1) 2 3 4Where 1 is active. If I cycle through the tabpanels (ctrl-tab), aftertabpanel 4, tabpanel 5 displays as expected.If I have 9 tabpanels and the tabbox is only big enough for three rows, Isee:4 5 67 8 9(1) 2 3Where 1 is active. If I cycle through the tabpanels (ctrl-tab), after tabpanel 3, tabpanel 4 displays as expected by me, the programmer, however itis surprising to the users since normal Windows behavior would move from 3to 7.Is this a bug? It looks like it won't work.I'm trying to use ACL to find and replace some numerically codedentities by their named entity.As an exemple : find " ", replace with " ".I tried the following things :find -es / /find -es / /But none work. Which mean I get the message 'String not found'.The only thing I could manage was to cut and paste the caracter shown inmy edit window to the command line.But I'm unable to do the same thing in my ACL file, because when I pastethat caracter in a text editor, I end with an '?'Any input or idea on how to handle those entity with ACL is welcome.Thanks and regards.Christophe LefebvreLexisNexis France

It seems that if you have a fixed license, multiple interfaces on yourcomputer (Wired and Wireless), and you switch between them, the FlexLM willtell you that your software isn't licensed and it won't open. Your licensefile is tied to one interface --- that must be "top priority" (active) inorder for your license file to authorize use of the software.PTC has a work around that requires you to go into the registry and monkeyaround forcing one of the interfaces to always be "top priority", ratherthan getting Acresso to fix the bug in FlexLM. It should be querying all theinterfaces on the machine, not just the "top priorty" one.FYI,Liz

Hello all, I have a question regarding the document fragment created by Arbortextwhen documents are included as larger documents as file entities. We have a series of manuals that are being created by combining ATApageblocks into a larger document structure using file entities.Usually the authors don't author directly from the larger document andedit the individual pageblocks, but these are smaller books (20-30pageblocks) and part of a project for bringing some legacy manualscurrent. Anyway, they are using the large document to do find/replace against allthe pageblocks. Then they are opening individual pageblocks to makeediting changes specific to those pageblocks. When the find/replaceroutine locates and replaces content in a pageblock, the documentfragment kicks in, commenting out the DOCTYPE declaration. So if thispageblock is opened individually, the context checking is turned off,since there's no DOCTYPE declaration and no root element declaration. Is there a way to "toggle" this

I am trying to grab the value of an environment variable (one set byanother application) in an ACL script placed in the init directory.However, it keeps telling me that the $ENV["MY_VAR"] package doesn'texist. For the past 5 or so years, we've been using a docked XUI control set withinArbortext to facilitate content-aware authoring tools. This has worked outpretty well, and at the time we didn't want to spend too much time creatinga GUI, so XUI did the trick.Recently, however, we've been making some changes to our back-end contentmanagement, which has led me to put all CMS-specific code up on a servicelayer, with simple RESTful calls being made from Arbortext. Because ofthis, I'm now using Netbeans, and have thought of making some changes to theGUI.So... I guess my question is: Has anyone had success/experience docking aJava Swing control within a XUI panel? Back when XUI was pretty new, I hadtried using some ActiveX embedding, but performance (and writing ActiveX ingeneral) were less than optimal.Even our current XUI controls are written directly in Java, usingDocument.createElement() type methods (plenty of examples up on adepters.org),so programmatically, it shouldn't be much of a change.

I have problems in the installation of Isodraw 6, I tried to download the latest drivers from safenet, no success, none of them recognise the dongle. I have Windows Vista home basic, with 250GBRAM, hard drive. I have seen one person had this problem, and was suggested to alter the BIOS settings. Regards Nick Berardo

I put a axdocbook.acl file in the axdocbook doctype directory and it failed again. Then I realized, after talking to Brandon Ibach, that I shouldn't be using doctype.acl file, I should use instance .acl. That seems to work.Previously we were using a pubrc file, which has been decremented in Arbortext 6. I mistakenly chose the wrong filename.
