Hi, How can I check the date code in Creo 8.0.8.0 software?In previous versions, when we open "About Creo," it would show both the version and the date code. However, in Creo 8.0.8.0, it only shows the version(see attached image). Please suggest where we can find the date code.

Is it a PTC error that in the download of version 20.7.1.0 inside the .zip file there is version 20.7.0.0?? in the zip file 20_7_0_1 there is the executable 20.7.0.0in the zip file 20_7_1_0 there is the executable 20.7.0.0 Did they just make a mistake in the name of the file since the dimensions are different?

Hello,my new laptop doesn't have an ethernet plug with its own Physical address, and depending on where I work I plug it into different docking stations which have an ethernet plug and their own physical address.I have a nodelock license, so which Host ID should I enter into the licensing page?Right now I'm at the office plugged into a docking station, and cmd-ipconfig shows my host id is 30-13-8B-EF-C2-A9.When I start the Creo installer it shows the same host id. So I get a license file for this host id, load the file in the License window, and I get a Not suitable error.I contacted PTC licensing support and the seem to be clueless on this issue, any ideas or possible solutions?Thank you!Guido 

Dear Creo-Team/Community,I'm currently trying to open Creo after some months. Creo asks for an activation key, which I've tried to created manually on the redirected creo.com website. Sadly it isn't working anymore. Can anyone please help?  

Can somebody at PTC please have the common decency to advise us on the intentions of the License Server for Modeling Express 8. Either that ore release the product from this requirement.   Regards (but not expecting a reply from anyone in the know)    

Dear Team,When I am trying to install Creo Element direct modelling 20.7, I got this error. I know this is specific to Windows, but somehow I am not able to fix this, please help me. OS- Windows 11 HomeProcessor - AMD Ryzen 5 Note- In Windows 10 it works perfectly fine. 

As per this topic   Having similar issue - I can get the 72 hour key, but I've had to do it for like 3 weekends straight now.  This is the longest run ever, in about 5 years of using this product I can only remember single weekend outages in the past.   Creo, gents! You offer a fantastic free use product here - but locking us out when the phone-home connection doesn't work for nearly a month is going to make me finally consider thems other guys I otherwise hate (Fusion, cough).  Please don't make me do that.   If keeping a license server active for a free product is too much of a drain, please consider a reasonable hobby-tier purchase! I'd be willing to pay a Benjamin or so for an annual, local license key.

I have been trying to install Creo 7.0 for a while, but keep getting a loading icon that disappears after a few seconds.I have tried running as administrator, disabling firewalls and antiviruses, and deleting all previous licenses and things off my computer (all at the same time). Does anyone have any insight?

Hello, this is my first posting in the ptc-community and I hope, I put my question in the correct group. My name is Rudolf and I used creo elements direct modelling for about 6 years to create little things for my model railroad, but now I have a problem. I wanted to start the program, and because of I don't know the proxy-configuration (I think I don't use a proxy), creo asked for the activation-key. Normally I clicked on the button (Aktivierungsschlüssel anfordern [get activation key] and a new window opens in firexfox, where I can enter my email-adress and my password and get a temporary activation key for 72 h. But since yesterday evening the new window opens in firefox, but the screen keeps white and after a few minutes the message is "Die Verbindung zu www.ptc.com wurde unterbrochen, während die Seite geladen wurde" (the connection to www.ptc.com was interrupted during the site was load.) I am very sad, because I actually create the station of my hometown for my model railroad in

I don´t know how or from where I can download creo direct for student. I tried download creo 10.0 because I believe I could choose creo direct version in installation phase, but only parametric version is available.      

Hello,for many years I'm using Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 6.0. Some weeksago I installed Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0 on my Windows 7 pro.Once Creo Elements 8.0 is runnung with a opened pk2-file and I want to add anotherpk2-file from the Microsoft Explorer by clicking on it, then Creo Elements 8.0 thepk2-file opens in a new instance and a second prozess is runnig.Is there any setting for Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0 in which thisbehaviour can be changed?

Are any Creo Elements/Direct users out there familiar with PTC's long term plans for the software? Today I learned that CSI is discontinuing its line of Model Manager add-on products. We have been using their AnyDocs add-on for years. This, plus the fact that PTC has been developing Creo for awhile now, has me concerned that Creo Elements/Direct will not be supported for much longer. My biggest concern is not having to find a new CAD software, its the potential of losing our Model Manager database full of attributes, links, etc.  Does anyone have any experience with migrating a Manager Server to another database solution? If so, how successful was it? Also, what other CAD and database solutions are worth looking at? Thanks in advance! -Dan

Hello, When trying to open a pdf from windchill on the embedded browser on Creo 5, I receive this error I tried following this article where this was solved Article - CS271042 - Downloading attachment of CAD document from Creo embedded chromium browser fails (ptc.com), however I do not have the Windchill Shell installed on my system. I require the embedded browser to be set to chromium_browser, otherwise other tools will not work. Is there any other known solution to this issue?  Thank you,Mark

Hi, I am currently planning the transition to the latest Creo version for our NC programmers. With that we need to update our client hardware. Since I am not that familiar with Creo I was hoping somebody could give me some insights on the recommended hardware for our clients. e.g.- Intel i5 or Intel i7 CPU?- How much RAM is enough RAM (32GB)?- Do I need a dedicated GPU, if so is a T600 4GB sufficient or should I go for T1000 8GB? Thank you very much for your help.

Hej everyone! I am running Creo 7 and have tried several times to apply the latest updates. I have administrator rights on my computer.  When I start the setup file I get no error message, nothing. But the file starts somehow and then nothing happens. How do I fix this? Greets from Sweden!Björn  

Creo 7 is instantly returning a "Windchill Authentication Failed" error when trying to establish a new server connection. I have cleared all of the cached password information set the browser type to "chromium_based". I am able to connect from Creo 3 and a web browser. I am using a freshly updated license of Engineer III.  

I'm trying to upgrade Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 6.0 to 8.0. When I run the Installation file it stops mid way with the following error "Internal Error 2754. soliddesigner.exe" Has anyone else experienced this and know how to resolve?    

I am using Creo Elements/Direct License Server 19.0  with Windows server 2008 R2.Is this version compatible with Windows server 2019. ?Has anyone ever installed this version on Windows server 2019 or even 2022. ? I am no longer covered by a maintenance contract and I am looking for version 20.5 of the license server.Can anyone send me a copy of this version ? TY for your help

Hey PTC Community,many students report problems with the quality agent and the embedded browser.Either it says the Quality Agend cannot be initalized or the embedded Browser is not available.  We require the access to the browser to teach the PDM systems to our students.We reinstalled Creo with Admin permissions (with system restart), updated Java, turned off the firewallIs there anything else we can try? Kind regardsArn Joerger

Hello Creo community! I am currently running version 6.0 on my laptop for my solid modeling class. However, the new Windows update has come out and I am afraid it may no longer work if I upgrade, so I would like to ask if it's safe to upgrade to Windows 11 for version 6.0.  Thank you all so much in advance! No problem running direct modeling 19 M010 and 20.0 under windows 11 on HP XW9400 32GB RAM / NVIDIA QUADRO 600 (windows seven upgraded to windows 10 upgraded to windows 11).Suddendly yesterday (none system update only daily virus definition) annotation stopped working: on 3d modeling side everything is normal but when I activate the annotation module the software freezes. This occurs in Direct Modeling 19 M010 and 20.0 and in Direct Access 19 and 20.0 while Direct Drafting (me10) has no problem.I already tried to change video card (QUADRO K2200 and RADEON HD6570 normally working on my other XW9400 with windows 10) and the problem is the same.It seems like something has changed in windows 11 graphics management.... any suggestion?Thanks
