I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 10.2 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS09When create WTDocument on Windchill, it is configured to select lifecycle template in OIR. After revise, the lifecycle template changed automatically. I think PDMLink should keep using the same lifecycle template after revise. How can I do this ?

Is there any way to update the Select Participants role on the fly using windchill api. Currently we need a subset of roles based on whatever types of documents or parts are available but I cant seem to figure out how to do that using the api. Only thing I came up with so far is to remove the roles from table using javascript thought havent figured out yet how I will pass those roles to the front-end for removal. 

Hi, Is anyone aware of  below cases,API to by pass the revise transition of the object to set new versionORAPI to set version to specific version without revising to new revision of the object.Please let me know if anyone aware of this cases or any alternative if you feel. Thanks in Advance

I was trying to get data from ServiceEffectivity to a String and I tried to convert it to NmCommandBean as shown in the figure. When I tried to compile it I am now getting a error as String cannot be converted into NmCommandBean. How should I solve this problem?

I am now working on a customization where I have to create an export of Parts List data in that particular Information Structure based on the Service Effectivities present in the Service Effectivity Filter. When I am trying to get the Service Effectivity of a Parts List object it is giving me zero value though the service effectivities has been defined in it. Does anyone have experience they can share with using Business Rules for Options and Variants? We have used both. We have some use cases that could benefit from combining these two feature however I am keen to hear of others experience with this.Thanks

Hello Community, My client is looking for a way to continuously synchronise data from PROD to DEV server. For example, if an assembly is modified in PROD, the same updates need to be propagated to DEV system so that any update that they may do in DEV will utilize the latest BOM. I have a BOM structure with WT parts. The WT parts are linked to CAD drawing or is described by document. I have made a customized view for Multi Level BOM report generation. I require two columns  to be added to this view (1) Linked drawing / document number (2) Revision of linked drawing / document. Attached is the screenshots. How can I add the two columns in the customized view for generation of BOM report please suggest. We use WIndchill 11.1

Does anyone know of a good way to print information or text that's within Windchill?More specifically our company uses the "Comments" Section quite a bit for our Change Notice Documentation. It seems there's no good way to capture or print this information unless you screenshot it. See attachment for reference.

I added a new step to the Promotion process and added the DRWPART attribute for this step. There are two options for this attribute "YES", "NO". How do I make it mandatory to choose one of these two options from the Extension manager > Promotion Validate Plus section.   

After upgrade from 12.0.2.9 to 12.1.2.0 the "My Tasks" table on the home page is missing the 3 multi task related icons and actions. The 3 missing icons/actions are: Accept Tasks, Reassign Tasks, and Decline Tasks. I have not made any changes to anything related to roles besides upgrading that I am aware of.   This affects all users except for wcadmin. In the screenshot below the left is "normal" user and the right is wcadmin. Note the 3 highlighted icons and actions for wcadmin that are missing for the normal user.         Digging into it with jcaDebug=1 shows these are actually "removed by role-based check". See screenshot below:     I do have a call open with PTC but haven't gotten any solution yet.   Anybody here have ideas for me to test?

What is the problem?I get the error:        NDI ERROR: two dependencies have same uniqueID "".But have no idea how to find these two dependencies that are generating this error.  As can be observed, the error does not provide any information about the two dependencies.
