We are planning to move from Windchill PDM Essentials is 11.1 M020 to Windchill PLM 12.1.2.5 Prior to upgrade, documents say we need to run a WinDu tool. Where is a download link for a recent version of Windu diagnostic tool. How can a custom REST API endpoint be created to get Reference documents on a given WTDocument in Windchill?I found a very similar QA on Java API but I want to get the same functionality in a custom REST endpoint:https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS183968     

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.2How to purge change objects, workflows, baseline and all other objects from selected organization of Windchill.

We use the save-as function all the time. The common practice is to download a master or reference model to a workspace and save a copy from there. During that process, the file location is set to the root folder of Windchill by default and the files have to be reassigned. We would like to have the new files location match the reference ones. We have the preference management option "use location source object" set to yes. Unfortunately, it only works with the save as from commonspace, and not from workspace. Is this normal behavior or is there an option we missed? This is with Windchill 10.2 and 12.1.. Thank you.

Hi, I need support with ACL creation in Windchill Project. We have created External Collaborator role in project and have assigned ACL for Read/Download for Object approved state. However, the collaborator is able to view Inwork version of the objects shared from PDM. The ACL's created in a project seem to work only on objects created in the project but not on the objects shared from PDM. Can someone share the process to define access for external collaborators in Project environment for PDM shared objects as well as project objects. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.1.10Save-as does not use/generate new part number from Windchill. Save-as uses existing part number, prompting user to define new part number. Found article CS310090, already uninstalled and reinstalled WGM client application. No change in behavior. Solidworks 2020 SP5, Windchill WGM Client 11.2.1.0. This functionality works for other users, seems to be isolated to one client specifically when performing Save-as operation.

Hello PTC Community,I'm exploring Windchill and very desperate to know dashboard customization.Can we create our own dashboard with specific requirement (Mix of visualization & tables)? Here is the scenario.I'm working on a self  paced project and wanted to create my own dashboard which should have both data visualization (5 unique Tabs on top of the page) and a table below the visualization with 5 columns.  If I wanted to choose specific tab, relevant data has to be pulled out from different objects & it should display in the table.I have attached a rough layout for above scenario.I know it's very difficult and not that easy for me. But I need your guidance to do this job. Anyone who can suggest me where & how to start, really appreciated.I'm working on Windchill 12.0 versionBig Thanks.... 🙂     

Hello everyone!In my test virtual machine with WDC11, when I create a PCR the menu Actions > New > New Change Request does not appear. So I turned on the jcaDebug and the the option is there, but with a message: hidden by validator Can anyone help me solve this? Is this something about policy? Role? Preference? Thanks!

I am using Windchill Foundation & PDM Release N/A and Datecode with CPS N/AWhen make a drawing with a format option and thins drawing checkin in Windchill 12.1.2.0 the format always pass to Windchill too. If this format out of the space work, the next time to save drawing, format I see it again.Always I have to see the format when I work with Drawing?There are any option for Windchill don't see the format?

Is it possible to create a package that contains only a specific document softtype (reference documents).What I'm trying to achieve is the following:Select a WT-partAdd to packageCreate new custom package (custom package type is already set-up)Then the collector should only add reference documents (incl. reference documents for all dependents) but not described by documentsI could achieve this by filtering during the collector stage using the type filter, but I'm looking for a way to achieve this as a default setting, so that when the custom package-type is selected only that specific softtype of documents is included as content.I tried working with the package type-based properties, but couldn't get that to work, because the content-role-type for both reference and described-by documents is Primary. 

Hello, Greetings! I have been trying to access the CEM (Customer Experience Management) action to create NEW CEM Object from the Homepage as well from Quality Context, but still the error message shows " You do not have create permission to this Object" . I have verified the Access Control Rules for all the cem types and the Participant Permission grants (Full Control). Yet it displays the permission issue while I try to create new cem.Can anyone support me on this? Thanks is advance!

Hi All,In WC11 I am using - WorkInProgressHelper.service.checkin(obj, ""); API to checked in the drawing and after checked in automatically CAD Worker was getting published.But In WC12 when I am using the same object is getting checked in but job is not getting triggered .Could you please suggest me which API should I used to trigger Publish through code.Thanks.@HelesicPetr  

Hello All, In one of our Windchill 12 Instance we were using Corporate LDAP to connect with Windchill. IT Has deleted the default site admin user (wcadmin) from Corporate LDAP and now our Windchill server is not starting. Any way to replace the site admin user with some new  User ID and how to do that process. Any help will be much appreciated, as else we need to setup the Windchill again on that system.

Hi Everyone, I have 50 products in Windchill, here we can take 2 products in that team members are totally different (for example user only on that product not on another product) user is using the search method to find all the data. but he doesn't have access to that product he can view it all. So my question is whoever doesn't have that product access they're not able to view the data. How we can do it. Regards,Amir

Hi there,I have the following problem, when I start as an orgadmin I create a Text Document and start the Problem report. When I look in the Problem report workflow i ve put as Change Admins I 3 participants: orgadmin, user A and user B. I sign in as user A i can see the problem report but can't approve the same as user B. I can approve only as orgadmin. For user A and B the routing options are grayed out so they can't bring any decision like Fast track approval, clarify, reassign etc... but i want also approve as user A and user B why is that not possible?
