Hello, currently working with a company that use Document Classification.They have one document type for Manufacturing documents but within the classification are selections that should have a different Lifecycle than other selections.Any idea how this can be done?I see some help info for “classification binding attribute” but I don’t know if that can be used to define different creation outcomes (OIR).Thanks

We are working on using ProjectLink to share files with our suppliers. We would like our suppliers to be notified when the version (not revision) of an object changes in a Project.Does anyone know how to do this? I looked myself and opened a case with PTC. We weren’t able to find a way to do it using subscriptions.I would imagine many companies are using ProjectLink and sharing data with suppliers in Projects. How are vendors notified when files are updated?Thanks for your help!

What is the request to retrieve the WINDCHILL Similar to (Master) items for a given item?For instance, for item 1515151, I want to have the its similar to (Master) item 133553 in the response.How to get this?Thanks 

In the Part Structure tab, an user can select the Viewing panel --> Show --> Configurable Links, to show all of the configurable links (Revision, Describe, Reference, Master) of the Parts in the Structure.This will improve user experience, will make it for users much easier to get insight and overview of all configurable links in a structure. Currently it is only possible to see configurable links of a Part by selecting (every) Part in the Structure and go to (configured) ‘configurable link’ table on the right side of the Structure.Cause Parts are continuously updated and because it is not possible to get insight, an overview on Part structure level on configurable links it is hard/cumbersome/error-prone to monitor/update the configurable links at the moment.

I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Team Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS F000 Getting Error: License initialization failed: Flex initilation error. (-96) License was moved to a new server. Now clients cannot reach it. The license service starts and stops properly. The log file shows no errors occuring. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.19 We have a WTPart associated with a CAD part. During a checkout/check-in operation on the WTPart, the checkout is successful; however, the check-in fails and does not complete successfully. This can be done for Creo assemblies: In the step "Choose Structure Type" of "New Representation", we can punch in the name of the representation. Is there a way, similar to Catia V5 and Creo to load a BOM spatial filterd structure into NX?In Catia i know, I can use the Design Context Structure, but for NX this is not possible (written in PTC documentation)Now i am searching for a Workaround. First idea was > Filter Expand all > select EPM with Advanced selection > Copy all > create a Baseline > paste EPM > filter EPM with Baseline and load to CADWorks but not satisfied…. Because, 3d models with instances also in the removed nodes, will be added and i cannot update this same as with the Design Context. Any ideas how to deal with Design Context functions in NX?

I need to make Source attribute read only based on view of part. If the part is design view, then in structure tab Source attribute must be read only. But currently it editable as you seen below screen shot. is there any way to write data utility or something that will make Source attribute read only for Design parts.

I am using Windchill ProjectLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS18 The estimated start time of the plan and activity under the project was reset to 8:00 AM on the day the project was created, and the estimated start time of the activity was set three months after the project was created, but it was still reset. During the step where Change Administrators assign members to the Change Review Board (CRB) role, I want them to be able to search for and assign an entire Group rather than individual users.Once the workflow task is routed, it needs to go to all members of that group, but only one member of the group should need to complete it for the activity to move forward.Example Scenario: Role: Change Review Board Group A (Members: Person 1, Person 2, Person 3) Group B (Members: Person 4, Person 5, Person 6) Desired Behavior: Any one person from Group A (1, 2, or 3) can complete the task for Group A, and any one person from Group B (4, 5, or 6) can complete it for Group B. We are starting to create configurable products and would like to handle the whole chain from EBOM to MBOM to Process Plan in Windchill before sending the MBOM and Process Plan to our ERP.Is here anyone who has implemented some form of automation for creating Process Plans for configurable products? It seems that you can filter the Process Plan with a Variant Specification, but for some reason I cannot use the same VarSpec that was used in generating the EBOM and MBOM variants. I need to create a new Variant Specification inside the Process Plan Structure browser to get some different type of Variant Specification that can be used to filter the Process Plan. Here are the different Variant Specification types as described in the Windchill Help Center:The top most type is created when you configure a configurable product and the second one is created when you create a new Variant Specification from Process Plan Structure browser.Also just filtering the Process Plan is not enoug

I have a custom FormProcessor that creates a new WTPart and returns a success banner message. The processor correctly generates the WTPart and its URL, but the banner message displays the URL as <a href="..."> instead of rendering it as a hyperlink.I have tried:Manually constructing the URL and passing it into FeedbackMessage. Passing the generated WTPart inside an ObjectBean and calling super.getSuccessFeedbackMessage(objList).Neither approach results in the OOTB hyperlink behavior seen when creating objects through standard Windchill forms. Also attached partial code. Is there any recommended way to return the created object so that the banner automatically hyperlinks it (similar to standard object creation)?Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.1.2 Users are unable to create a Product when selecting a specific Product Template. During the creation process, Windchill returns an error and the Product is not created. Please find the Method Server error attached. We have already verified the following: Users belong to the Product Creators group. Permissions required to create Products have been reviewed and appear to be correctly configured. Other Product Templates can be used successfully. The issue seems to be related only to this specific Product Template. Additionally, the Method Server error references a user account that no longer exists in Windchill and belongs to a former employee. The user that has permission to create a Product is A. Hello to all;I am looking for a way to display products on the Product Details page that are not classified as End Items, but are just as important as End Items.These products do not need to appear in the End Item section. Instead, they could be displayed in a separate field, such as a "Favorite Product" or a similar custom field.My goal is to have products with Part Type = End Item = No visible in a dedicated area on the Product Details page, making them easy to identify and access.
