Hi there,I am trying to install Windchill.But when I start the installer via RDP on a computer with a 4k monitor, I get this:Title, side bar and headings are quite readable.  But all input fields (text, dropdown, checkbox, etc. ) a tiny and not readable.The text lines are only 5 pixels “tall”. Is there a trick?  

I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS02 to perform Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) calculations on circuit board assemblies.  We run the Enterprise Edition on a server. We no longer have a dedicated IT application person on staff so we've lost our application expertise.The issue I'm having is with a project backup. I'm able to select the project I want to backup, go through the backup steps and get the message that the backup completed successfully. But, we can't find the backup file. It's not stored locally on my PC and our IT person wasn't able to locate it on the server.Where would the backup file would be saved?  Filename?  File extension?Thanks in advance

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.26 We have rehosted Windchill from the Production server to the Development server. After completing the rehost, we configured the JNDI adapter on the Development environment. Following this configuration, the Participant Administration → Find Participants page is not opening and displays the error: “The identifying information for the objects being processed is corrupted.” We suspect this may be related to the JNDI/LDAP configuration. Please advise on the cause of this issue and the supported procedure to validate and resolve the JNDI inconsistency.

The purpose of the task is to ask each Product Manager to manually review their Product Team and confirm that the team members and information are still correct.The expected behavior is:1. Hello everyone, I'm using Windchill 13.1.4.0 Rev 01 (a virtual machine downloaded from the PTC website). I'd like to create a button (with an icon) to insert into the Windchill Contents folder so that clicking the button modifies an attribute of the selected row. The figure below shows the panel where I'd like to insert the button. I tried adding an action in custom-actions.xml and custom-actionModels.xml, but nothing appears. Any suggestions?BRDimitri

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.3. I would like to create a group filter on an infoengine adapter that limits the participant administrator so that it can only find a single group in AD. I added the group.filter property but I can't figure out the format required for the filter itself. I tried just specifying the cn of the group but it just excluded all groups so I'm not sure the format is correct. Could someone advise please?

Hi,I’m trying to make the “Replace” button active in a structure of a Part alternate:I can’t understand why it is not active. Looking at the following documentation https://support.ptc.com/help/windchill/r13.1.2.0/en/index.html#page/Windchill_Help_Center/configsandinstances/CIInstanceReplacePartWithin.html I don’t see what is justifying this behavior. Users select the required options and choices, and the Variant Specification is successfully created under the user's account. However, we observed that the 100% BOM deliverable is being created under the Site Administrator account instead of the user who created the Variant Specification. We would like to understand: Why is the 100% BOM deliverable being created by the Site Administrator? Is this the expected system behavior? Is it possible to configure the system so that the 100% BOM deliverable is created under the same user account that creates the Variant Specification? Expected Behavior: The 100% BOM deliverable should be created under the user account that creates the Variant Specification. Hi there,I am trying (hard) to install and migrate from WC 12.0 to WC 13.0.Somehow, I managed to get through that 100+ step process of installing and migrating. But why does PTC makes it so complicate to “just” update their products?Did they never head about docker? e.g. why are all customizations burried somewhere in sub-sub-folders all over the place.Why do I have to copy configurations files manually from the source system to the target system at migration step 67?I am missing something. Is is just me, who thinks that the whole PDM infrastructure ist based back in the early 90s?Cheers /me PS.: I am curious, if this post gets censored by PTC like my recent one. 

If you refer to article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS30168 it says to export your files and then import them in numerical order. I can get to step 4 successfully.   As soon as I try and import the file numbered _0 it fails with wt.util.WTException: Invalid Name: "local.rs.vsrs05.Regain" is incompatible with the domain context "null".   local.rs.vsrs05.Regain is the organization internal name.  I gather file _0 contains the global attributes which in my case exist on the target machine. I would not expect it to error, I would expect it to do nothing in my case.   FIle _1 contains the attributes form the object type parent but it will load successfully, even though it also does nothing in my case.   File _2 does load successfully and does create the object correctly, even if I do not load file _0 and file _1.   Additionally, I need to specify the organization in the loadfromfile command otherwsie it bombs out.   Does anybody k

After restarting my Windchill, I could’nt log in to Windchill as a user (not as wcadmin). Before that, i can normally use my windchill. The message error looks like this:Do you know how to fix this? I have already tried this way, but still couldn’t work

Hello,If a Change Request is rejected in the Analyze Change Request activity, the Change Request and it's associated objects (Problem Report/Variance) are set in state Resolved by the Synchronization robots.I would like the objects to be set in state Rejected instead. Is there a solution for that?
