Is there a way to save a creo view file as a PDF? I have to send it via email to someone who does not have Creo.

In Windchill there should exists cascading attribute rule support for the Change Task object type.  As of Windchill 12.0, the Cascading Attributes tab is available only on the following types:• Part, Document, Change Notice, Change Request, Problem Report, Promotion Request and Variance, and their subtypes.• QMS object types such as CAPA Request, Nonconformance, Customer Experience, CAPA Investigation, Nonconformance Investigation and customer Experience Product Investigation.• Types unique to PTC Windchill FlexPLM.Cascading Attributes Tab Support  i.e.  No Cascading Attributes tab with Change Task@JeffZemsky @asalunke

One team I support has created a configurable product structure with multiple level migrated from ERP variant configurator. The surprise for them has shown up at the time or doing variant updates via reconfigure (a lower level configurable module components have changed). On reconfigure the system determines there is input match but the structure has changed (no-matching-variant), and it offers to update the variant. However, it only updates/iterates the level at which you configure, AND creates NEW intermediate variants in the path up from where the change happened (instead of iterating them or offer level by level updates). I see that there was a case open (Article - CS213714) but it seems it has been dropped by R^D after some time.... Has anybody found a workaround or alternative way to achieve interation/updates on all levels instead of creation of new variants? Or enven some approach to organize these types of models in a diffferent (more robust manner to limit variant p

We have a tremendous number of files that are obsolete or otherwise useless to us, and there doesn't seem to be any way to delete them in WindChill. We get all sorts of error messages, most of them stating that some sort of relationship exists. We know those relationships have been broken (family tables) yet we cannot delete anything. Most recently we got the following message:wt.vc.VersionControlException cannot be cast to wt.epm.confilict.EPMNonOverrideableConflictExceptionThis message makes absolutely no sense to anybody here and is obviously code for some sort of error that we cannot figure out. Is there ANYBODY out there who knows how to delete useless files?

Hello,I am looking to see if there is a way in a CAD BOM comparison, to get the CAD objects to show as merged ues rather than individually. I must be missing something super simple here, but how does one discard the changes to an object in a local workspace without losing the changes in the server side workspace?Steps to reproduceCheck out objectOpen in Creo, make changes, save.Upload changes.Make more changes in Creo, save.Need to discard changes in step 4 and return to condition of object in step 3."Update" doesn't work - "Nothing is Out Of Date in Workspace"Frames (or events) aren't an option (in this particular case).Current workaround is to launch Creo on a different PC, export the object from the same workspace (with only the server side changes), physically transport it to the other PC, and re-open, overwriting the last local workspace version.Is there a better way?

Just upgraded to Windchill 12.1 and I'm noticing an odd issue when additional files are downloaded from the representation.  For some reason Windchill (or Apache) is dynamically replacing every space character with a plus sign (+).  The additional files themselves do not include the plus sign in their names, and this can be seen by downloading the entire representation.  I dug through the preferences thinking maybe this is something new, but I'm not finding anything.  Please let me know if you have seen this before or have any idea what might be causing it.  Thanks!

Is it possible for users to default to a custom navigation filter? We have defined a set of navigation filters using the manage filters option. Windchill 11.2 allows users to switch to a particular filter using the manage filters dropdown option. But this doesn't work when users navigate to another part structure. System automatically changes users filter selection back to 'System Default'. Instead we want to keep the filter selection permanently for users. We can't modify System Default and that affects every user in the system. Because groups of users like Designers and Mfg Engineers want to have different filter criteria/filters.

Is t possible to remove the Design view version from here?because we can see it on the predecessor

Hi All,We are just starting to create a development platform for Windchill on a Windows 2003 64 bit VM. We would like to run IIS and have single signon with Windows Integrated Authentication (if that makes sense). The Advanced configuration guide outlines steps for basic auth with integrated authentication disabled. Are there configurations with integrated authentication enabled? In a subtype attribute layout we have an attribute 'xyz' which is getting displayed twice. At the parent type level the attribute is only defined once but in the subtype the same attribute is appearing twice. In the parent layout if we try to remove the attribute form the attribute display layout then one of this gets removed in the subtype as well but one still remains. Has anyone faced similar kind of issue??
