Using Windchill Rest to retrieve a BoM, and mainly referencing: https://support.ptc.com/help/windchill_rest_services/r1.7/en/index.html#page/windchill_rest_services/WCCG_RESTAccessExamplesReadBOM.html I have found the correct rest endpoint to return navigate criterias. However this service returns an empty array for the available navigation criterias. Anyone know why this is, or can explain/point me in the right direction of what a navigation criteria is and how to work with them.

I know this has been covered before, but seems it's been a while and I'm confused again. I have uploaded a Creo part that has not been checked-out; lucky, for then few days later I unintentionally saved over my local workspace copy with a version from another local backup.  So now I want to get back the version that I uploaded to the server-side workspace.   I managed to do this by launching new Creo session (after renaming my local cache folder and basically forcing the rebuild of the cache in the new folder), and then doing a save-as-backup.  Luckily I did this before I attempted the "Add function" and "download" which ended up bringing in the previous version of the object from the commonspace (not the server-side workspace)...     So, was there an easier way of getting the latest uploaded server-side workspace version of the object back into the local workspace?  And am I abusing the upload to server function as a means of a undo?

Why does Windchill 12.1.0.x have such a short support life? 12.1.0.5 is scheduled for release on Aug 17 yet all 12.1.0.x have an end of support date of Sep 30, 2022. Is it even worth considering this release if we are upgrading from 11.0 or 11.1? Even 12.1.1 only has a 9 month support. It looks like 12.0.2.5 or .6 will be the best upgrade path for now with 12.1.2.x sometime in 2023 or early  2024, unless Windchill 12.2.x or Windchill 13 comes out in 2023.

Hello everybody,I describe the problem I am encountering:1. in a product context I create a linked part and cad:- 1234 v -.1- 1234.ASM v -.12. send to project context and check out PDM and get:- 1234 v -1.1- 1234.ASM v -1.13. in the project context I modify the files, check-in and send to PDM (with the right permissions)4. in the product context I get:- 1234 v -.2- 1234.ASM v -.25. if, in java code, i try to find last iteration, queryresult returns "--1" (from the project context?) and not the -.2 from the product context.The problem goes away if I check out - check in.NB:- version "--1" does not exists i nboth project context and product context;- if I delete part and CAD in project context I obtain the same result. Question: Is it possible to limit the queryspec to all libraries and all products so as not to search in project contexts?Thank You

When clicking pdf file icon that is stored in PDMLink, error message like Unexpected server response appears and the pdf file is not shown on browser. Would you please let me know what is that cause and how to resolve it? I posted a question about that to PTC support but I received the answer that it is nothing to do with PDMLink function, and it is most likely to do that it is affected by user's PC setting and eventually I was not able to resolve it.I would appreciate your help(view in My Videos)  

We just acquired the PDF Collaboration license for 11.1 system (CPS 12). This enables PDF mark ups in Creo View. It appears as " ptc_wnc_pdf_collab_n" in license management or "Windchill PDF Collaboration" online. It was missing its group and was not recognized when we loaded it to our test server.   I saw this in the knowledge base: cs344466  cs348787    Does this mean I am s.o.l. until CPS 18+ or Windchill 12?  They seemed to classify this as an SPR oopsie, but it truly cannot work before that CPS, they should declare clearly that there is a minimum CPS required. Any one come across this before? Any chance there is a side patch so as to not have to do an entire CPS update for this feature?

Hello,We want to have a second level authentication (RSA) for a group of users.Once, the user inserts username, password, they get authenticated against LDAP.Now, at this point, we will check LDAP groups of the user.If user belongs to certain groups, we will ask to insert RSA credentials to the user.After this second authentication, Windchill will get launched.If the user is not in those particular LDAP groups, Windchill will get launched without RSA authentication.The help we need is, how can we plug all these new mechanism?I have created a servlet which accepts username as input and does remaining things.But, where can we put it in the configuration? (in between OOTB login and launch).Thank you.

      I need to export Classification attributes for Part in ESIResponse file. Is Arbortext Windchill based and can it be intergraded into Thingworx Navigate? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We use a data utility to render Boolean attributes as check boxes in a document create page.   The default value for all these Boolean attributes is no (unchecked) . In the same create page we have an attribute with a conditional constraint (select a certain value in the drop down list and another attribute in the page is set to Required).   If a user makes selections for the Boolean attributes (checks one or more of the boxes) and then make a change to the conditional constraint attribute, the page is refreshed, and the Boolean attributes are unchecked (reset to default value).   Is there a best practice for configuring this data utility so the Booleans remain as-is when the conditional constraint attribute is updated?

I would like to know if there is some ability like an ACL (hopefully OOTB) that I can have users as a different role than Product Manager but still be able to add or adjust tasks in the plan, and adjust Team members as necessary, but not full access such as is granted with Product Manager. I specifically want to avoid the Set State option for roles, but it is granted as full under Product Manager. Any ideas? 

How do I get a soft copy of Common Business Object(CBO) schema(XSD) that Windchill PDMlink ESI uses to publish data to downstream systems ? 

In the context of "Recent Products" there is a tab "Tasks". I can view all the tasks in one context. Please tell me how to view all tasks in several or all contexts at once through search or reports?

Help documentation is poor and I could not find anything in knowledge base that's current. Seems like a simple question but I cannot figure out its purpose. "If available, upload a file containing schematics for the node class." this is not very useful.

How to disable Export All in Part list and Part structure OOTB apps, as we don't need that option for users. Thanks in advance.  

I am unable to use the Cascading Attributes functionality in 11.1 M020 because both of my attributes (ex: attribute1 & attribute2) are to be read from a list in a property file on the file system.   I have an attribute1 that generates a pull down list of selections using a ComboxBox. Based on the selection for attribute1, I would like to dynamically update the pulldown list of values available for attribute2.   I have looked at: CS138327 (returns an enumeration list but I don't see a way to relate attribute2 to attribute1's value) CS226468 (only returns a string, so unable to create a pull down list)   I have tried using a ComboBox and the addJsAction method but it looks like this will not work in 11.1. Any ideas on how one would go about implementing this in 11.1?   Thanks for your time.Troy
