I want to be able to get person completing a work item.  Is there a way to find all of the work items attached to a 'Change Task' under the Change Mgmt domain?  I want to be able to do this with the Odata Rest API. Thanks

Apologies in advance if I have posted this in the wrong section. I am fairly new to PTC and do not seem to be able to find this information anywhere.    We are thinking of installing the latest Dynatrace v7 to monitor Windchill and Thinworx environments to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues. What I am struggling to learn if we need to purchase separate licences for each FastPack or are they included? We also have Windchill and Thingworx installed both in production and pre-production on separate LANs so was wondering if we need a separate licence for each LAN?I was also curious if this can monitor non PTC products? (i.e. 2016 servers for basic compute issues)  

Hi   Hope someone can assist.   Our customer is making use of the Import function to change attribute values of existing WTParts.   They did a spreadsheet import which contains 43047 parts. The whole validation/import took about 54 hours to complete.   They would like to know if there is anything that they can do to speed up this process since this is a very long time for them to not be able to work/downtime?   I cannot find anything on eSupport... or I am just not using the correct keywords and that is perhaps why I am not getting a solution?   Thank you in advance.

Hi All,   We are migrating WTDocument without using WBM to Windchill 11 system.   We have now added some extra attributes (soft attributes) to the WTDocument and then we are trying to migrate the same WTDocument once again. Can anyone suggest me like how would I be migrating it ?    Is it using LoadFromFIle or should I be developing a utility for the same. If yes can anyone share me some code snippet for the same. We are having a discussion about named users and how many licenses we need for each person. We have 3 Windchill systems for different criteria. All running Windchill 11.0 m030 and various CPSs. As we plan for the next upgrade to WIndchill12.0 with Creo 7, and Windchill 12.0  seems to be not allowed directly from 11.0, so we will drop back and go to 11.2 first, then Creo 7, then WIndchill12.0.   Is a named user per Windchill system or just a named person within a company? A single person cannot be using multiple systems at the same time, so 1 license would be in use, no matter which Windchill system the user was logged in to. If I need 3 Windchill licenses for my user accounts on 3 systems, that is a big expense. If I only need 1 license, that is a more bearable expense.   I have seen the licensing HUB webpage and it still leaves me confused. Does someone have a definitive answer to how many licenses I will need for 1 user on 3 separate Windchill systems?

Dear Everyone,   Hope you are good I applied Pre Operation Hook for PRE_CHECKIN event and build the example java file UwgmC11nEventListenerTest and class file created in <WT_HOME>/codebase\com\ptc\windchill\uwgm\proesrv\c11n location.   But there's no log recorded in method server where checked in the WTPart or EPMDocument.   Can you help to validate the listener service.   Thanks in advance.

For Windchill Documents, how do people usually handle naming/numbering (Number, Name, Primary Content File Name) with Windchill Documents?   Is it possible to drive the Primary Content File Name from the Number and/or Name of the Document? Is keeping these in sync worth worrying about? Thoughts on using smart Numbering like TR00001 for Type = Test Reports? The default Document Numbering (ex: 0000000001) seems like it would create questions like is this also Document 1?. Also, Excel like to strip of leading zeros. Other lessons learned or best practices?

At our company, we have a good number of Worker Agents (OOTB & Custom) for different Object types. We would like to if PSM has the ability to monitor Worker Agents and report the data on number of failed & completed jobs this functionality will be very useful to monitor the Workers

Hi all In WC, importable has a special meaning when you export an importable spreadsheet. But when you search the community, importable gets stemmed so you get lots of results for import and imported. Maybe importable is somewhere in the posts, but I cannot see it. I think your Solr admins would be able to protect the word, maybe using synonyms. Maybe I should go back and read the manual instead of depending on searches. thanks Rick

Is there a way to use an attribute that is set on the context to drive an attribute for the objects within that context when they are created?   Something like assigning a "code" to the product, and make the attribute for a CR/CN/PR/Variance/DR etc match that same code

I have a soft type of part that is representing a Material. We then have a configurable link connecting the part and the material. We have an Alias Attribute that shows the materials that are linked to the part on a Structure view. Issue is the value that is displayed is the object's identity which is in the format <number>, <name>, <organization> I only want to see the name, but still want the hyperlink to the object.   Is it possible for a soft-type

As a product development company we often want to kick off the supply chain early in the design process to ensure long lead items arrive on time.  Additionally it helps to stagger the procurement process while designs are incrementally matured and released.  As a result the BOM structure is very dynamic as the design and project develops.  The CAD top level assembly is always treated as the truth source.  Are there any recommendations on maintaining a BOM that stays aligned with the CAD, but also allows for unique tagging of parts that are ready for procurement?  Unique is the key as a part could be used on multiple projects, but we only want to track the procurement status on a single project.  In many instances this is referred to as an Advanced BOM.     We do have MPMLink and have experimented with using a BOM transformation.  Any recommendations or best practices on how to handle this situation are appreciated!

For members of this forum that have a vested interest in the Windchill Workgroup Manager (WWGM), I wanted to bring to your attention a recent change to how we will be delivering  a Critical Patch Set (CPS) going forward.  Starting with Windchill 11.1 M020 CPS12 (scheduled for release on April 8, 2020),  the Windchill Workgroup Manager client CPS content will be packaged as a separate downloadable from the general Windchill CPS download.  This revised approach should improve the accessibility to the WWGM CPS updates and is better aligned with our flexible CPS support policy between Windchill server and the workgroup manager client.  For information on this CPS packaging change, the technical support article CS242516 has been made available.

Hello  I am currently using Windchill risk and reliability (11.1) for my prediction MTBF calculation. Please see attached file for my setting.   here is what I did . in my system file I created one part under child assembly with fix FIT data and used (217Plus 2015 Parts Count N1 and 217Plus 2006 Parts Count ) same environment, but only 217Plus 2006 Parts Count changed Failure Rate prediction when changed temperature, but not  217Plus 2015 Parts Count N1.       Please help me out

Attached here are updated jsp files. I updated using info posted by daraki in response to my original post. It makes the code more generically applicable, i.e. I removed some hardcoded content and now read that info from the Windchill properties.

Does anyone know a way to easily identify which CAD objects have markups associated with them?  Sure, we can go one by one through each object's details page and look at the content tab, but it would be really helpful to know whether or not something has markups from a folder view or a table (like the list of promotion objects.)  Any suggestions?
