Hi, I have to develop a Windchill Rest API that needs to take OAuth 2.0 authentication type. Can we create OAuth accounts in Windchill server?. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I`m working with a lot of pipe spools on my company and we are migrating models from SE to CREO and starting working with all PTC programs (CREO and WIndchill). My question/issue is, when creating .asm of pipe spools (with spec driven or with non spec driven) I had all my structture correctly arranged on Windchill with all my WT parts for each part, but I have no clear info for the line stocks of the pipes and their quantities of length...Is there an option to include the line stock (name) in the Windchill structure, like having a WT part associated to a Line stock?Also, how do you manage that? You associate the parameters of the CAD pipes like line stock and length to attributes to the WT parts and have the info there to supply chain to bought the quantity for each part? Is there an automatic way to sum up the quantities for same line stock in a same .asm in the Windchill structure? Thanks in advance

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I want to identify when a document in Windchill is created using the Insert New option and store that information in an attribute. Later, when a usage link is created for that document, it should detect this attribute and update some related values automatically. Basically, I want to differentiate between Insert New and Insert Existing actions for documents.Description: I am trying to capture the event when a document is created using the Insert New action inside the structure tab.However, Windchill doesn’t provide a direct event to distinguish between Insert New and Insert Existing actions.So, how can I achieve this: when a user creates a document using Insert New, attributes such as Customer Number, Project Number, etc. (which exist in both the parent and child) should automatically get updated from the parent.If the document is created using Insert Existing, the attribute values should not be updated.

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: The problem is that the converted drawing takes up too much space on the server.Description: Hello, I'm currently experiencing a server overflow issue. After checking the database and server, I believe the issue is due to the large number of drawings being checked in or created by new rendering tasks. I haven't been deleting these unnecessary drawings, so I think there are too many. There are 34 million data items in the Vault, making backup and recovery difficult. Does anyone know of a way to resolve or somewhat alleviate this situation? Thank you

We are starting to use arbortext with our Windchill system (version 8.3 and 12.1.10) and there some odd behaviors. Initially, when I open the application and try to check an object into the server I get this error:The autonumbering feature should be enabled for "WCTYPE|wt.epm.EPMDocument|com.acme.us.DynamicDocument" soft type  It does that for any PRODUCT context or Library. Build a report to export the latest revision and iteration of a specific view.Description: We work with Manufacturing Views and I try to have a report able to get the document related to a dedicated View. I.E. I am making requests to /Windchill/servlet/odata/v4/DynamicDocMgmt/DynamicDocuments and need to interact with potentially thousands of documents. What we have found is the $top parameter doesn't override the server's page size limit. I also tried a header odata.maxpagesize=1000 but that didnt help either. Any ideas on how to adjust the number of results returned from the API?

I have requirement to search object using queryspec which can have number with leading zero(to make it 8 digit length) or without leading zeros.e.g. I am to search object number 66, query should be able to find object 66, 066, 0066 etc. I got regular expression to search( ^0*66$ ) need to know how to use in queryspec.

Hello all, I want to validate a specific IBA on Change Request creation. This IBA is multi-valued and has enumerated values, let's say A, B, C, and D. So, when the user selects A and B both at a time, it should give an error. All other combinations should work fine except this A and B both together... All of the documentation I've read points to configurable products in Creo as the modeling mechanism. NX has similar functionality with PTS. Has anyone here gone the route of setting up Options with NX? Description: We're using NX for CAD and are looking at Options as a means of managing configurations for products. I don't see documentation on how Options would work from a modeling standpoint with NX (in Creo, configurable parts are used). Has anyone gone down this path?
