I would like to know if its possible to call custom javascript when wizard page is getting closed either on the close button or window close? Please help me how to do that?Thanks in advance.

When I connected the common space ,add a part to workspace .The error happend .And I can not connect the workspace ,and can not connect common space  ,too. Please refer the below issue pic :      

Is there a way to use an attribute that is set on the context to drive an attribute for the objects within that context when they are created?   Something like assigning a "code" to the product, and make the attribute for a CR/CN/PR/Variance/DR etc match that same code

I have a soft type of part that is representing a Material. We then have a configurable link connecting the part and the material. We have an Alias Attribute that shows the materials that are linked to the part on a Structure view. Issue is the value that is displayed is the object's identity which is in the format <number>, <name>, <organization> I only want to see the name, but still want the hyperlink to the object.   Is it possible for a soft-type

As a product development company we often want to kick off the supply chain early in the design process to ensure long lead items arrive on time.  Additionally it helps to stagger the procurement process while designs are incrementally matured and released.  As a result the BOM structure is very dynamic as the design and project develops.  The CAD top level assembly is always treated as the truth source.  Are there any recommendations on maintaining a BOM that stays aligned with the CAD, but also allows for unique tagging of parts that are ready for procurement?  Unique is the key as a part could be used on multiple projects, but we only want to track the procurement status on a single project.  In many instances this is referred to as an Advanced BOM.     We do have MPMLink and have experimented with using a BOM transformation.  Any recommendations or best practices on how to handle this situation are appreciated!

For members of this forum that have a vested interest in the Windchill Workgroup Manager (WWGM), I wanted to bring to your attention a recent change to how we will be delivering  a Critical Patch Set (CPS) going forward.  Starting with Windchill 11.1 M020 CPS12 (scheduled for release on April 8, 2020),  the Windchill Workgroup Manager client CPS content will be packaged as a separate downloadable from the general Windchill CPS download.  This revised approach should improve the accessibility to the WWGM CPS updates and is better aligned with our flexible CPS support policy between Windchill server and the workgroup manager client.  For information on this CPS packaging change, the technical support article CS242516 has been made available.

Hello  I am currently using Windchill risk and reliability (11.1) for my prediction MTBF calculation. Please see attached file for my setting.   here is what I did . in my system file I created one part under child assembly with fix FIT data and used (217Plus 2015 Parts Count N1 and 217Plus 2006 Parts Count ) same environment, but only 217Plus 2006 Parts Count changed Failure Rate prediction when changed temperature, but not  217Plus 2015 Parts Count N1.       Please help me out  

Hi, I am creating custom domain Reporting as explained in WRS1.5 document. But when I call metadata get request on this domain, Error message Delegate not valid entity type and selector  logged in method server. Kindly help to resolve the error.   Thanks in Advance.

Attached here are updated jsp files. I updated using info posted by daraki in response to my original post. It makes the code more generically applicable, i.e. I removed some hardcoded content and now read that info from the Windchill properties.

Does anyone know a way to easily identify which CAD objects have markups associated with them?  Sure, we can go one by one through each object's details page and look at the content tab, but it would be really helpful to know whether or not something has markups from a folder view or a table (like the list of promotion objects.)  Any suggestions?

I am running Windchill 10.1 and am having an issue with a Promotion Request stalling between the "Set State to Under Review" and the "Approve Promotion Request" task.  My user completed their task and sent it off to 2 approvers but it never made it to that step.  From the queue it looks like I am getting a Entry failed due to database rollback.  The items in the promotion objects are 2 WTParts and 1 WTDocument.  What is WIndchill trying to tel me the issue is?  We have not made any changes to the OOTB workflows.

Hello, The client has a need to default the notification sender email address for all notifications being sent from Windchill. To enable this I have made the following changes: 1. Added wt.workflow.work.UseDefaultNotificationSenderEmail = true 2. Changed <ie:param name="FROM" data="senderEmail@client.com" default="<%=DEFAULT_FROM%>"/> in <WT_HOME>\tasks\wt\mail\Sendmail.xml   I wanted to check what is the best practice to customize Sendmail.xml file? With the COVID-19 virus situation, we want to allow our engineers to work from home with Creo and Windchill.   We have a small number, around 10 who are experimenting with working from home and are running into an error when trying to upload / check in Creo files from a workspace.  Especially larger files, they are all getting a "HTTP Upload Failed" error. Checking on the PTC Tech Support site, there is an article  (CS249369) that addresses this, but says it is an issue with the network setup. My question is, has anyone had experience with successfully setting up Creo and Windchill to work over VPN?   If so, what did you do to get it to work?

I am having issues linking my workspace and can not get parts to open from windchill. Hi.I defined afterVK validator for my wizard step (extends DefaultUIComponentValidator).I have 2 questions i cann't find answers for in customization guide.1) Validator works in both ways (Back and Next). I need it to work only when moving forward. How to disable it for "Back" button?2) If i have an error while validation process, i show it at pop-up window by specifying UIValidationFeedbackMsg for UIValidationResult. How should i define UIValidationResult to disable pop-up if a i have no error. I have no error - i don't want show anything for user. But now pop-up window with NULL message arises.Thanks.

So, here I was at a new company 13 years ago with one job, setup PDMLink and get everyone using it. It was tough enough teaching the users a new system but on top of the latest CAD features, we had to teach them how to associate their CAD models to a WTPart. Owner is the default, there is contributing content and blah blah blah...just read this presentation Best Practices for Creating and Manging CAD-Centric Product Structure in PDMLink 9.1.   Which one do you use? I wanted to ensure that WTParts were created and linked to the CAD model. This would ensure that when someone used that cad model, it would be reflected on that assembly's BOM for its WTPart. Users would have to choose what type of association they wanted ahead of time before check in or via Auto-Associate. Not happening.  Users are creatures of habit. Hi,   Please assist.   All PTC documentation state that you can create visualizations for manufacturing resources by using Creo View.   But how exactly do I go about it.   I have created a Jig (Tool) which I would like to represent in my Operation.   The only way that I can think of getting a representation is by associating a CAD part or assembly?   Does post-publishing come into play here?   Appreciate you assistance.   Thank you.

Hi all,   We have a group of people that have recently left the company. Therefore, I ran the Search for Disconnected Participant and Delete from Windchill.   The issue I have is that, some of these users started workflows. When you reassign a workflow to another user, it always comes back to the process initiator. However, the initiator does not exist. Is there a way to change the Process Initiator or reassign the task permanently?   Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,   I have a content holder with two revisions, let say revision A and B. I applied on both revisions a service effectivity. Revision A is valid from 01-01-2020 till 31-03-2020. Revision B is open ended and starts on 01-04-2020.   I want to apply an service effectivity filter on an Information Structure that contains the content holder.  The result of filter must be that it shows revision A when the service effectivity is between 01-01-2020 and 31-03-2020 and show B when date is 01-04-2020 or later.   The result I get on the moment is that it only shows revision B when the applied service effectivity date is 01-04-2020 or later and the content holder is removed from the structure when the date is before 01-04-2020. It's not showing revision A.   Is it possible and if so how?
