Windchill

Hi, I am trying to install Thingworx for Navigate.I have installed PostGre SQL database 9.4.11 and Apache Tomcat 8.5. I have done the configurations as per the Thingworx installation guide.I have created ThingworxPlatform folder and placed the json file in it mentioning the license details.Later I created the ThingworxStorage folder and ThingworxBackupStorage folder. When I try to launch the Thingworx, its not getting launched showing the attached snap. No content is created in ThingworxStorage folder.I re-deployed Thingworx.war file but that hasn't helped.Still the ThingworxStorage folder remains empty.If anyone has faced same kind of issue, please do help me out here. To all Admins,I guess I have just reached a frustration level that I never experienced in my professional carrer with attempting to decode all of templates, processes, coding, JAVA, IBAs, attribute management, queue management, and the 100 other things that are trying to keep this system up and running. I truly feel that this was a plot by PTC management to purposefully make eveything so complex and complicated, and keep all the tricks to themselves on how to debug, fix, or customize anything in the system. Im sorry but I am not a JAVA programmer. I am an engineer who has worked in research and development for 20 years, then decided to try my hand at the admin role simply because I enjoyed helping people do and understand what I used to do. If I had time, I would write a Windchill for DUMMIES manual that explained things in laymans terms, not in 10 seperate manuals that are 400 pages thick. I have inquired into the training that tech support is provided, and PTC says, "It is not public

All,I have a query builder report where I'm entering a child componet number and it's returning a where used list. The issue I'm having is that it returning where used for all revisions / latest iterationforthe child part. It's also returning all revisions of the parents that have usages as well. I'm looking for a way to do a where used on the latest revision / iteration of a child part and return only the latest revision / iteration of the parents. Doesn't anyone have some suggestions on how to get this type of information?I'm also looking for a multi-level where used report that shows the child, it's parents, grandparents, ..... all the way to the top level. The documentation for Windchill 11.0 and 11.1 both state Office 365 with local installation is supported.  But when 365 is in the cloud it is not supported.   Can anyone from PTC, or anyone else, state whether Office 365 in the cloud will be supported at some point?  What are the plans?

Hi,   I am using Windchill 11.0 M030. I had not installed CPS initially. I downloaded the CPS09 and tried to update Windchill. After running the setup file for update, I am unable to install the Critical patch set since the radio button is disabled. What should be done?

So I built a notification loop in the promotion request workflow to daily remind the assigned individual that they have an open task.  Can anyone offer suggestions on how to retrieve the active task name and corresponding hyperlink so I can include them in the email robot's message text?  The email template for tasks already includes this information but the email template the robot uses is different and does not include this information since it's not tied to a particular task.  How do I retrieve that information?  Thanks.   - Email message for green boxes should be very similar, if not identical.

This problem is only when trying to open Creo files from a standalone browser, this case Internet Explorer.  Opening files from the Windchill embedded browser works fine.  After removing the highly customized config.pro from the picture, was able to get a Script Error to come up. Trying to clear these errors with "yes" doesn't seem to work. Creo never launches. Anyone know if the Windchill Workgroup Manager is a separate purchase from PTC or is it included with your general purchase of Windchill 11.1? It's not available in my software downloads list?

After how many days of not opening the server because we re-arrange our office, now I cannot log on windchill and it prompt me in the browser "Service Temporarily Unavailable" The server is temporarily unabel to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. I was running both 10.2 and 11.0 PTC WQS.   purchased a new laptop and has windows 10.  I installed PTC 11.0 team edition M040 WQS only.    Everything seems to load and operate but when I launch a project I get this error:  ptc windchill quality solutions\11\en\relex.en.rfl not found.  Not sure what it does and how to correct it.. any ideas?

Dear All, This is a question which is unanswered from a long time / I haven't been able to identify the solution. Can anyone with past experience in your workplace tell me during auditing, how does PTC count licenses in Windchill PDMLink?  1. Will it count the actual number of active users versus the purchased licenses? OR 2. Will it count against the number of users created from day when Windchill PDMLink was installed (which includes deleted users + active users as well)?   If there is any documentation available regarding this which would at least take me near to the answer for my query would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just looking what is required to put this thing into over drive (like if I had to republish large context)?  I have three workers on single PC running (mapped via virtual hostnames) and am getting a rate of 254/hour. I know that workers check 1 then 2 then 3 so number of jobs trail off. Adding more workers does not increase throughput beyond a certain point since the higher workers never get jobs sometimes.  What are your rates? Have you setup configuration to handle a very large load in some cases?  What is my limiting factor here?   Other details - Linux, monolithic server and Windows CAD worker.

Hello,    In my company's ECR and ECN workflow for the CRB and CIB reviews I have added four people to it. Right now i have it set to where each person has to choose an option before it moves on in the workflow. The only problem is if three out of the four people say approve it moves on in the workflow. Is there someway or somewhere that I can change that function so that everyone has to choose an option and they all have to approve it otherwise it goes back to be clarified amended etc.

Hi Developers,   I'm working on PTC Navigate 1.5.0 and Thingworx 8.0.1   I'm having issues similar to this article. The rest.properties file also seem to be proper as mentioned in the article. The configurations on the "ptc-windchill-integration-connector"are as shown in the image   I have observed the following in my composer:  "ValidateConnection" service is giving "Success:200-OK" "GetEndpointList" service is giving the below error   Unable to Invoke Service GetEndpointList on ptc-windchill-integration-connector : Your route exchange has failed. HTTP operation failed calling [http://<IP>/Windchill/servlet/rest/swagger.json] with status [404 - 404]       3. When i tried loading the below URL i got HTTP Error 404 page not found. http://<IP>/Windchill/servlet/rest/swagger.json   I have tried reinstalling the patch twice and it was not helping. But, when I read the DataSource in the WS task , it's always null. Who have idea how to fix such issue? Is there a full sample for created SOAP WS with attachment?   Thank you.

When using any app (Example: View Drawing) when launched, the system takes you to the search page. How do I get the cursor to automatically be in the search bar. I want users to be able to start typing right away when they see the search bar, no need to click in it before typing.  Not a coder, but I believe this is something to do with autofocus?

Hello my company uses Solidworks with Windchill and Creo View. When I open a Solidworks drawing in Creo View it publishes it as a .pdf and when I try to do a markup it doesn't allow me to use the markup tab. Does anyone know of a way that I can fix this or use the markup tab with the Solidworks drawings?

Good day   Issue 1   When you insert let’s say component A in the Parts List Structure the viewable does not generate.   Issue 2   When you insert component B the viewable shows the rest of the components but not component B     This is completely random components and we can’t figure out why.
