i created an epm document through java api, and i want to assign a family table status to it, i want it to be a generic type. I used this " .setFamilyTableStatus() " method but its giving an error saying "Family Table Validations Failed".

Hello guys, I need your help to understand the difference between  Java API difference between two windchill Version 10.2 and 11.0.   As I have code (windchill 11.0)for the reading structure of epmdocument, I want to know is same will work with 10.2? Thanks in advance.

Hi Developers,   I'm working on ThingWorx 8.0.1 with Navigate View 1.5.0. I was able to perform basic RESTOperations such as fetching a NONCE Token from a Service, Creating a part,....   I had to use the URI's that were exposed from windchill for these services. I'm a novice in REST services if there is any document or tutorials which give step by step procedure to create RESTful web services in Windchill side and use the same in Thingworx it would be helpful.   Thanks and Regards, Saran

Hi there, First of all, I am not quite sure if this is an Creo or an Windchilll issue.   After upgrading from Windchill 10.2 to 11.1 there is a little grey box within the preview of the part (embedded browser). It also does not seem to depend on the version of installed Creo, because this effect is visible from Creo 3 to Creo 5 (also tested on several machines).   The same page works perfect in Firefox, Chrome and even Internet Explorer.     Thanks in advance.  

I ran a custom updated scripts to add notes to parts. This left the WTPart is a checked out state, about 11K parts now are on my checked out objects table. Yes, I could have improved the script to check them in automatically but here we are.  How can I get them all checked in? You cannot do it from the checked out objects table, there is only undo-check out mass action.   Solution was to use a search results, querying on Parts checked out to me. From that table, there is a Edit multiple objects mass action. You can do them in batches from the popup UI and check them all in.

WHen running a report created using Query Builder it seems to take a long time to display the results.   When searching by "Reportable Item" attributes in WC11.0, I would like to know if I can change the order of the attributes and operators to run the report faster.  For example, If I search by cad part first, and other attributes later will the report run faster?  Vice versa?    Or is there a way to run the report as a fast index search?   Any other advice on how to get report results to search and display faster?

how do i file over modified workspace files with files from windchill cabinets? add objects? checkout/ with "reuse content" unchecked?  I know I've done this before but I can't seem to get the right combo...

Stumped on this one. It maybe a CSS issue or something in the TableBuilder.  I have created custom tables which look great but the last column seems to scroll off page forever. Something is controlling that to where I cannot shrink last column to fit on page and wrap.  I have two system, one where it works and other where it was causing me problems.   This is what I want. Columns can be expanded by user. This is what I get where last column goes off right forever and I cannot drag back. I do not even get corner menu to change wrapping. Since columns are huge, it does not wrap correctly and gets cut off on printout.    I suspect this is a CSS setting or something in the table builder. Any ideas?

Hello all, In Windchill Quality Solutions 11 the audit trail can be enabled by going to the file properties of the project. Except in our case the "enable audit trail" option is greyed out and can not be enabled. Appreciate any comments on this.

I am working on an inplace upgrade from Windchill 10.0 m040 to Windchill 11.0 m030, and Oracle from 11g to 12c. I have taken my production data and rehosted it to my test servers and verified that it runs. There are no WinDU errors but some potential problems that I am working through simultaneously. I have done the import of Oracle into 12c with no errors. I have done the import of the LDAP into Windchill DS for 11.0, overridding the OOTB box data. When I run Upgrade Manager, it gets to the Verify Supported Upgrade Path step and runs for a few minutes and then fails. The failed messages is: Missing Configuration branch: The configuration branch on the target directory server appears to be missing. I do have a configuration brnach under WC10 node under o=ptc. I had to create the o=usec before doing my import from the WC10 export. Any pointers as to how to correct this?

Hi, I work for the Customer that have in local team User defined Group that updates daily (security reasons). From what I noticed not having Members as listed Users causing some deficiency in tool performance e.g. they cannot use discusion. What other limitation can I expect in this scenarion? Can you suggest some solutions please.

Hi   Trying to install Navigate 1.6. When accessing ThingWorx with the configuration so far, request the user certificate to Windchill and proceed to LandingPageAccessAppMashup. However, the design data can not be loaded. I installed Windchill in a state where HTTPS configuration was not completed. The guide says that Windchill's SSL (understood as HTTPS configuration) configuration is essential for Navigate installation. Therefore, we configured Windchill as HTTPS with a self-signed certificate for resolution. I then reset the ptc-windchill-intergraion-connector. Previously, we set the base URL to http: // <hostID> / Windchill. At that time, ValidateConnection returned success. I changed it to https: // <hostID> / Windchill / sslClientAuth when I set it up newly. We also added the ssl keystore path and password to ptc-winndchill-intergration-connector-proxy. The path is <PTC_Windchill> / java / lib / security / cacerts. However, ValidateConnetion returns a failu

Hello, I have a problem with multiple revision change on pdf files. The point is that I need to massively increase the revision for certain documents, but I do not know how it is because when selecting files I can't have a review button Is there any way to bulk up the bulk document revision? I have administrator permissions. Screenshots are an attachments.   Thank you for help!  

Greetings, We have a situation where we have a bunch of WTParts, but no WTDocuments that pair with them.  We also have loads of JPG photos of these objects.  There's a desire to load these photos into the WTPart somehow and create a viewable, and not create a WTDocument.  I'm not certain this is possible.  We clearly can make a WTDocument, associate it and see that viewable, but management wants to avoid the work time of creating these objects. Any ideas how this could be done without a WTDocument?  TIA, JamesWindchill 11.0 M030 CPS09WGM 11.0 M030Inventor Pro 2017Windows 10

Anyone know how to hide or remove this? At Submit CR, the Participants tab only shows the Roles that are in the change team and they can only see the roles that are displayed in the workflow task. I do not use "guest" in the workflow. But, if someone selects the Change Request and then the Process tab, they can see the Add Members icon. Once selected, Guest is listed as an option?   Guest is a Role in the Context Team (and can't be removed). As you can see, the Guest role is not displayed on the Set Up Participants action.

Hi All, I am trying to display the WTPart Icon as per certain criteria, for example, OOTB WTPart Icon will display if the Lifecyle state of that object is in In-Work, but when it get changed to released state, i want to change the display icon as well, now i want to show green color icon for that released object.   Kindly share your thoughts.   Regards, Vivek    

We are on WC 10.1 M040 CREO 2.0 M080, some are onother previous buildsThis has caused work loss here recently to @ 6 users so far, these are the symptoms and corrective action to reactivate:symptoms:1- Pro/e will report saved successfully in the message log2- upon checking the workspace, there is no + to display the modification/save has happened3- open the Event Manager, there is no save recorded, check-in or upload4- in the top of the workspace browser, Primary Active Workspace, it will display inactive, the pull down to Activate will not Activate the workspace5- the server is still registered and onlineTo correct the inactivated Workspace:1- in the workspace browser, select the "Browse"2- go to the product and expand to show workspaces3- here you will notice that no WS are active4- if you try to activate your WS here it won't activate until you activate another WS then reactivate the original WS5- go to your workspace and notice the modifications are now present and the event manage

In IE, Chrome & FireFox browsers all users are unable to view results when they switch from one table view to the next. For example: 'Open' view vs 'Reassigned' view. Within 'open' view there are numerous tasks displayed, when the user switches the view to 'reassigned' view the results are blank (there should be at least 4 tasks displaying). When the user refreshes the screen (F5) approx. 4 times the new list will finally appear. Note: The table views were working the day before. Any ideas as to what would have changed to cause this issue (browser, WC, network, server, java)?

Hi. I need to make some changes to WfAssignedActivity. The code runs from a separate thread (SessionThread) that starts in "Start" transition of activity. I get exception "wt.pom.ObjectNotPersistentException: Object "wt.workflow.work.WfAssignedActivity:39876147" is not a persistent" when i try to save changes with PersistenceHelper.manager.save() method. If i try to PersistenceHelper.manager.refresh so i get exception "Cannot restore Wf Assigned Activity because it no longer exists."   But if i suspend my thread for example for 2 minutes with Thread.sleep() method, after that PersistenceHelper.manager.save works fine (and PersistenceHelper.manager.refresh as well). So how can i check that assigned activity is available for PersistenceHelper.manager methods?
