Hi    i started approval promotion request and windchill send email to aprrover or reviewer   Can I change the address for windchill to send this email?How do I change it?Do I need to configure and change SMTP?It seems to be the email address I registered at the time of installation or the email address of the site administrator.If I do not configure SMTP on Windchill, will not my notifications be sent? Thank you.   I do not have enough explanation, so let me add one more.Can I change the email address for system notifications I entered when I installed Windchill?[Assuming you have configured SMTP]How do I change it?

I am using Windchill 11 when I was trying to open a file it was downloading but it cannot be opened by Creo 4.0, when I check Event Management of my Windchill server it is showing download suceeded but in status bar of creo shows model cannot be retrieved, but the same model can be retrieved from PDMLink server. Can anyone suggest me a right solution.

Hi all, I'm working on a POC where I'm using PTC Navigate(1.5.1). Similar to 'View Document' ootb app in the Landing Page, I'm developing an app 'View Issue Document' app where the user can see only the Issue Documents(a sub-type of wtDocument). I am able to get only the Issue docs to be displayed  but I can't download its primary content. Can the ootb app (View Document) configured to see only the subtype of wtDocument? Hello   My company will be integrated with anthor compnay to work in the same project    We are using soldworks with EPDM and they are using Creo with Windchill.   my question is , can windchill mange the data for both solidworks and Creo in the same time? so we can still us SW and they can keep using Creo and both of us use windchill for the same project ?   is there any way to convert the data from SW to Creo and the way from Creo to SW ?   Thanks     

Greetings, I have used Project to organize project documents, requirements and testing documents around Windchill PDMLink deployment and upgrades. The problem is that now these documents should be revised and that does not seem to be an option in Project.   Question. Is it worth the effort to "Send to PDM" so they can be revised know that it will leave a copy on the PDM side? Or, Should I just Export all the documents, Import them into a new Library and then renumber them back to the original numbers created in Project (as the numbers are referenced all over these documents).       https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill-Ideas/Revise-Documents-in-Project-Link/idi-p/488599  

I've been going thru the various posts here to try to find a solution to a question I have that seems like it should be simple to do (or at least obviously possible in the workflows). But I've been unsuccessful so far.  We have a Change Request flow that classifies the type of change, defines the impact of the change (low, medium, high) and based on that impact selects an approver list. Those three pieces of data need to get passed to the Change Notice flow where they are used for notifications and other activities.    I created a new attribute in the Change Request that is my classification attribute and I can pull that into the Change Request workflow to be used/consumed there using this bit code here. That works fine. What doesn't work is trying to pass that to the Change Notice flow.  I came across this and tried creating an Alias attribute in the Change Notice. Hello, I am could use some plain english step by step instructions to add and attribute to our CAD Document Type.  I want to add one called UOM.  UOM will be a string.  I need to know how to add this to our Creo Start Part that it can be edited from Windchill or Creo.  Just a plane string attritbute/parameter that I can see in Creo and Winchill.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I've been trying to setup the Change workflows so that the Change Notice Task assignee and reviewer would receive an email notification - and only them instead of everyone in the same context team role - once the Audit Change Notice is completed, but apparently it's not enough just to add the "Assignee" role in the Change Notice Workflow step "Change Notice Complete Notification". Is it even possible as Change Activity Workflow is a separate one? We have slightly modified workflows and Teams and maybe the answer lies there, but I'm not too familiar with these yet. However, adding the role Assignee to relevant change Teams didn't help. We're on 10.2.   Any ideas appreciated.

Good morning, gurus!   I have an Or conditional in a workflow.  If evaluated once to loop back through, things are triggered fine, workflow is looped back.  If the or evaluates to loop through a second time, the workflow stalls.  No errors, nothing to show what happened.  I'm assuming there is a basic something I'm missing here (I do see that the wf detects there is a multiple routing of this branch, so maybe that?   I appreciate the help.   Brian Krieger   PS:  Even if the Or condition is simply hardwired as:   try { System.out.println("**PR Manager **Checking for Empty Key Roles**");  boolean continueOn = false; if(continueOn){  result="SetupComplete"; } else{  result="NotifyEmptyApr"; } }catch (Exception e) {  System.out.println("**PR Manager **Unkown Exception**");  result="NotifyEmptyApr";}   In this case, the "NotifyEmptyApr" branch would be executed.  Will

Ever since upgrading to Windchill  11.0 I have issues with saving reports in report management.  I get an Error pop up box.  I'm on Windchill 11.0 m030 CSP01.  Has anyone else had issues?  Solutions?  I am working with tech support but am hoping someone else has already gone through this.  

Hi   Has anyone successfully installed Navigate 1.5 without PingFederate SSO? All documentation I found includes the steps to configure PingFederate configuration for SSO. As I am trying this on Dev server, I am trying to skip the SSO.   When I test the services on ptc-windchill-demo thing, I get the results. But when I access the apps that use the same service, no results are showing up. I also tried the REST URL generated in Runtime Integration window when we use the app. That  gives the results when accessed in stand alone browser.   Does Navigate 1.5 without SSO?   Thanks Mahesh

Hello all, I am new to the community and unfamiliar with administering WindChill..   I work for an international company that hosts its WindChill server across the pond. Each of the user installs that we are pushing out defaults to having its cache hosted on a local fikle server. Which wasn't really an issue until several of my users went to travel internationally and when they went to kick off WGM, having to access a cache on a local US share, while in Europe which is now causing some latency problems. That said, is there a good method for updating where items are cached (i.e. on the local disk as opposed to a share) after we have already installed WGM on the user's machine?

We have built Windchill on Window 2012 R2. When i create a new user, a new tab and a blank page popup window are created at the same time. In Google, you have set "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for Built-in Administrator Account" to "Enabled" in Local Policy in Administrative Tools in Control Panel. However, if i do, the http server and windchill Method server will not work. I tried clicking on it to grant administrator rights but could not find Take Ownership.How do I fix it?   thank  

How do I configure a participant when making a promotion request?Do you assign role members to the resource pool for all workflow activities?

We have a materials library in Creo that goes to our Windchill App server directory but the contents of this folder are not inside a Windchill library if that makes any sense, its more like a local library thats shared. Creo users can get to it. Now, we also have a materials library in Windchill, the problem is, I cannot upload my Creo materials library objects, into the Windchill Library, when I try to do so it says the file is not unique. When I try to find the file in Windchill it does not exist. How do I work around this?

If you check in to windchill, there is a problem with visualization as follows. There is no problem with other CAD data.   Opened in Creo View, it is not visualized some. In Creo, everything is well displayed. What's the problem?In addition, I am using the 4.1 adapter and the option in the recipe editor is not selected. thank
