Hi,On a few Windows 10 machines in our company PTC Arbortex IsoDraw 7.3 M090 Build 7 crashes on application startup. The app starts and as soon as the empty untilted project tries to be opened, IsoDraw immediately closes without any further error message. On other similar windows machines, IsoDraw starts just fine.Are there some log files we can have a look at (where are they located) and how do I contact the official support, since we pay licensing for this IsoDraw software?

I'm adding a callback on the Save option in the Arbortext Editor menu.The callback works perfectly but I don't know how to prevent the save from being made in a particular case.Here is my addition of the callback :   doc_add_callback(current_doc(), 'save', 'triggerSaveDocument');   Here is my implementation of that callback :   function triggerSaveDocument(doc, op){ local isValidDocument = callComparaison(); if(!$isValidDocument){ #I need here to prevent the save process of being made. return 0; } }    I tried return 0;  but that didn't work.Do you know how to bypass the saving ?Thanks for your time.

Currently using ISODraw CADprocess 7.4.0.0, There is no options to UNDO or REDO.Can you please help to get resolve this issue. 

I read the APTCUSTOM value using local tmpPath = $main::ENV['APTCUSTOM'];If I look at the string showing it with response($tmpPath); it works well but when I pass that value to a js function, inside that function the string is unreadable and therefore I cannot construct a path with it.What to do in order to pass what response popup shows ?  

Hi together, we would like send some elements as string to an external .exe Tool, and want to get the result as a return value back in acl. So we need a interaction between acl and the external exe.Do you have an idea how we can do this via ACL? We know the "sh" command, which starts the exe, but we cannot get a return value from this.Best regards

Currently we have an acl script that adds the username to any comments that are inserted. There has been a request to add the date. Is there a way to only have the date? We are having issues with poor hyphenation placement for translated languages. I have found this https://support.ptc.com/help/arbortext/r8.1.2.0/en/index.html#page/styler%2Fstyler%2Fhelp27549_help27549_2.html%23 but not sure what it means? Under stylesheet properties there is the APP formatting tab which has a hyphenation section, but there does not seem to be a way to change it per language.    Thanks Bryon

I have a lot of XML files that are revised by random people.These XML files can have the element PARA and these PARA can have a list of children. When the PARA has a FOO child, it is expected that this FOO will be around spaces, for example: <PARA>SOME PARA TEXT <FOO>SOME FOO TEXT</FOO> MORE PARA TEXT.</PARA> But if there aren't spaces around, it would be ideal to show a message to the person who is reviewing the XML. This must happen for all PARA children. Is there a way to do such a thing with ACL?

We have multiple stylesheets and I would like the default one to be selected when publishing. Currently if I publish a topic by itself it chooses the correct stylesheet. When I publish a map it chooses a different one.   The goal is to have the same stylesheet selected when publishing a topic or a map. I did find a help topic about adding a stylesheet PI https://support.ptc.com/help/arbortext/r8.1.2.0/en/index.html#page/admin%2Fadmin%2Fhelp1394.html  I do not think that is what I want. I also found this one https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS269879?source=search and it does not seem to work.    Currently if I go to format, select stylesheets the editor/default  path is correct to the techinfo stylesheet, but the print/pdf is empty with no association. My guess is that it should be set to the default techinfo stylesheet also. Is that the correct thought? Is there a way to make the setting global for all the users.   Thanks Bryon  

I am updating the french xliff file to automatically change the TM symbol to MC, and the reg symbol to MD when published. I cannot seem to find any symbols that are already created in a superscript MC or MD. I have not seen any way to modify the text in the xliff file.   

We are currently using Editor 6.1 release. What newer version should we go to? Would our data work with the newest release? (8.2.2.0)

How are people managing citations and/or bibliorefs in Arbortext Editor.We have thousands of references in our content that can also be re-used in other topics. Basically, we copy paste references from topic to topic. Would like the ability to update reference once and have it referenced in many topics. Has anyone implemented a citation manager to be used with Arbortext, e.g. Zotero? EndNote?  RefWorks etc.If so, how does it work? How do they integrate.

I have an installation of IsoDraw 7.2 which has suddenly stopped launching. There is no error message that appears and I have not found any logs. I have a hunch that the version of Java may not be compatible. Is there a way to try to launch IsoDraw from JAR file so I can see any potential Java exceptions thrown into the command window?

Hi all, I'm just reaching out and curious about what version of DITA you are using. Also, has anyone upgraded DITA from 1.2 to latest version? or 1.3?  If I'm not mistaken, Arbortext uses DITA 1.3. We are using 1.8 (or 1.2 not sure what the difference is) however, we made a few minor changes and maintain a 1.3 version to be used for Arbortext custom folder. At one point we upgraded Arbortext Editor and were getting a bunch of errors, we realized it was using 1.3, therefore we made the necessary changes and updated the schemas.  

Anyone else having issues with Isodraw 7.4.1.0 slow to refocus in windows 10? We open it and use the program. then come back to it. We get the blue spinning wheel and its takes around 25 sec for it be active. Does not happen all the time but its quite frequent, our authors are getting quite frustrated.   Any thoughts,   Bryon

Hi,I am working on DITA Bookmap. I am having a chapter element containing title element with content (out of context rule) and Topic ref element (Topic refered locally [.dita file]) Ref Image 1.png. On Bookmap the Title element mentioned here is visible, but when I edit the document for styling [(i.e) Edit > Edit Resolved Document> For Styling] Ref Image 2.png and on the new window title element mentioned is not visible ref Image 3.png and so I am not able to format that element.   Kindly support me resolving it....   Thanks in Advanced.   N Sathiyaseelan

I am investigating the potential to use Arbortext Editor & Styler (8.) for a client, having used Oxygen XML Editor in the past and being familiar with XML, DITA, CSS, XSL and HTML. When generating output from a very basic DITA document using a stylesheet with minimal changes, the content of the top-level 'title' element is repeated with a basic text style in the following line of the PDF document and repeated without any tags in the HTML page (see images). This does not occur when using the default stylesheet for DITA. I have looked through the stylesheet parameters, especially ‘Generated text’, without finding anything that might cause this. Thank you for your help.

Hi,   Has anyone successfully configured APE to connect to an HTTPS url (in this case configured in Tomcat)? I think I have done all the requisite steps  - added port 8443 to Tomcat configuration, verified that http://myserver.com:8443 can be reached (and http://myserver.com:8443/e3 is valid through a browser) - added cert to Trusted Root Authorities page - verified that the service is available over 8080 when https is not configured   I get the error 'No publishing configuration information is available from the Arbortext Publishing Engine server: Possible causes: invalid URL, PE server down or PE server misconfigured'   Has anyone got this successfuly working?   Thanks
