Hello Experts!!

Hi,I am trying to modify a fosi to support an acronym tag reference.I have one element <acronym> with two child elements <acroterm> and <acrodef>. <acrodef> takes an id attribute. <acroterm> takes an attribute refid of type IDREF. This tagging is used where the acronym is first defined.Subsequently, if <acroterm> is used alone in any other element, such as <para> element, it is supposed to generate the original <acroterm>'s (content) and create a link reference back to its definition sibling where its refid equals the definition element's id. Is there a way to accomplish this using FOSI?Any suggestions?

We're using Arbortext Editor v6.1 M010.I've had several users report this behavior to me, but I have not been able to duplicate it myself.If they are editing a file for which they need to track changes and use the Arbortext keymapping Control+Shift+E to toggle TrackChanges on and off, every other time they key Control+Shift+E the Preferences dialog window opens. I have searched in vain for any mention of a keymapping which opens the Preferences window and can find none.Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Any suggestions on how to fix it?Regards,Rick

6.0 m090.Hi. I have a CALS/OASIS table consisting of three almost-page-length rows(two columns wide). In each of my two Styler environments, the tabledoesn't break. It overruns the page. In at least one of my FOSIenvironments, it breaks as expected, producing a three-page, continuedtable.I have Edited Source on all of the table components of the Stylerstylesheets (not to change them, just to SEE the FOSI coding) but I can'tsee anything that suggests a difference in breaking rows. Keeps, forexample, are all Derive/Derive/No/No/No on tgroup, tbody, row.Any thoughts about how Styler might think about tables differently?deepcontentsplitting is off for us, but turning it on doesn't change thisbehavior.If I insert an empty 0.01mm high row between each of the real rows, thenthe table appears to break as expected which is to say it looks right inthe PDF (viewed onscreen). Dear all,We konw that the dpi basically is used to calculate the print size of a given image. When we change the image resolution ratio, for example, from 96dpi to 200dpi, when I pubish the PDF document, the size of the image are different. The 200dpi's is larger.Then I have some questions: 1. When I publish the PDF, did the the image resolution ratio change? If changed, how much has changed? I'm not sure if some problem in my understanding of basic concepts.But I print the PDF and office word document for the image, I think the image in word document is clearer.2.When I change the image attribute width or scale, the size of the image will change also. Did the the image resolution ratio change? Can I control the dpi by these attribute, how?3.The custom want the image resolution ratio in PDF is 200dpi, and also want a width 70mm, is this possible? Hello, My customer wants to publish in grayscale PDF for printing. I configured .appcf file below;<PDFMode color="mono" defaultLanguage="" fastWebView="no"/><Compatibility layers="yes" tagging="inherit"><PDF level="1.7"></PDF></Compatibility><ColorProfile defaultCMYK="" defaultGray="" defaultRGB=""/><Images epsDPI="600" linked="original"/>..... The output looks good (=monocrome) from my eyes, however it includes all CMYK colors when customer analyze it in Adobe Acrobat. Is it possible to publish true grayschale PDF ?*I use Styler 6.1 M030. Dear all,I meet a confusing problem. When I using the Arbortext default DTD, such as topic, concept, we can paste table in office word to the xml, and it can generate the <table> automatically.But I customized some DTD, and create the topic, when I paste table in office word, not only table, also text, the Arbortext Editor will promet "agettext: Msgid not found in message file: CopyPaste failed to convert clipboard". Every time paste...After I changed the pastesource preference to mif;rtf;txt (delete the htm), it didn't promet "agettext: Msgid not found in message file: CopyPaste failed to convert clipboard" again, but still I can't paste table in office word to xml. it will generate the <p>.Did I lost some setting, or steps, or some check for the DTD? Some addiional questions have occurred to me about using APP: - Chapter 2 of the APP Users Guide is about the APP User Interface. How is it accessed?I saved a sample XML document as a .3d file, but it opened in Arbortext Editor as ASCII text. - Does APP have anything like the FOSI formatting pass reduction feature? - FOSI uses cache files to speed up formatting after a document has been formatted once. Hi,One of our colleague meet a problem, the Arbortext Editor's icons is missing, but still have button or a black line, you can click it.When setup the installation package and select "Repair", it will OK. But when using one day or two, the icons missed again.I think maybe the icons files is lost, why? Is there any programs are not compatible with the editor?Thanks!

Looking for answers to my APP-related questions, I found the following in the 6.0 Help Center under"Print Engine Comparison": "In version 6.0 the FOSI engine is somewhat faster than APP, though we expect to close that gap over time." Hi, I am trying to download and use Arbortext trial version. For getting the license file, I need the host id of my machine. The host id of my machine is 4C-ED-DE-AA-3B-04 which is shown as invalid. Please let me know what should be done.

The DoD and the aerospace industry have relied on Arbortext Editor and FOSI for twenty years, and I expect they will object to PTC/Arbortext’s announcements regarding FOSI and Print Composer. Some aerospace and Defense subcontractors/suppliers are small businesses that cannot possibly afford APP and Publishing Engine.As with defense and aerospace, some major global enterprises are heavily invested in Arbortext Editor and FOSI. I expect they will have objections as well.BTW: I do not know how many Arbortext Editor customers publish with FOSI. However, I can tell you that my posting to the Arbortext Community a few months ago about using the FOSI Putgraph category to re-size graphic entities for print/PDF output received more than 2,000 hits in less than three months.PTC/Arbortext is recommending Styler with the APP engine, but abundant evidence has shown that Styler is adequate only for simple formatting requirements. Hello Arbx Experts!I have an acl script that uses an XML location path to get an objectID in editor.This works no problem with regular XML trees. But with XML containing namespaces it does work the same.The first full NS local name path shown below does not return the oid.But the second path example changed and simplified through a regex does. So my question: Why does this first full explicit path type not work in Editor?
