I have some work where essentially the end product is "pretty pictures" of concept ideas that I believe would be easier to complete outside of our normalWindchill 10.1 M10 environment (with Creo2 M030). Back in the Wildfire days, I remember being able to create a new Pro/E start up command that didn't link to Windchill by running ptcsetup. I would think there would be a way to do so in Creo? Anyone have the proceedure? I am notnearly as fluent in the intricacies of Creo set as I was with Wildfire, so steps would begreat.I do realize that I can go into Server Manager and work "offline", however that still defaults into workspaces. I would prefer to just work unfettered by Windchill; filing to a specific directory on my hard drive, changing and renaming things as I see fit...thanks in advance...

We're using Creo and 3D Connexion space mice here and as a result are very focussed on the screen when modelling. The only time we seem to divert back to the keyboard is to enter numeric values to change dims and so on.What's the chance of PTC incorporating an on screen numeric keypad, that you can toggle on and off, with +,-,/,* and return keys to allow the user to maintain focus on the screen? There are a number of apps in the wild that try to do this, but none seem to work very well.All input in terms of expanding the idea, or somebody being able to point me at a reliable solution that already exists, very much appreciated!And have a great Christmas guys!

I like to use AFX model, now I've got a problem, I need general EFX/Equipment library, but do not understand how to establish joint EFX/Equipment.now such as in the folder efx\parts\equipment\steel_construction_mm\stairs\stairs_1.asm，parameters in this component，such as joint_5,joint_6,joint_9,joint_10,and now these 4 parameter value represents the mean，I do not understand ,If anyone knows of extra documentation where it outlines what is required of an EFX parts/equipment that'd be great.thank you!

I have noticed that the clearance hole sizes for UNC holes are off. Up until Creo, I simply edited a hole diameter in the creation process, but now I am unable to modify the value as it is greyed out. I attempted to change the .hol file manually, and the folder is read only. At this moment I am making a copy of the file an editing it, I will either need administrative help to replace the original file, or use a parameter to point Creo to a new locationfor the files. Anyone know what this parameter might be?

Hallo zusammen,ich habe auf der Oberfläche eines Körpers mit Freiformkurvenbegrenzung eine Arbeitsebene gelegt.Auf dieser Arbeitsebene habe ich die Freiformkante des Körpers mit "3D-Geometrie - 3D-Kurve - ...Mehr - Kurve umwandeln" erzeugt.Diese jetzt auf der Arbeitsebene erstellte Freiformkurve möchte ich parallel (rechtwinklig, als in Normalenrichtung, zum Krümmungsverlauf der Kurve) auf der Arbeitseben verschieben.Mit "3D-Geometrie - 3D-Kurve - ...Mehr - Kurve positionieren" finde ich nicht das richte Ergebnis.Wo finde ich die richte Anweisung? Oder muß ich mehrere Anweisungen kombinieren um ans Ziel zu gelangen?Mit österlichem GrußWerner

One of the users at work just recently experienced a strange occurance with a model he has been working on over the past couple of days. He opened the model he was working on, and noticed that certain features have changed color. See below:I've personally never seen anything like it. Any idea as to what could've caused this? Hi.I would like to know if it's possible rename atomatically the names of the instanced groups. Here's an example: I instanced 5 relays and deteleted K02 relay. I want rename automatically the other instanced relays to have from K01 to K04 . Is it possible?Thanks

I copied font "Comis Sans" (do not smile, it is for company logo ) from win folder to font folder in Creo. After picking this font for table text styl nothing happen. It is like the font is not there, but i choose it from the list and adjusted size and everything.What did i do wrong?
