Hi,How do I get the final shape in the attached picture? I want to "weld" the edges together. For me it's irrelevant if it's done in sheetmetal, by surfaces or any other method. All I want is the finished shape and sheetmetal is maybe a way to go. The only thing I know is the dimensions when the panels are flat. The finished height of the container will be less than the length of the panels due to the curvature. Fist time here and hoping for some tips 🙂 BRRobert
Hello Everyone, I'm planning to upgrade Creo 11, I noticed some config option are depreciated in Creo parametric 11 from my existing config.pro file.may I know the new config option for below ones. dim_tol_lead_trail_zeros Gtol_lead_trail_zeros lead_trail_zeros Mapkey(continued) Pro_texture_library Windows_browser_type Thank you Kumar
Greetings-I inherited a RHEL 7 license server with several instances of lmgrd running various vendor products including creo. The existing license was expired, got a new license generated changed the Server/Daemon lines for server name/daemon path and restarted the service. In the logs I see ptc_d exited with status 34 (invalid host) I have verified that the MAC address is correct, and goggled the error. The only reference I see for a status 34 was from 2017/RHEL 6 which I'm skeptical if its still relevant. Downloaded the latest LMGRD & ptc_d from PTC with no change. I'm at a loss on this one, can someone give me shove in the right direction? Thanks in advance,
Hello Everyone. From : To : " Is it possible to symbolic solve, x , y , the above ? "Thanks in advance for your time and help.Regards.
I have a company license to use Mathcad prime version 10. I provided license server name and port number. But when I open a file, it shows me to run this feature you need to upgrade to full license. There is a message: "This is a premium feature. To use this and other premium features, please upgrade to a full license using the upgrade button." When I try to upgrade the license, it directs me to purchase the feature. Other coworker does not need to upgrade to use the feature. Please let me know how to fix the problem. We are in different time zones.
Hi all, Looking for a bit of guidance on annotations, but my desired outcome may not be possible from the research I've done already. I am working on an assembly and want to include an annotation for our own reference while designing. I was aiming to have an attached leader note with the text following the screen, rather than being placed on a plane, so it was more legible when working within the assembly. I have a legacy model from a much older version of Creo/ProE where this behaviour was achieved. Pictures below showing the text of the leader note scaling with the view's zoom level, and rotating to always face the screen. The leader and elbow are fixed in 3D space, but the text is dynamic. The closest I have achieved in Creo8 is an item attached note, but this can be blocked by the model, whereas the legacy note always displays on top. I am guessing there have just been updates in the way the annotations work, and there is now no way to replicate this
My Preferred way till now is to start with along axis and as it leaves connector in a desirable way, co-ordinate system. Creating intermediate locations with placement reference co-ordinate. Any of your preferred ways you feel more convenient to get perfect route as wanted and easy to modify. SEE some IMAGES ref. Please let me know. I may learn from others sent time to figure that out. Lots of trial and error t-e-t-e-t-e... : ) THANKS IN ADVANCE!LMK
I recently paid for a license on April 9th but I haven't received an email with the license file or a receipt for my payment. The person I spoke with is Reid Nolan. He said it would take no longer than 24 hours to get the license.
I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeM030Hello, I would like to numerically solve a system of partial differential equations of this kind for voltages and currents:i.e.:U1(t)=R1*i1(t)+L*d/dt(i1(t)+M1*d/dt(i2(t))+d/dt(M2(t))*IkU2(t)=R1*i2(t)+L*d/dt(i2(t)+M1*d/dt(i1(t))+d/dt(M3(t))*IkThe equations contain several differentials of different currents and also time dependant componentsHow could this be solved in mathcad?
Why is my "Excel Component" In-active???? Can anyone please help me out with this?- Srikar
Hi,I see that the Mathcad Prime roadmap is till Mathcad Prime 11 (2025): @DJNewman what will be for future regarding the Mathcad Prime development? Do you know and can say? And what features are targeted for next releases versions of Mathcad Prime?
Hi all, I need to solve a calculation using Mathcad prime 7 for my work, but i am newer of mathcad and not able to solve it by maself, even with the help of ChatGTP, it's not clear. So my problem is, I have an array of 3 values as Tp by witch i can get my L0 array, and the fuction that i wanna get solved is as below. When there is only one Tp/L0, the problem is easy to be solved, you will find the solution is 311.733m for a Tp of 15s. However, when the TP or L0 is an array of multiple values, then i cant get it solved correctly in the solve block, either i cant get a solution or the solution is incorrect (ie. for a Tp of 15s, the solution is 352.175m comparing to 311.733m that i found at the other sheet).Btw, in my full calculation sheet (as shown below as screenshot), i build the block in the same way, not sure why it works but not in the calculation table I built separately. Can someone can help me write it correctly ? thanks Attachment:
Creo 8: In an assembly, we're using a 40" flexible bellows vacuum line multiple times (3), but since it needs to be a single item line with the correct quantity of 3, it obviously can't be 3 separate parts. Yes, I could be sloppy and make 3 different parts but with the part number and description parameters the same, but that's not acceptable because it would make 3 different item #'s. It's not like bulk wire or tubing etc. where I could simply have a quantity of "AR", these are specific 40" bellows. Is there a simple way to do this? I was thinking it "might" be possible using multiple bodies, but we don't want to do that because our Windchill guys say multi bodies cause Windchill issues, plus I'm not an expert in using multiple bodies in Creo (used it quite a bit in NX 8.5 about 7 years ago though). Thoughts?
Now this gets tricky for me as I move ahead with Cabling.I have: = The whole vehicle assembly, -Sub assembly -Main Parts -Screws /nuts / boltsThen comes HARNESS at the end. Now I have 1098 Harnesses in this BEAST.What is the best way to organize my HARNESSES?? See attached image. What should be my approach?I have to get it right from get go or will waste 10x ::::))))If you guys can make me sleep well for this weekend, nothing like it 🙂 THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIPS!
Hello,Can someone explain how to hide a sweep profile curve in the model and drawing? Similar topics discussed setting the config.pro option 'mesh_spline_surface' to 'no'. I have tried this and it doesn't seem to work for me. Thank you.
Hello everyone!I want to share the information how to create custom projection views for diferent scenarios. It took me some time to get this done.If you want to create ISO, Dimetric or custom projection views you can do it by using these formulas:a= atan(sqrt(tan(α)*tan(β))/(tan(β))) - angle of rotation on vertical axisb= asin(sqrt(tan(α)*tan(β))) - angle of rotation on horizontal axisα and β - are the angles you want for projection view (ex. Dimetric view α = 7, β = 42)a and b are the input angles for rotation of the part, as a result you get α and β for the projection view. The best thing is to add a mapkey to do it for you:I've added this to my config file:!Dimetric viewmapkey ww1 @MAPKEY_NAMECreate a dimetric view;@MAPKEY_LABELDimetric view 1 (ww1);\mapkey(continued) `igToolbar_AncestorIGT_IGT_GRP_inh396938342.proe_win:casc340798662`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdViewOrient` ;\mapkey(continued) ~ Select `orient` `SetupOptions` 1 `dynorient`;\mapk
Is it possible to suppress layers using relations or pro program? I have a part with all of the features possible built in and I suppress the features I don't want using parameters, relations and the model pro program. The problem I am having is when I need to add another feature to a group. When the new feature is added to the model tree in the existing group of features, the model program automatically adds an "end if" statement before the feature and the existing conditional statement after it. This essentially creates an island in the middle of the group that does not become suppressed with the group around it. On simple parts this is not a big deal as I can go in and fix it easily enough, but as the parts get more complex it gets much more complicated. Also, none of my coworkers are knowledgeable enough to editing pro programs at this time. What I want to do is put all of the features that should be grouped together on a single layer and then just use re
How can I define a path as an environment variable for CUSTOMIZATION_PATH in the AFX module that is accepted? Currently, I have to set this option via Creo, but it should also be definable in the PSF file or via a startup script. Currently, the module does not accept this environment variable even though it is included in Creo.
We started using IFX about a year ago and since then I have been improving and adding bolts and nuts to it. After some minor hiccups during the implementation, it works almost perfectly. All models are family table instances. But now a strange issue has turned up:After placing a sunken screw, which we don't use a lot (SCREWTYPE 60), all next screws (Hexagon, Cylinder head...) are placed "in" the material. The preview shows it already and, the distance constraint of the screw shows a strange value I do not recognize. Accidentally I found out that the "issue" was solved by once selecting the Coach bolt. It is not even necessary to place the Coach bolt, but only selecting it from the menu, and then selecting the desired bolt solves the issue and brings the system back to its normal state. When investigating I found out that for the Coach bolt I used the "non existend" SCREWTYPE 92. But it works fine!
Software crash- screenshot is taken – reason and possible solution need to find.Software parts regeneration – need to find out the reason first.
I was able to copy this activation key, which is valid for 72 hours, and paste it into the Manual Product Activation window to use it.The first time, I was able to use it for 72 hours without any problems. After 72 hours have passed, I want to use it again, so I do the same thing, but this time a window appears saying that key is incorrect and I can't use it. Question:Is this 72 hour activation just a for one-time use?
Any suggestions for the best way to create a cutout like the one shown, but on a circular pattern would be really helpful
Hello , How should I fix the following issue. Initially works fine but changing the units cause the following error.
Hello,I want to remove hidden lines in my half section (circled red in attached picture) but still have hidden lines activated in the remaning part of the view (circled blue in attached picture) - how can I make this happen? I'm currently on Creo 11Thankful for all the help I can get./ Andreas
Good day folks, This is Edward, I’m working on the generation of drawings with CREO Parametric with repetitive steps. I want to automate the generation of the same and found that by using a function called "Drawing Program" I can do it. However, I am new to this topic. I would like to know where I could start, some book, video, example, etc. , which can serve as a reference for me to be able to make sketches. Thanks in advance.
