CAD

IFX in Creo 10.0.4.0When using IFX it standard creates holes in modifiable parts. When you don't want that you have to set it manually each time to "Do not create a hole".Is it possible to have it default always set to "Do not create a hole"  for all parts? 

I have a problem with the mouse in the mould base definition window, when I place the mouse over a plate it does not select to select it I have to move it either to the side or higher up,has anyone ever had this problem? if so how did you solve it?i have also tried with older versions but always the same problem.

I wanted to check if the following workflow is possible using Creo and Mathcad, and whether any customization is needed.Use Case:Let’s say I am designing a pressure vessel, where key parameters such as diameter, height, and thickness are determined through design calculations.Now, the thickness is calculated based on a formula in Mathcad, and I do not need to create a 3D model of the pressure vessel. Hello all,I wanted to ask how you handle additional 2D symbols such as arrows, annotations and other image additions. I am thinking about creating a whole range of helpful 2D symbols. For example, all kinds of arrows and also a bin. I find that helpful sometimes. Of course, such things can be done later with another tool during further image processing, but we would like to do the complete image creation in CI if possible. My questions:1. how do you deal with this issue?2. is it possible to rotate inserted 2D symbols? This would be very helpful for arrows.3. is it possible to change the order of the inserted 2D symbols. The last 2D symbols inserted overlap the previous ones, and sometimes rearranging them would be helpful. Thanks and best regardsRamon  

Hi,The visual quality of chart components (MathCad 10) when printed (pdf) seems not as good as that of "standard" plots, and changing dpi in printer settings didn't help there.Is there any tip to improve this?Thanks for your help,Cédric

I want to keep EI as EI in my calculations, as EI was defined previously. wondering if I can do that, and then I also want to extract 0.5 values out, because these are my Distribution factors. so I want to be able to type DF_BA = 0.5.

Hello Community  Till date I am using Creo Parametric 6.0.6.0. but since last few days I am using Creo Parametric 11.0.3.0. I make model which have 2 machining operations in single model. I want to make individual drawing for both operation with machining symbol so I used family table and make two separate part for both operation. When I created drawing of both part and place machining symbol on machining surface. When I place machining symbol place on second machining operation face (in instance part drawing), obesely which surface not show in my generic model. So when I opened my generic model meanwhile second operation machining symbol failed in generic model. I attached images for reference. Please help me how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.            

I am in Creo Parametric 9.0.8.0. I am attempting to generate an MCD in Creo NC. I am able to generate an NCL file with no issues. However, when I try to generate an MCD file, after all of the prompts, I check my working directory and there is no file for the g-code output. I have attached an image of the log. Am I missing something here?

Hello.I'm using Creo Elements/Direct Modeling (x64 edition) Revision: 20.1.2.0, and every time I export a SLT file, I need to change the maximum deviation value. Is there a way to lock these values to create a default parameter? 

I was trying trigonometric functions in Mathcad & for some reason I couldn`t get these results/values in fraction mode. Is there a way to enable them? I couldn`t get it in Math Formatting Tab as well. Please feel free to share your thoughts.- Srikar

Hi I am currently working on CREO 11, when calculating mass properties for any CAD file, the results always comes up as scientific notation (MASS = 6.0445521e+01 GRAM ).I tried looking and adjusting descimal dislplay in the configuration but it does not affect the mass calculation results.scientific notation results                Is there a way to get the mass calculation as:MASS = 60.445 GRAMThanks

Why there is even wire create option ? I cannot follow a second wire along with the first created wire. !. CABLE does it much better and flexible. So what is the advantage/ Vs / when to use. between both?Thanks Advance! PL enlighten me with your thoughts.

Hello Community!We've had difficulties with cross-sections in a specific situation :We want to show section like hereunder to detail the hole profile : And this is the result we get :It seems to be related to the section plane position : I believe this is because there are counterbore surfaces on the same plane as section plane and Creo seems to absolutely hate this : In every community post I saw that were slightly similar to my case, the best working solution I saw was to set an offset for section plane. I tried here with a 0.01 mm offset and it works. Do you have any idea where it comes from? And is there any other resolution to this problem than cheating with an offset? Thank you in advance!

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I just moved from Prime 5.0 to 8.0, and some integrals (symbolic calculation with units) no longer calculate: while it tool a couple of minutes only, the orange disk turns infinitely without success.I'm wondering whether I made a spelling error due to new engine, but I cannot find the solution.

I was able to copy this activation key, which is valid for 72 hours, and paste it into the Manual Product Activation window to use it.The first time, I was able to use it for 72 hours without any problems. After 72 hours have passed, I want to use it again, so I do the same thing, but this time a window appears saying that is incorrect and I can't use it. No matter how many new activation keys I receive, each key is always incorrect and a window appears with the message "the key is not correct". Question:Is this 72 hour activation only once per account? ↓↓↓Confirmed↓↓↓"I create a new account, and i get another 72 hours for activation.But it seems so ridiculous to create a new account for every 72 hours activation..."

After working well since initial download on 7/30/23,  Creo Modeling Express no longer starts.  Instead a pop up dialogue prompting me for email and password to Activate comes up.  After entering my e-address and password. and selecting 'Activate' I get a second dialogue saying:  Connection failed.  For Modeling Express to automatically activate it requires access to the internet.  Please check if a proxy has to be specified and enter your company's proxy server details so that activation can proceed.  I'm merely an individual with a laptop, there is no proxy server.  My internet connection is fine and I have a basic PTC account.  How can I fix this and why did it happen? 

My company is wanting to start modeling wiring harnesses in 3D. My plan was to add the connectors into the CAD model with an axis at each point where a pin would be. My current problem is I don't know what to do about the terminals and the locking mechanisms for the terminals (like the small plastic piece you shove in a Deutsch connector so the pins don't come out). I would really rather not add the terminals and locks into CAD just because there just such tiny pieces. We have part numbers for each lock and terminal, would it be possible to somehow add that information to the connectors Creo file? So once the 2D drawing is made is can pull in and show the connector the terminal and the lock when you make one of those tables? Thanks in advance
