Good day, I am a newly hired teacher at the HTL Rankweil. From there I got a user license for MathCad. I may have made two mistakes when activating the license. I had downloaded version 10.0.1.0. But my colleagues all use version 10.0.0.0. The license I was using may only be valid for 10.0.0.0 and not 10.0.1.0. That's why it stopped working the next day.   Or it was because I used my private email address when registering for the account and not the one that belongs to my school.   Today I wanted to activate version 10.0.0.0 with my school email address. Unfortunately it was not possible to open an account. My Mathcad application doesn't start, i tried to reinstall it but with no succes. It only shows that the application is in the taskbar, when i press on it a small window above the taskbar comes up and it is black. I urgently need your help for a project that i am working on for university. Thank you!

I have to use Mathcad prime for my engineering course and since it I cannot purchase it right now I have been using the 30 day trial. So once I started the 30 days I thought it would be fine for 30 days, but for whatever reason the trial period disappears after a couple days or a couple hours, putting me back in mathcad express. My work-around for a couple days was to reacquire the license through the licensing wizard. None of my friends have had this issue, and I have now 'run out of free trials' even though I would be halfway through my actual 30 day free trial.

So, I've been able to work through all the values so far but seems like I have a problem with the summation notation since the THD of alpha does not converge to a solution:

I was modifying the creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui in Creo 10. This .ui file gets put in the users loadpoint via our Creo startup scripts. I didn't realize that the .ui file contained the windows scale.  We can restore the old .ui file, but I would like the .ui file to not contain anything but the ribbon customizations. Is there a way to do that?

I encountered an interesting and maybe concerning problem in how MathCad solves its intergrals between different versions. In the version of MathCad I use (MathCad Prime 9.0.0.0.) the integral I wanted to solve and get an analytical expression to gave one answer. This answer is different from the answer you get on older MathCad versions. I noticed this from some old reports where this integral was solved via MathCad about 20 years ago and they get a different analytical expression. This expression you get from the older versions is also the same you get by solving the integral completely analytically (which you can do via variable substitution). The difference between the answers seem to be very little and the residual could just be some numerical truncation maybe, but as we can see the difference is not completely negligible depending on what you are after. Has anyone encountered something similar to this and know why this is the case?

We are starting to use AFX for designing frames built from standard aluminium profiles.We use Windchill and don't want to have all the separate profile lengths as their own CAD models and WTParts in there so we are planning to embed all the profiles created by AFX to the frame assembly. But we would like to get the different used profiles and their total lengths to Windchill.So I was planning to start using Bulk items in Creo for the profiles and associating them to the profile material items in Windchill. That way we would have the Windchill BOM of the frame to only include the needed profiles and their total lengths:But it's really laborous and error prone to measure the profiles one by one and tI can see that AFX has that information stored somewhere, because the BOM tables created by AFX can tell the used profiles and their total material needs.Can that information be accessed somehow and linked to the quantity parameter of the bulk items? Can CED modeling be run as a background process with no UI?

I have a file with dozens of independent features that I want to create similar parameters for. I can export the XML data, but it does not contain the appropriate information to re-assign the parameters on import. Any one have any ideas?

Creo 9.0.6 Is there a config available to adjust what tab opens when assembling a part that has predefined flexibility? See the attached image as I'm using a pre-defined feature flexibility. When assembling and using that predefined I'd like it to open directly to the feature tab. I've had users completely miss the little (1) icon next to the text on a tab and not be able to find what to adjust. I understand that dimensions are the most likely to be used and that makes it a great default, but a little order of operations rule would be great here.

Hello all, I'm trying to do a fit for the transient thermal impedance of a transistor based on a set of points that I extracted from a datasheet. At first, I tried to do a simple polyfit, but it seems that the fit can diverge to very high numbers or even go negative, which may not be acceptable in this case, since the thermal impedance is strictly positive.I tried to do a fit similar to the Foster thermal model, based on R and C couples of values, that is usually used in the thermal models of electronic components. For that, I tried to use the LeastSquaresFit function, but it doesn't converge in my case, script attached below. Could anyone explain the reason for the divergence ? Is it the input data or the way it is used ?In the case I try to separate R and C values to 2 vectors, should the guess vector be the stack of the R and C vectors ? One of our users is experiencing issue with PTC Control Center not updating Creo and not being able to be updated. When trying to perform a fresh install of the Control Center is says we can't overwrite the current install. Tried everything from an IT stand point except a fresh install of windows. I'm designing a Isogrid geometry in Creo 10, but I'm having trouble with the Thicken feature. Creo allows me to thicken only one surface of this "box"—it doesn't matter which surface I choose, it always works for the first one. However, when I try to thicken a second surface, it fails.Does anyone know a fix for this?
