Hi folks,I'm wondering if it's possible manage elements that era created using the "Prismatic Elements" control. It doesn't feel the other control on the geometry like "Maximum element size" or also the general Mesh setting as Max aspect ratio. If you see the attached pic, where I've marked the two red brackets, I can't set the Wedge depth. At the moment I work around this issue with the addiction of much volume regions (second pic attached). Thanks
No idea why CREO would create these COPY entries. Sometimes there are three of them for the same feature, and not necessarily in order of COPY 1 to 3.I would probably not even notice these until one of my chamfers refused to work properly on a very simple part (at the end of a cylinder). It would create the chamfer, it would show its profile in sketching, but in the end would not remove the material at all, just put some exterior rings for where the chamfer should have been. And no error was raised. Took me some time to figure out that the chamfer was applied to one of the COPY entries, even though I was clicking on the EXTRUDE feature itself.I had no idea what to do, so I deleted all the COPY entries and nothing was lost, it seemed that the part was really not affected by this -- and then the chamfer started working properly.Any ideas what these entries are and why are they created?Thank you!
I am looking for a way to create Unit Basis (Rate of Change) on a Flatness. I tried applying it in Annotate with a Composite frame, but it gives me a message stating that the "Per Unit Basis is not Compatible with the Specified Characteristic symbol." There doesn't seem to be a direct way to apply Unit Basis to Form. I am also looking for a way to change the Tolerance Standard to ASME. It looks like ANSI and ISO are allowed out of the box. How would I add the ASME standard?
I was working with exploded views that can be pulled from the subassemblies to the parent using the default explode. However the explode lines from the subassembly are not showing in the parent. Is that how its supposed to work or am I missing a setting that can bring the explode lines into the parent?
Hello, I have an issue here when exporting the flat state of Sheetmetal parts. DXF will be created from the drawing. We have checked off the splines option in the export menu.In most cases the splines (end points) in the exported DXF file are not connected. Our supplier needs to connect the end points by themselves. When I change splines to polylines, the end points are connected but the geometry contains only straight lines, we don't want this as well. Are there any settings we have to use to solve this issue
I have a part that shows the wireframe lines in white (for some reason, maybe the person who created it had a black background, otherwise I cannot see the reason for this). Is there a setting that controls the color of the lines in the wireframe view? Could also play with the thickness of those lines if there is a setting for that...But the COLOR is the burning issue for all parts that come with white/light gray lines.I tried Appearance --> System_Appearance color settings, but could not get it right, I found how to change the hidden lines color, but only that.Using CREO 10 on Windows 10.Many thanks!
As per the original post. Hi BenLoosli, In one of my project I have to update the assignee and reviewer details on drawing. So we are using the format to update this for new also we are using format. Now to update the required parameters on drw. We are using Custom delegate. But seems like there is a glitch like sometime it is working fine and sometime it is not but in creo I can see the parameters with correct values. So I am not understanding why it is happening.
Hi everyone, Long time viewer, first time poster.I am trying to make a chassis consisting of a swept C channel. It is consisting of a c channel changing in height but also is at an angle with reference to the original section. While looking simple, it has me quite flustured on the correct way to perform this. Got it half way there with the swept blend feature. But I am unable to rip the walls and create a flat pattern. How would you guys go about this? Keeping the model also simple to adjust. I am using CREO 4.0 Cheers, Peter
I want to create a groove around the internal bore of a component, for an oil groove, the drawing dimensions show the start and end points as the same, so a continuous loop, but the groove moves along a helical sweep to its position 180 degrees from start, then returns to the origin. Ive been looking at curves from equations to create the sweep profile, but struggling. Attached a pic of the groove.
So i have been working on a project on my creo students version (creo parametric 11.0)and it seems that i am getting fatal errors frequently in some few minutes itself after opening the file.[i have been modelling with an imported IGES model.]so please find me some solutionsthis is the message im getting and dont know what to do please some one come to my aid .and i have also added my trace back log too
Hi AllLooking to create a calculation which uses a drop down box to select beam size. I would like mathcad to then automatically populate all the remaining characteristics of the beam into the appropriate variables. I have downloaded the AISC shapes database as an excel file so I am using the READEXCEL function to input the excel data to mathcad. A combo box seemed like a really good fit. I'm trying to input columns from my data matrix into the combo box but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas? A snapshot of the simple worksheet below.
I am trying to sweep a surface over a trajectory that has concave round edges. The problem is that it creates body that is overlapping. I need a single smooth body. Any ideas?
We had a formula written in Mathcad 15 that solved a range of numbers and gave a solution of the entire range (see image below). When we convert to Mathcad Prime 9.0 only the last number of the range gets solved (second image). We are looking for a maximum throughout the range so this does not help us very much. Is there a way to write the function in Mathcad Prime 9.0 to give similar results to Mathcad 15? Both files are attached.
Hej Guys, i am new to Mathcad and not very familar with it i have a worksheet with some functions and no i wanted to use the solveblock to find some solutions for me but i have no idea how i should write it down. i added the worksheet with the functions. i have a function with two Variables that where i want to find those two variables when i only know one result of the two out put results that the funcions brings me. the constraints i have and the expted result i put to the worksheet. maybe someone can give me some advise on how the solveblock need to be set up for a function with two variables? Kind RegardsMarkus
Using Creo Parametric 8.0.4.0, is it possible to create an animation using both a servo motor and explode? Attempting to explode/unexplode an assembly, then show rotation using the servo motor. Can these two features be used simultaneously or will separate animations have to be created?
Hi, I have create a cylinder which has a rope, when we rotate the cylinder the rope should move/rotate along the cylinder & repeat back to same position. Kindly help with an example if possbile. ThanksNaresh
Hi could somebody convert this file for me so I can use it in Mathcad prime?
Hi,I'm using Creo Parametric 9.0.6.0. I'm looking for help finding out the name of the calculated angle dimension in a pattern. I have a part that has a specifiable angle, 90 or 60 (red arrow). I need a different quantity of features (green check marks) depending on the angle of the part. These features must also start a specific distance away from an both inner edges. In order to pattern the features I created a curve (yellow line) at the constant offset from the inner edges (blue lines). In the pattern, my driving items are the curve and the number of features I want the pattern to have. It gives a resulting angle dimension between features (2nd image, red box), I'd like to use that value to show in the family table or show on a drawing. Is there a way for me to link to that value, does it have a name hidden somewhere?
Hi everyone,I’m working on solving a boundary value problem for an ordinary differential equation and would really appreciate some help! Using the finite difference method, I need to solve the boundary value problem with a precision of ε = 0.001. The integration step is h = 0.1.Additionally, using the conditions from previous task, I need to solve the boundary value problem for the same ordinary differential equation using the predictor-corrector method with a precision of ε = 0.001.Any guidance, examples, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! If you need more details about the problem, let me know. Thanks in advance!

Hello,We're in the implementation of Creo Illustrate 9.1 to be use for representations in MPMLink Process Plan. We're getting bugs sometimes with c3di files not updating. Probably a basic question here, but looking for what is the right way to manage. Q1- When Revising a Process Plan and Illustration files, Does the source file needs to be included?Q2- I can't collect (not even have the option) to collect the source files when files are released and need to be added for a Change. Q3 - The revise option does not work when reising all objects at once. is this normal?Hope someone has some insight/solutions here. Thanks in advance!
Hello All, I wanted ot know what type of analysis is it called. I have a 60m large rotating assembly mounted on static structure. So I wanted to know whether the static structure can withstand the dynamic load + static load of rotating components and static components together. Can you please advise whether its possible in CREO simulate? if yes then kindly request you to share info on its procedure.
Is anyone else having config control issues with this new Creo+ update? All of our config options pointed to Windchill are broken and half of the others arent working correctly. I know PTC wanted to move all these option to the Creo portal but it seems like alot of things were not accounted for. Having to individually go into each of our company profiles and update the config since the global config option doesn't work is one thing we've run into. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Or workarounds?
Hi I want to attach an existing symbol(.sym) to a dimension in the drawing file. I need a c# or a c++ code to do this activity. Thanks in Advance
