I usually need to export dxf files. I would have a multisheet drawing file, and I would need to make a separate dxf from each sheet. Is there anyway I can do it automatically? Any script or anything else? I want to export multiple dxf files with one click. Also can I export dxf without border line? I just need drawing view not borders. Is there anyway to stop borders being drawn in export dxf file?
Hello, This is a difficulty I have had with Creo for a long time, I always resort to adding a manual note to look as I want but I was wondering whether what I am trying is actually possible. I have a detail view but wish to have different layer settings for that particular view (compared to its parent) so changed the detail view type to 'General'. By making this a general view, the view label now defaults to the section view (&xsec_name). The detail view retains its name (C) but when I change the view label to say (&view_name), it just returns to the default &xsec_name. Simple question is; is it possible to create manual notes that are associated with specific views that will pull the relevant information from the view by adding the relevant &_x_ information? N.B. I am running Creo Parametric version 8.0.7.0
Hello, I am having trouble finding the material ID for use in a note. I have created a new parameter in my material called "SPEC" that I'd like to use in my note. But I cannot find where to get the MTRL_ID Thanks for any assistance.
Hopefully one of you can help me here. I need to make some custom toolkit buttons in Creo Parametric 8 but the PTC examples don't work and the documentation seems conflicting and is very unclear about how to start. I have created an async program in VB before, also with Creo Parametric 8, but this was a sort of background worker without UI involved. This program was pretty straightforward using the documentation. Linking VB.net to the Creo UI seems impossible at this point. Has anyone succeeded? Do you have a 'helloworld' example where the application is linked to Creo and a working custom button is added?
See image below. I tried giving K_t units of "inches" but that doesn't work.
I am trying to run the code but at this sectionI get this error. Why?
Hello guys, I have a small issue every time I run dynamic analysis in Creo Parametric. If I click the dynamic option, it always says "mechanism dynamics is required for this analysis type meaning". Do you guys know how to fix this or maybe there was a wrong joint or connection with the setting so the I couldn't run dynamic analysis. However, there's no problem with kinematic analysis.
I've searched as best as I can to find any reference concerning controlling the units as they are passed from an embedded Mathcad Prime 9 file to Creo (9.0.4.0). I'm aware of the "locked-down" default unit system sets available to us in Prime - please PTC fix this and add the functionality like we had in v15 to establish our own default unit set!!! The issue stems from our Creo part model having units set to "mm", and Prime insisting, of course, to only pass results back to Creo in "m" (or in "cm" or "in" if selected as the default). Is there any "trick" to force Mathcad Prime to pass result units back to Creo in "mm"? BTW, I know we can strip the units and simply send back a numeric value by dividing the result in Prime by "mm". The challenge there is if somebody wants to switch unit systems in Creo, the process will return incorrect values from Mathcad. In the meantime, I'll post an enhancement request in that section of the Mathcad forum to add custom default unit systems. Thank
Hello!I have a problem with my drawings. So I have an assembly and a drawing. There are two sheets in the drawing - the first is in A1 format, the second is in A3 format. On the first sheet outside the drawing field there is a specification table and positions are placed based on its repeat region. The problem is that the ballons break, overlap each other, etc.For example:1). Being on the second sheet, I click “update sheets”. After that, I go to the first sheet and see that almost all the ballons have fallen apart. Like that:Ok, then I click “update sheets” on the first sheet and everything falls into place as it shouldBUT! When I switch to the second sheet, the positions break again, only now on the second sheet. It's a vicious circle... The interesting thing is that if I make the same format on the sheets, then everything is fine. But I need different formats! So far the problem is solved by redrawing the drawing, but this is not normal Creo 5.0.4.0.
Hello, On page 7 of the attached sheet, there is a solver that existed in the sheet i created in mathcad 15. When i converted it to Prime 9, it removed the syntax "Given" and it aslo states undefined variables. I dont know how to fix it. Thanks,Sam

PA 2200 is very common material in AM and is not not in the Creo material list.I created the PA2200 material using the EOS data sheet. https://store.eos.info/products/pa-2200-polyamide-12 I've attached the file, and I hope you find it useful.
I am using Creo Schematics Release N/A and DatecodeN/AUsing Creo Schematics 9.0 and Creo Parametric 9.0Is there an electrical component library available to download from PTC for use with Creo Schematics 9.0 and Creo Parametric/Cabling 9.0?
hi all we are facing a problem regarding some parts constraint within an assembly. when we constrain them in the first place, everything looks good (fully constraint, ok).if we then open the define window of that part again, the constraints are changed (as you can see in the picture).first there were 3 constraints: 1. coincident, 2 & 3. distance, after reopening the define window. the 2. & 3. constraints are changed to coincident with the target surface as "not in memory".same happens, if we reopen the whole assembly after saving and checking in.we are using Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0thanks in advance
Hello, I've the license on creo..When installing the form, I was unable to access my license server because the web add license button was not visible. Would you please ask someone else to help too?
I always wonder why, after a walk in the park, some of my shoes remain clean, while others are always smeared with dirt. I videotaped my walk and realized that the reason was a large welt of brown boots. Drops of water flying up can get on the shoes only if they have a certain trajectory, which depends on the initial conditions (Cauchy problem). Now I am trying to create a mathematical model (ODEs) of this process in Mathcad. Who can help me? May be this problem was solved!
A google search indicates that since before 2010 CREO has been incapable of offering direct extrusion from a wrapped sketch. There are various work-arounds that exist which largely requires minimum 3-4 steps and it is not very stable. The most recent "solution" from PTC is CS82388 which takes 2 seconds to modify some parameters to see why it is not a solution: it does not translate/wrap around the cylinder beyond 180 degrees. In Solidworks you can literally extrude/cut directly from the wrap tool beyond 180 degrees, this is in just 1 step. So, PTC, you are very much behind your competitors, and have seemingly ignored your users for over a decade - when will extrusions from a wrapped sketch be introduced as it is not in CREO 10? I've got a complex assembly I cannot share directly, and I am trying to animate the actuation of the mechanism for a presentation.I am using explode states to add in/replace parts and actuate them as I'm not aware of a method for moving the mechanism to various pre-defined positions within the assembly constraints (which would be really nice, and I'm surprised if it is not an option) When trying to animate the opening of a door with an explode rotation, the path of the part as it transitions from state 1 to state 2 is not a simple pivot, but rather some eliptical mess. Is there:- A way to constrain movement between explode states?- A way to animate using various positions of objects related using assembly constraints (pin, slot, slider, etc)? Much thanks in advance for the insight.Dave
Are there any ideal parameter's that we need to pass from Creo Parametric to engineering notebook (Mathcad worksheet) and relatively the input parameter's from engineering book to Creo Parametric? I want to design helical gears and do the calculation part in engineering notebook can this be done? Design with engineering notebook
When I switch over to centerline mode in the harness package the center lines are not shown, however when I hover over them they highlight... any suggestions how to get them to show? I cant right click and edit to add a location to the segment in this manor, which is frustrating. I used to be able to see them at one point. When using show as thick cable it shows the cable without issue. I have found it to be a new config.pro setting I added "shade_with" I had set to no
Can creo map big font for CAD when exporting DWG files? such as map english font and big font at the same time
Where do I find Material ID for the materials present in material library. I want to use relations to assign values to material parameters like density, etc. For which I need material ID. MethodPTC_MASS_DENSITY:MTRL_ID. Please suggest me way to find material ID. Thank you in advance!
Hi. I have been trying to conduct flow analysis on a fan blade for quite a while now and I can't seem to get the right specifications. I have looked all over the internet and have only found flow analysis of internal structures, not external ones. I have tried so many things and can't seem to get it correctly. My project is due in a week and I am getting very stuck. Someone please help. Thanks
Hi there, recently i decided to create a specific restricted parameter to add in my start part.prti've followed the "external file" approach and i 've created a .txt with my parameter. Then i've updated my config.pro adding the path of the new file.Initially Creo (version 9.06) was not loading the file and i could understand why. After few trials i've found my issue. My configuration files were stored in a windows folder managed by nextcloud (the cloud storage software my company use ). By the time i moved the restricted parameters file into a local folder , (such as my desktop)Creo was perfectly able to load the file and use the parameter. My question here is how to keep the possibility to store the file among the other configuration files inside the cloud environment.Does Creo agent have anything to do with this?
do we have any training video/material from PTC to learn about Creo Tubing/Piping ? One of my project requirements, i need to create the flexible PVC hoses.
