Dear Community Is there a way to create a three dimensional patterns? Ideally with coordinate systems, for the orientation of the instances?Best wishes Alex
I would like to know why my image in my frame (.frm) keeps disappearing. The failure keeps coming and going and I can´t tell what the cause is. It is the same with drawings (.drw) when I insert an photo or image it may be lost by the next opening of the file. When I insert and image in a .frm it may be gone sometime and / or when I insert and image into an .drw I may be gone too. For .drw I recognized that not all pictures disappear. For example when I have 4 sheets in one .drw and sheet 2, 3 and 4 include images and the images on sheet 4 disappear the sheets 2 and 3 mostly (8/10) still having their images. In the object overview (.frm) in the layout tab I can see the object but not visually in the drawing area. I only can see a single "drag-point" outside of the frame / drawing (See attached screenshot). When I push the cursor above the point it shows me the vertical draging arrows but the point is completly frozen onto the layer and will not move whatsoever. How I insert an
Hi, We design painted parts and parts with surface finishes, where dimensions on drawings and annotated parts, are for the finished part. This causes a problem because when we send a step file to a supplier for machining, they must recreate a model and offset the surfaces to be the part "before manufacturing", they also need to create a control drawing with all of the corrected dimensions to control the part before painting or surface treatement.Does Creo propose an automated way to correct the 3d model and drawings to adjust the dimensions with a given offset? The same question goes for offset tolerances (10mm-0+0.1 for instance), suppliers will recreate a model and offset the surfaces to have a model with only mid-tolerance dimensions. Does Creo propose an automated way to correct dimensions to have only mid-toleranced parts?
Hello, I want to see a variable from an equation. But I did some practice, and I couldn't get any solution. Can you help me I attached the file. 🙂
I'd like to create parametric bom ballons for my connector pins. When i try and use the "Create Balloon" feature I get an error message stating "This is not a BOM ballon region."
Hello, I have this vector: I want automatically to eliminate duplicate elements, and to retain only those elements which are not duplicate from the vector: How to do this?
hello expert facing strange issue creo 10 unresponsive when save the part or open the new part or open the part from assembly. before 15 sept 2023 every thing is going fine creo 10 work smoothly.. but i don't know what happen ..creo 10.000 install with window 10 ..any solution please note..... one thing i found if i open the software with internet connection enable on my pc then problem occurred ..but if i unplugged the internet cable then start the creo ..problem gone ..and its happening from last 3 day before it every thing work perfectly with or without internet connection regards Asif
I'm currently facing a peculiar issue in Creo Parametric while working on a 3D part, and I'm hoping to get some guidance from you all. Here's the situation: I have two parallel lines that I'm working with. One line is part of a 2D sketch, created on a specific plane. The other line exists on the original 3D body of the part. When I select both lines to measure the distance between them, it's displaying as zero, which is obviously incorrect.I initially assumed that the line from the 3D body would automatically project onto the sketch plane, giving me the correct distance. It seems that isn't happening. My Questions Are:1. **Is the zero distance reading possibly a result of the lines existing in different planes?**2. **Does Creo Parametric automatically project 3D lines onto a 2D sketch plane for measurement, or do I need to do this manually?**3. **If manual projection is required, what are the steps to project a 3D line onto a 2D sketch plane?**4. **Once projected, how can I a
Hello, In Mathcad prime, when a value is looked up from an Excel sheet, the output will be placed in a square bracket , I assume it is an array. When I use the looked it up value and compare it with another value, it gives an error saying it must be a scalar. What do I need to do to the looked up value to make it a scalar? Thanks,Sam
I know that SHADE_QUALITY # will affect the resolution of the PVZ file, I'm looking for specific config.pro options outside of the recipe file. Thanks in advance!
I am adding explode lines to an explode view in Creo but I can't change the direction of the lines when they are pointing in the wrong direction. The flip button is greyed out.
Hi I am following the tutorial steps and I am trying to select the shading from display style for 2D. However, the system does not allow me to select it. Is t
Hello, I tried to calculate the Steinmetz coefficients as it was shown in another thread "Curve fitting", and I would like to know how to do a log-log plotting of the power density vs magnetic flux density.I would like to see how accurate is the formula from my calculations and how well I can match with the graph from the datasheet. Thank you!
Hello, How to count for how many duplicate elements (excluding the original element) exist in a vector and a matrix? So, as example if in t1 vector element 2 is present for four times, then element 2 has 3 duplicate (four times - 1 time for original element = 3 duplicate).
Hi, I'd like to reuse a variable's content in other worksheets. For this, I use a reference to this sheet. However, I'd like not to read the entire sheet, but only a specific variable. Does anybody know of a way to achieve this? Thanks in advance Raiko MathCad 15 on a 64 bit, win10 machine
when importing a step242 to Creo all of my MDB geometry for features such as hole and countersinks come as radius surfaces. Can someone explain how to import these features as full diameters? Thank you.
Using Creo 8 I am trying to create an assembly of electrical components on a din rail. The assembly includes various quantities of fuse blocks, circuits breakers, contactors and, but not limit to, relays. Each end of the din rail has a "stopper" which serves as a clamp to keep all the components in place. The left stopper is fixed, but the right must float to compensate for the type and quantity of components. As a simple example, I would have a din rail assembly with the left stopper, a fuse block, a contactor, a relay and the right stopper. The next option would not have the relay, so the end stopper would have to move next to the contactor.I have constructed 2 constraint sets for the right stopper and used a family table to manage them. I ran the parameters command and select parameters when adding the column in the family table. Verify was a success on both. When I look at them in the family table viewer, the right stopper seems to stay
Hello everyone! I have a problem understanding the selection filter in Creo 4.0 assembly mode. By default the filter (in assembly) is set to geometry and I was wondering If anyone has an explanation - Why did they implemented this change? What is the benefit? Why would anyone want to select geometry on assembly level? I couldn’t find any benefits but I did notice that this change caused an increase in number of clicks for most basic operations ( like component selection ). For example in Creo 3.0 if I wanted to select and activate a component that was on the inside of an assembly ( behind other components). Clicks: Right mouse button (until desired component is highlighted) Left mouse button to select the desired component Right mouse button - Activate Creo 4.0Clicks: Select selection filter Change the selection filter to part Right mouse button (until desired component is highlighted) Left mouse button to select the desired component Right mouse button - Activat
How can i add or remove components from groups in Creo parametric 6.0? Thank youJuan Gutierrez
I'm making a drawing of a model that was created by someone else. When I show the dimensions on the drawing - all of the symbols show up as square blocks. The numbers are fine, but the symbols for diameter, counterbore, depth etc. all show up looking like square blocks. Anybody know a reason why?
Hello, we have been using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to deploy software to the clients so they can install it "manually" without having admin access. Creo used to be installed with a silent install, users needed temporary admin access to execute a batch file that triggered the silent install. This year we finally managed to put Creo in the SCCM as well. Unfortunately it does not work very reliably. It's less a problem if a former Creo version had been installed on the computer, with new laptops it pretty much never works. IT found out that when using SCCM the installation happens with user "system" (session 0) and then fails. If executed manually, as a local admin, "session 1" is used and it works just fine. SCCM is not supported and I'm out of ideas how to share and deploy the software to 12 sites in 5 countries. How do huge enterprises with hundreds or thousands of seats do this?

Hello,How to draw Nyquist Plot in Mathcad Prime? For example: (Last 2 images are the same) For more info about Nyquist Plot: https://lpsa.swarthmore.edu/Nyquist/NyquistExamples.html
I am using Creo 7.0, I am trying to copy my config mapkeys in Text folder. But Creo is not loading the config files every time I open Creo.
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Using the support page https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r9.0/en/#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/partial_differential_equations_in_solve_blocks.html#wwID0EQ5E6The following solve block should work (// denotes beginning of new line, and | denotes limits of solve block):|// u(0,t)=0// u(x,0)=s(x*pi)+1/2*sin(x*3*pi)// u.t(x,t)=1/4*u.xx(x,t)-1/2*u.xx(x,t)// pdesolve(u,x,[0],t,[0],10,10)// [1] [1]|where the following is intended to represent a 1x2 matrix:// [0]// [1]Instead there is an error message: "this value must be a function"Here are the errors that I faced"this value must be a function" error when attempting to use pdesolve in the above context.
