Dear community, is it possible to export from Creo Illustrate to the format JT?I've seen there is an add-on for Parametric that adds the JT export format. Can it be done also with Illustrate? Or is it something that can be implemented worker side in windchill?We have the necessity to export in this format and we would like to explore the possibilities, if any... If I export in IGES or STEP, is there a recipe file to be edited in order to define export preferences? Thanks in advance

I'm using Creo 7 I've been trying to somehow combine the mechanisms feature with simp reps. Currently, I have multiple instances of a sub assembly in my top level assembly. The multiple instances are to show different stages of my machine. Each instance is shown in a different state (example cylider up/cylinder down / slide up/ slide down.  In the Solidworks world, I would just have multiple configurations and if I click on one it then shows me what I want to see. Is there a Creo Equivelant to this? The mechanisms feature sort of worked, except I had to drag all the components, then if I wanted to shown and hide items I then first had to exit mechanisms/hide/go back to mechanisms. Example SituationConfig 1) Cylinder up / gate open (I dont need to show it moving, just show it up and in postion with the ability to edit the view (hide/show) Config 2) Cylinder down/ gate close (same as the last item) Config 3) Cylinder down/ gate close/ cylinder 2 up&nbsp

I'm working w/ Creo 4.0 M150 thru a remote site VPN connection.  Models are coming out of Windchill.  Every 60 minutes, almost w/o fail,  there is a lag in the rotation of models on the screen. The only way to recover is to restart Creo.  However, from some testing, I've found that if I disconnect the network line or turn off wifi (if I'm using it), the lag will immediately disappear and everything is back to normal.  Reconnect the network and the lags reappears.  This issue does not appear when I'm at my desk, off the VPN. I've tried working w/ an offline connection to Windchill and that does not help.  I can't see any process going rogue and the network doesn't seem to be saturated either.   I've updated Nvidia drivers and all updates have been applied to this Dell 7760 laptop running Windows 10.  It's quite frustrating.  I know we are woefully out of date w/ our Creo install so any help appreciated. Thanks.

When open the model from the "Working Directory" (File -> Open), unable to see/add the properties/parameter column in the UI.But for the "Manikin Library" we can see different properties/parameters columns in "File open" dialog box. Please find attached snapshot.

1. How can I correct the highlighted functions so that they return 1.00 ft (see image below)?2. Are others experiencing similar issues in this version of Mathcad?3. Is this issue resolved in later versions of the program?Thanks!  

How does bonded interface in Creo simulate works like? Does it work similar to weld? Or it works as a contact? Or it will just not let the components penetrate into each other?

Apologies, this is more of a gripe than anything else. I've worked at a lot of places and there's some common things I always notice. Most companies don't use Creo Cabling and UDFs (User Defined Features), and for good reason. I've spent the past couple days trying to learn how to use UDF's but the only thing I've learned is that Creo makes it way too complicated to use. The upfront work to create and use UDFs aren't worth it. The user interface for that command is not intuitive and the process of selecting references are absurdly confusing. I'll stick with creating sketches and saving them to a library folder to use later.    -CR

I am attempting to run a rather simple finite element analysis on a stainless steel rod with a moment (0.1 Nm) applied on one end and a fixed constraint on the other end. The displacement result is not what I had expected and I do not believe it to be realistic (please reference the images). The end of the rod that has an applied moment expands radially. I am attempting to replicate a benchtop test and I know that the rod does not expand radially, instead, it simply rotates and the other end deforms. Am I missing a constraint somewhere? Should I be opting for a nonlinear analysis with large deformations?  Software: Creo 8.0 P.S.: I am much more familiar with ANSYS and am a new Simulate user so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I received the below error message while adding an isometric view to a drawing in Creo 7. The drawing opens fine to the last save point, but crashes whenever any change is implemented and subsequently terminates the program. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a resolution in the past? The traceback log is attached.    

Hello, everyone. For Creo 8, I am setting a repeat region to generate a BOM for my top level assemblies. Some of my concerns are: We have parts/sub-assemblies created in mm and in. We need to know the units used for length for each: parts and assemblies.For the parts that have already a mass value calculated, we need to know the mass units: kg or lbs. I have tried what is shown in this post but it didn't work. I have already done: Activated "units sensitive" option in relations manager.Created a totally new parameter that is related mass=pro_mp_mass to be units sensitive.Called for unit according to the post (link above), using &asm.mbr... and &mbr...; same result: nothing works. Any help will be very appreciated.Regards.   

I remember that in my last company the dimensions just showed, in drawings obviously, with the command "Show Model Annotation", had a different colour between the others, and they changed colour when I repinted the screen by becoming as the others. This thing has been useful because it allows to identify immediatly the last dimensions you've putted on the drawing and you can easily move/adjust by making more comprensible the drawing.Now, evidently, on my system it doesn't work. Can you help me?Thanks 

Hi,proMDlsave returns PRO_TK_general_error. and the model is not saving into workspace. But we can save it manually into the workspace and its worked. May I know why and what we can do to overcome this issue?   

Every time I enter into the simulate the regeneration taking too long time. Is there any technique to reduce regeneration time or can we pause it?

I would buy a single license if I could test the trial version.

Hello,    I created gyroid and diamond structure in Creo by Engineering -> lattice -> formula driven. Then I exported this to STL file and printed it... But now I need to do some analysys in Ansys... so I need igs format (because Ansys do not support STL to do analyses). Is the way how to convert structure from STL (or prt, where I creted this structure) to iges format ? Or how to solve this problem ? How to do analyses of minimal surfaces strucutre if I can not create solid model from them ?   Thank you for your answer and sorry for my english.  Have a nice day to all of you

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.0.0I was using Mathcad Prime to perform a series of calculations. After attempting to edit the amount of decimal places I wanted to display, the application froze and then crashed. Before crashing, the file I was working in had saved, however when I attempt to reopen the saved file, the application prompts me with the message written below in the "Error Messages or Warnings" section. I has saved my original file once I created it, however I had not periodically saved while working. The file that did save, saved as a new file on my computer. I was roughly 5 pages into the file and would like to recover my work if at all possible. Newbie question...if I have a matrix of data values as shown below, how can I get Mathcad to solve for the actual polynomial (or exponential) expression ? Or stated another way...can Mathcad provide the actual polynomial formula that would produce the graphed curve below based on the data provided. I am using MathCad V9.0.
