I bought a perpetual student license for Mathcad Prime 5.0 but I am having trouble activating it on a new machine. It seems that all old Prime versions got a free upgrade to 7.0 and I downloaded it but cannot activate my license (get a license file).I have an old license file that doesn't work because of the host id but when I try to get a new file here https://support.ptc.com/support/mathcad_supportCenterSingleUser.htmI get this message: "The trial program you are requesting is no longer available. Please visit the software product page on www.ptc.com to explore our latest versions."When I enter the product code into the installed license assistant, it fails to activate with the message: "Program ID already expired".I have sent tickets and emails in every way I cound find (months ago) and never got an answer.
Hello Community! I have a weird behavior on some models and can't understand where it can come from :With datum planes display toggle to off, I can highlight and select datum planes exactly like I would if the datum plane display was ON... Here under a gif of this behavior (I hope it will remain with this message...) :This behavior seems to be related to the model since I can't reproduce the problem on other parts or assemblies in the same Creo session. Have anyone seen that before? Any idea what could be the cause? Thank you in advance!
Hi Is there anyone to answer mine? I am facing an issue while assembling multiple sub assemblies. After gave a constrain to one sub assembly to another one. when i came out from edit definition assembly will goes to fixed position but we have one more degree of freedom. If i gave mate with any other, the sub assembly is not moving with respect to that one. How to solve this issue? any one answer............!!! Thankyou.
CREO 7 will not allow me to save and create a new model from a comparison model. Does anyone have a solution for how get around this?
Dowel pin should have the degrees of freedom of Rotation and Translation along the axis. As the stiffness does not affect along the axis of the pin. But it will act rigid in two other shear directions
Can I edit the default cosmetic thread note and its decimal places in Creo drawings?
Hello everybody. Is it confirmed that in CREO 7 the GCRI methodology is not supported anymore ? I can't find the "readnewermodels.dll" file. Thanks Pierluigi
Could someone help me to write simple loop enumerating a new L?
Sometimes it's helpful to be able to subtract a Creo Cabling assembly from solid geometry. Article - CS36069 indicates the way to do that is by exporting an IGES file of the cable and then re-importing that into Creo Parametric. It's not ideal, but it at least provides a way of doing this subtraction. Is there a way to directly reference the cabling geometry, as a Copy Geometry or Shrinkwrap feature, in a solid part and perform this boolean subtraction? Ideally the solid part would be able to reference the Cabling assembly directly, to maintain parametric relationships. Is the IGES export method the only option?
Hi Team, In creo by default there are 3 decimal places in all the dimensions or what we set to.I want to preset the hole dimensioning in creo model and drawing to '2' by default without affecting the rest of the dimensioning scheme. i.e. rest of the features follow default scheme of 3 decimal. Can anyone please let me know if there is a way to define custom decimal places only for holes? I would appreciate your help with it.
Hey All, PTC Creo Parametric Release 2.0 Date Code M170 I apologize if this is already covered but there is just a mountain of topics around family tables and instances - and none seemed to cover my issue that I could find. I'm pretty new to creo but have experience with solidworks, inventor, and autoCAD. I have a part file that has 2 family tables instances. I also have an assembly that also has its own 2 family tables instances that represent sub-assembly's. I also have a second assembly that has its own 2 family table instances that represent final assembly's. Each family table instance of the assembly includes a specific family table instance of the part file and sub assembly file. For example: part1.prt (generic) part1-01.prt (instance 1) part1-02.prt (instance 2) subassembly.asm (generic) subassembly-01.asm (instance 1), includes part1-01.prt subassembly-02.asm (instance 2), includes part1-02.prt assembly.asm
I am using Creo Schematics 7.0 7.0.0.0pdf export does not display properly dashed lines, labels, reports (text is within case on Creo but outside case in pdf export).Only workaround so far is to use third-party pdf printer (time consuming, especially with different documents with multiple pages to print)
According to the following link, Creo 7 reads configuration files in the following order: files in Creo loadpoint, in login folder, and finally in working directory.About Configuration Files (ptc.com) I want to put my own config in the login folder but could not find it. I saved a config file in C:\Users\myusername, but it does not work. Does anyone here use login folder to save configuration files? I would be very appreciate it if you give me some advice on this.
Dear Community members, Does anyone have information about the cost involved for Creo Pro/Toolkit license cost. I am planning to kick start a development effort on the creo Pro/Toolkit (+ Object toolkit side). I would be interested to know the cost involved for following APIs. Would you someone can help with me. Also please refer the attachment for the specific information I am seeking. Toolkit Web.link JLink VB Api Object Toolkit C++ Object Toolkit Java
Hi all,I have a big assembly of an Engine Test-Rig, with multiple parts and components. recently when I regenerate the model the assembly fails to retrieve with message “The connection "xxxxx" will be suppressed because of invalid constraint(s)”.and when I save it save it gave me a conflict message "Model is not regenerated"is it normal, and how can I solve this problem?
Hello! In our company we use Creo Parapetric for modelling of energy-cabinets.Now we want to create renderings for use as product-pictures.It must not be very high-quality pictures with lights and so on.Is there any possibility to do this without the rendering-licence? My second question is about the file-types which can be created out of Creo. What we actually need is an isolated (cropped?) image with a transparent background. So that we can put it on variant templates (for print-use, for web-use...). Is there any possibility to do this out of Creo? I would be happy if you had best practice examples for me! Best regards,John
Hello everybody,I was trying to calculate reactions on the supports of a shaft. In particular, the shaft has an eccentricity on one side, and is supported by two bearings. Moreover, the motion of the shaft is imposed by a drive motor linked by a spur gear connection,Using Creo Mechanism I tried to model the supports with a bearing connection and a gimbal connection, in order to have 0 Redundancies. I attach a simplified version of the model I would like to analyze. In this particular case of eccentric shaft, the reactions calculated by Creo are completely different from the values I would expect. If I try to suppress the eccentricity of the shaft, instead, the reactions become correct. It seems that, for some reason, Creo doesn't succeed in calculate eccentric shaft reactions on a shaft constrained in this particular way.Is there anybody that can explain me this behaviour or even better, can help me find a way to correctly calculate these reactions? Thank youEleonora &
Hello, I am trying to do a "list" of numbers in Mathcad, like that :(4.6, 5.6, 8.8). It is for programming purpose as I want to do an "If" condition if my variable is equal to one of those values. What I really want to do is get α_v in function of the grade of the bolt and if the shear stress passes through the threaded portion of the bolt (see pic).
Can a published and copied geometry from one skeleton model be extruded into another model? For instance, I published and copied viewing window geometry from Z model to V model, is it now possible to extrude and remove material on V model with this geometry? If yes, can anyone explain how? (Please refer to the attached screenshot)
Need to replace a string by a string in drawing notes in creo parametric toolkit 4.0. The drawing contains 5 sheet, need to replace a particular string by another string in all 5sheet. Please suggest API.
Hello. I'm running a similar analysis, and currently, I'm facing problems to decrease the dynamic effects. @ptc-4639841, about this Dynamic Analysis that you've mentioned, have you compared the values with the Static condition? In my model, if I run a Dynamic Analysis, the pin "X" of my 4-bar system will get ~18000 N, but if I use Force Balance, this same pin (in the same equipment position) results in only ~14800 N. I have run the analysis with 0,1 mm/s using relative tolerance of 1E-5, and friction is turned off. The accelerations at the fastest point of my mechanism are small. Magnitude and mm/s². The peak in the graph occurs when one cylinder stops and the second starts. At the position mentioned before, the graph gives me 0,00075 mm/s². Sadly, I don't have the BMX license to try James' solution using Multi Objective. Do you have any idea why, even with these small velocity and accelerations, the difference between dynamic and static is so big? Thanks! &
Hello! My name is Cosmin and I have a problem so I hope somebody can give me a solution.. I cant open this document . I have Mathcad Prime 5.0.0.0 . Please someone can convert for me ! Thank you !!!
I am trying to use simple equation but getting error Is there anything I am missing over here
Can anyone help me with a simple programing to help me plot my stress-strain plot. I am really bad at programming, and I hope you could give me some pointers. Already tried watching tutorials and I still do not know how to proceed, Thank you in advance.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0added line to hole file but it does not read it.
