Codebeamer

I would like to create a re-usable choice field. When working on multiple projects, is there a way to implement a choice field into each of the trackers I am working in without having to individually create each option every time? I understand that I could do this by creating a tracker that has my options in it, but then I would lose some of the functionality of say... the Type field where Folder and Information Types display differently from the rest. Is there an out of the box solution for this? In Jama, there are Pick-Lists which can be referenced anywhere throughout the project and re-used as needed. I am looking for something similar to this feature

Following situation:Tracker A has a field that references items from tracker B.An item of tracker A (A*) is created. The field is set to point to several items of tracker B (B*1, B*2, B*3)The History of item A* now shows that the reference field changed value from nothing to (B*1, B*2, B*3).Now delete item B*2Now the History of item A* now shows that the reference field changed value from nothing to (B*1, B*3). (The same version as before)Expectation: We need the reference for the above scenario

We need to expose the installed Codebeamer from outside of system , from any Public network so that we can integrate codebeamer with any Application like Git, Jira, Windchill etc.

Hello Community,I am trying to figure out where in database (MySql) is stored User Group Memberships for particular user account. I found table "acl_role" but this seems to be related to project only.Goal is to create a query which link user_id with it's roles/memberships in Codebeamer.  thank you

Hello Community,is it possible in Codebeamer to share resources across multiple projects?I have two projects in Codebeamer which use the same machines for tasks like mixer, heater, plumber, etc.I want to avoid to define machines in both (or more) projects, so looking for a way how to place them in one place and share it across projects.Additionally change for resource in Project A will be visible also in shared resource and Project B and vice versa.   thank you

I’ve installed Codebeamer 22.10 LTS inside a Docker container, but I’m encountering the following error:Cache: oauth2StateCache has a maxElementsInMemory of 0. This might lead to performance degradation or OutOfMemoryError at Terracotta client. From Ehcache 2.0 onwards this has been changed to mean a store with no capacity limit. Set it to 1 if you want no elements cached in memory.I attempted to resolve this by modifying the ehcache.xml file, which is located inside the JAR at:/home/appuser/codebeamer/tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib/cb-22.10-LTS.jarThe original configuration was:I replaced it with the following configuration:However, the error persists. Additionally, any changes I make are lost when the container restarts, since the file resides inside a JAR.Please help me how to reslove this issue. Thanks

Hello, I have a question, is there any way to set "Any status" in the "Downstream References" bookmark in item as a default search value? Right now, by default, cB is always showing only "Unresolved" items there:As I remember, in older versions of cB (i.e. 21.09) there was a "Any status" option as a default option.

I have to migrate RV&S data to Codebeamer, In RV&S we were not using Test Step and entering Expected Result in a custom field. In Codebeamer, I created a custom field called Expected Result, but it doesnt get displayed in Test Run Wizard.

I would like to "Report Bug" in a project different from that of the currently executing Test Run. When I select Report Bug from a Test Run, the Project dropdown only contains the project in which the Test Run is located. I would like to report the bug in a different project. I am using CodeBeamer 22.10 SP 4.

I wanted to inquire about how customizable Test Runs are within Codebeamer, specifically the backend functionality, to accept custom data that is not limited to the out-of-the-box Codebeamer template, but rather a custom Excel, or something along the lines. The company I work for develops several types of software. I provide help with using CodeBeamer.Responsible for everything from simple instructions on how to use them to contacting PTC for answers to complex issues.   If a user closes the browser while editing an item, the item will be locked and cannot be edited for the duration of the user's session. It is common to close the browser without properly ending editing. In this case, users think that the content being edited will not be reflected and will end (editing will end), but in reality, not only will editing end, but editing by other users will also be blocked.   This is a kind of careless mistake. But it happens more often than you might think.When a user closes the browser and leaves, other users have to wait a long time to edit that item. This wastes unnecessary time for the user. Even more so since the session time cannot be reduced to less than 1 hour. If you close the browser in Edit Mode, is there a way to unlock

I am exporting requirement from tracker to ms word using mail merge. Using Codebeamer 3.0I want to populate all functional requirement in a table. To achieving it , . I am applying condition “if_not_folder_informations” in the bookmark, but functional requirements are not populating in table. I am trying to create a review form for our requirement reviews importing from an excel sheet. I wanted to have a cell that had a drop down list of values. I also had 2 cells that took a time input and in a third cell gave the difference in time. I was wondering if it were possible to import these items into Codebeamer from my excel sheet.
