Hello, I would like to insert a view into a drawing, and that works so far. The view should have the same orientation as in the 3D model, e.g. front, top, bottom, etc. How can I pass the predefined 3D view name when creating the view, or assign it later? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm using Excel VBA.
Been a few release since I used Creo last. I don't remember having to hold control when picking entities for dimensions. You could, but it wasn't mandatory. Am I mistaken?
Welcome to Third Angle, where we’re revving into the world of motorcycles! Today, we're exploring the fascinating world of electric motorcycles with a spotlight on the Maeving Motorcycle Company, supported by PTC partner Concurrent Engineering. Its latest model, the Maeving RM1S, is a significant upgrade from the RM1. With twice the power and a top speed of 70 miles per hour, it’s designed for urban commuters and those who travel beyond the city limits. Our producer, Helen Lennard, had the opportunity to meet with co-founder Seb Inglis-Jones, who gave her a demo of their latest model, the Maeving RM1S. It draws inspiration from the 1920s and the café racer era of the 1960s and 70s, epitomized by icons like James Dean and Steve McQueen. It’s a testament to innovation and design, echoing the rich motorcycle heritage of Coventry, where British manufacturers have been designing and manufacturing bikes since the late 19th century.
I am trying to create an app using Object Toolkit C++ and run it using spawn mode (exe). I have tried with DLL and it works, but when I compile to exe and change the creotk.dat file to startup spawn it does not work anymore. After having registered the app in auxiliary applications, pressing start causes Creo to freeze and then crash. My additional dependencies in the Visual studio solution is : otk_cpp_md.libotk_222_md.libprotkmd_NU.libMy creotk.dat is as follows: name ObjectTest startup spawn #toolkit object #creo_type direct exec_file C:\Users\SENY5612\source\repos\ObjectToolkitTest\x64\Debug\FindNumberAnnotate.exe text_dir .\text allow_stop true delay_start false end My source code is as following (for now it is more or less empty as you can see): #include <wfcSession.h> #include <pfcGlobal.h> #include <pfcCommand.h> #include <pfcUI.h> #include <pfcExceptions.h> #include <wfcClient.h> #include <
What i mean is is it possible to use map key or tool kit or create a batch file so that whenever i open a sheet metal part and run a command it gives me perimeter of the part. which is basically cut length which will be used to calculate tonnage. Thanks!
How to fix when surface despaired from 3D Creo 9.0 Model after performing Solidify Remove Material? The surface is not hidden in the layers. I clenched that. CAn somebody hgel with that issue?
Hello everyone, I am very new to this software and am going through as much online training as I can. I had a trail version a few weeks ago and I was able to add simple equations to the dimensions as I added them to the drawing for example: 3 1/2 * 2 which should set the part to 7” Since I’ve installed the new software it says this. hope you can help I can’t find an answer anywhere, I want the dimensions to show as 7” or 3 1/2 is this possible?
Folks 1st question: Can i bend this seam into a flange using the spinal bend or similar feature? I tried using the sheetmetal flange, but it will only bend it by sections, maybe because is not a continuous feature but modeled in several flanges. I want to bend the whole seam 1/2" long, this way: 2nd question: Can I bend a symmetrical flange created in sheetmetal into a non-symmetrical flange? Side view of the non-symmetrical flange (for illustration purposes)The front view looks like thisfront view thanks
Hello, I am trying to build element tree of pattern table in creo toolkit C++ . I have dimensions stored in a vector. I am facing issue in assigning the first instance. Is there any sample code to refer for building element tree of pattern table? What is correct method to set the values in first instance?
Creo Flow Analysis How to calculate the drag coefficient,What are the steps!thanks。
Dears, I have little experience with PTC software, especially with CREO FLOW ANALYSIS. Would it be possible to clarify a question I have?I need to carry out an analysis of a fertilizer distributor using DEM technology, similar to the one demonstrated in the video available at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj_51S7k_sM. Is it possible to carry out this analysis using the "CREO FLOW ANALYSIS" tools?Thank you in advance for your attention. Sincerely,Tales Eduardo Zorzenon
I'm looking for an example of how to setup a flow analysis of a server rack. The server rack has external air flow inside the rack then directed to specific servers which includes fans and the directed to an external exhaust air outlet. I have not been able to find an example of a flow analysis model resembling this. Is there anyone that has an example they could share or point me too. Thanks
Is anyone kind of enough to help me model and share the file of a simple water spray bar, (straight pipe with holes) and apply a volumetric flux on the inlet and maybe 2 outlets atm pressure? I want to try and model and assess the geometry on the spray trajectories? is that possible? CREO 10 premium edition
Hello all, would love some help on this if possible. I am very new to Creo, done about 5/6 hours elearning but still stuck, i have been given a set of files which i want to dissect and get back to a possition where i can send parts off to be laser cut. as you can see from the attached file / photo the file is made up completely. I would like to get back to the sides, bottom etc. (if that makes sense). I have access to the .prt files and the .pkg files. from the owner who designed this in creo a number of years ago. Thank you in advance, i have tried a number of things but i am a bit out my depth here 🙂
This is a document so please edit it and add, correct, &/or clarify how you see fit. Then we can all use this as a point of reference when dealing with Repeat Regions/BOM programming. If you don't want to edit it but still want to contribute, then just leave a comment. Thanks! As shown in image I want to draw a part. Part includes external skeleton model (called out by merge/Inheritance feature).I want to minimize the area shown with yellow color. It should be as per Desh line (green color). I have tried with partial view, but it shows the error after increasing the side of component beyond the defined boundary. Is there any settings which change the area based on hidden item? Here skeleton model is called out by merge because I want to call the dimension in drawings, by import geometry, dimensions did not appear.
Hi, ProSelect dialog goes back , can not be top. User can not check ProSelect processing is stopped. (if ProSelect dialog was hidden status.) so we try to make ProSelect dialog position in top. 1. using timer callback function. 2. using ProSelectionPostSelact Funtion. method 1 is worried about performance about timer func and creo work. method 2 is not work if select item is not matching filter. if you guys have good idea, please help us. thank you.
good morningI have a problem in my Creo version 7when I create sections in the presence of imported objects the sections show lines that should not appearI need to work with objects imported from Step and Iges of a fair amount of complexity. Therefore I cannot fix the errors and I let broken solids and surfaces be created. In the images that I post below the view from 3d is shown in "no hidden" view and the section of the 2d model, as you can see the section shows the objects as if they were in "wireframe" view In the definition of the "view display" view it is marked "no Hidden" and it is actually like this for all the solids of the drawing that I created, but not for the imported objectsIn the definition of the "section" view by selecting model edge visibility>area the section correctly shows only the sectioned volumes I definitely need to solve this problem because in some sections it is not possible for me to work correct view in 3d section bad view in 2d sect
How do you always get the correct Length and Width value of the flat pattern bounding box in a parameter designated for Windchill? Creo automatically generates the feature parameters SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_LENGTH and SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_WIDTH within the flat pattern feature. With a simple relation such as "FP_LENGTH = SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_LENGTH:FID_[FID]" this can be copied to a user-defined parameter which can be designated for Windchill. So far, so good. However, the issue is with regeneration without having the flat pattern activated (supressed). This doesn't update the parameters and wrong info is sent to Windchill. Even when going through a cycle of activating the FP, regenerating the model, returning to the bend state (FP feature suppressed), the parameters will often return to an old value. The issue here is that the SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_LENGTH/WIDTH parameters don't seem to exist when the FP feature is suppressed. Is there a way to always get the correct value from the
Are people using Object Toolkit (C++)? We have several Creo custom utilities written with Toolkit (C), but I was curious if other developers have switched to using Object Toolkit (C++) when possible. Here's my current understanding of the 2 APIs: Toolkit (C) Pros: The API wizard HTML is great (<creo_loadpoint>\Common Files\protoolkit\protkdoc\index.html) Ability to search for API commands and to click on hyperlinks for more information. Easy to find example code on many of the older APIs (sadly many of the newer Toolkit (C) APIs don’t have example code). I believe Toolkit (C) has more API commands than Object Toolkit (C++). Can still use C++ code with the Toolkit (C) code. Toolkit (C) Cons: Strings are overcomplicated. (char vs wchar_t, ProLine, ProName, ProMdlName, etc.). If PTC changes the length of a string (ex: ProName (32) to ProMdlName (180)) then you may have to make updates your code. Memory management – need to allocate and free memory. Can lead to a
Hello all, I am trying to change a configuration option using C++ toolkit. But I am facing issue to know the correct syntax. Can anybody please provide me with syntax?
Is there a way to see the material definition for a step file in Creo View?In Creo 10, I am able to select the option for "Material Definition" when I create the step file. However, after exporting the step file and opening it in Creo View, I don't see any way to view the materials I had original defined in Creo 10
Hi,I have installed CREO Parametric version 11.0.0.0.0 on my Lenovo Thinkpad P53s on Windows 10 and I am experiencing a severe performance issue (I had the same problem with version 9.0.0.0 by the way) Characteristics of my Laptop :Operating System : Windows 10 Pro version 22H2Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8665U CPU @ 1.90GHz 2.11 GHzInstalled RAM : 48.0 GB (47.7 GB usable)GPU 0 : Intel UHD Graphics 620GPU 1 : NVIDIA Quadro P520 GPU1Problem Description :When moving a model on the screen or simply opening menus in CREO application, the graphic suddenly freezes for one or two seconds, making the work really annoying. I have several part files in session. In all but ONE file, I can select multiple features in the model tree and group them. What prevents the ability to select multiple features in the model tree?Post note:Re-starting Creo, then the issue for that singular model is resolved. This phenomena re-occurs every now and then with random models.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0Arial WGL is offsetting the limit tolerance. Is there anyway to align the upper + and lower - tolerance? Also the mu symbol in the micrometer is not displaying when convert to PDF. Please help.
