We are upgrading to v8.0.8.0 of Creo Parametric and need to certify the FlexLM 11.16 I have downloaded the latest FlexLM, and was wondering if I need to request a temporary license of Creo Parametric, or if I can download from the site and just provide our test server instead of the production server. I have an issue with Creo Parametric 11 - Once I hide a part, there is no way for me to save the visibility status. Take the following steps as an example:Open assembly with 2 partsHide 1 partAttempt to save ("save part" works, but "save (visibility) status" is greyed out)Further info: Once I hide parts, I can see them under the "Hidden items" under the layer tree, yet I still cannot "save status".Close part (Including erase not displayed, close creo, etc.)Reopen part. (Once the part is reopened the hidden part is no longer hidden.)I used to do this on Creo 7 constantly. Has this changed? Is there another way to do this now with the visibility/layer tree status? I do not want to use simplified reps, because I want to hide many parts quickly and then go back to my original view by using a "reset status" mapkey. Simplified reps take too much time (or too many clicks per part rather than hide), especially on large assemblies.
I am trying to find the easiest way to make a pdf and dxf of a sheet metal part in creo 8. The current way I achieve this is by having a part and drawing with the same name and then a separate drawing with partname-dxf. This dxf drawing is not copied when a new part is generated when save a copy is used. Is there a way to have this extra drawing copied as well. The pdf is needed by our break press operator to show bend locations. The dxf we make is of the part in saved flat view with hidden lines removed for a machine to cut out that can only read dxf files. I have been thinking of ways to add this dxf drawing to the drawing that that shares the part name, however this comes with problems of its own.1. The drawing format we use has number of sheets in the corner, so by adding the dxf drawing increases the number of sheets. I was able to set the total to a parameter in the drawing but then it has to be set manually if the drawing pages increases. is there a way to change the
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.2.0Since a couple of week tthe font displayed in the embedded browser window appears in bold format and I can't set it to normal.
After launch of EZ tolerance, whenever I select the first surface to find the clearance the application throws Fatal error pop up and get closed on it's own.
As per the original post. Hi JB_87049 I am also receiving same error but I am not getting what does it mean to issue command protk_unlock.bat test.dll. Should I open this batch file protk_unlock.bat and write somewhere this command? Please can you help me this?
Hi All, I know the basics of creating a section view. i am trying to get a specific section view if possible? below are images. I want to cut a section view on this part shown in the first image just like this with the arrows placed the way it is, but only show this specific part and not the whole part (shown in image 2). how can I do this? I tried so many ways, but cannot do it. the only way to do this is by creating a square cut to only obtain that area. by doing this, the arrows on the main view will be weird( Image 3 & 4). is there a possibility? thank you all
corner1corner 2I have a sheetmetal part, where i try to achieve uniform corner gab between 0.1 - 0.4 mm so that i can do minimum weld to get best finish. But i am not able to get uniform corner gap, and also getting interference. need to know any option is there or workaround is there? i also have attached the creo .prt file for your reference.Creo version 10.0.3
Hi,I am using an Async Java App with my Creo 8. The app adds a few commands and buttons on the Global Menu in Ribbon. Whenever I am using the app, the annotation shows sluggish behavior, like, if I type a sentence in the Note, each alphabet takes around 1 sec to be typed. This only happens when my async java app is running, if I disable that app, the sluggish behavior goes away. Any help? Thanks.
Hello, I work for a large company with many designers who all work in the same models. Last year, I incorporated pro program parameters to configure top level General Assemblies. It works great because you get a pop up menu & can just paste in numbers from a spreadsheet (much easier than manually replacing). The problem is, when another designer runs a project & creates new models, my pro program breaks & errors out. Creo doesn't know how to find the new interchanges & it takes quite a bit of expertise to fix it every time (not feasible with over 100 designers working at a given time). Here is a short example of some of the pro/program that I added, with unneeded details removed for confidentiality. I am looking for advice on a better way to manage the pro/ program for configuring assemblies so that a designer cannot break it just by replacing one of my interchange assemblies with an unrelated interchange. Hi,I have created an External Simplified Rep from my assembly and created a drawing for it. I am now trying to do the same with an opposite hand version of this assembly and I get the following message when I try to save and upload to Windchill: "External Simplified Representation "xxx.asm" cannot be saved. ID passed in the rule is not found in the member dependency of "xxxx.asm"." Has anyone ever dealt with this and were you successful in finding a solution?
Hi, I want to know how to create the surface finish symbol in creo drawing using object toolkit or protoolkit. Please give some code to create it. thank you
HelloI have this restricted value parameter definition set in Creo 8. { Name = TOLLERANZA_GENERALEType = stringdefault = 'ISO 2768-mK'Enum = {'ISO 2768-mK','ISO 2768-fH','ISO 2768-cL'}Access = full}, I thought that with the option "access=full" you could change the entered value as you wish in Creo with the possibility of choosing a value not included in the list, entering it from the keyboard. But it seems that this is not the case. The only possible values are those of the list.So what is the meaning of "access=full"?
Hi team,I am converting Drafting sheet into PDF with pentable file. While exporting there's an error appears like "\Pentable.pnt : Syntax error on line 8" but the file saved as pdf. I can get the pdf file. I have separate pentable file in notepad. I don't know whether the line 8, 9& 10 can be used or not. Can anyone explain me the following format of Pentable is correct or any corrections to be made? pen 1 thickness 0.04 cm; color 0.60 0.20 0.10pen 2 thickness 0.01 cm; color 0.350 0.00 0.10pen 3 thickness 0.015 cm; color 0.00 0.100 0.00pen 4 thickness 0.02 cm; color 050.00 200.00 0.00pen 5 thickness 0.03 cm; color 100.00 0.000 100.00pen 6 thickness 0.013 cm; color 0.2 0.00 0.00pen 7 thickness 0.013 cm; color 0.00 0.00 0.00pen 8 thickness 0.013 cm; color 0.00 0.00 0.00pen 9 thickness 0.013 cm; color 100.00 0.00 0.00pen 10 thickness 0.013 cm; color 0.00 0.00 0.00 Thank You...
Even when I try to sketch and select the plane from the left, it won't let me sketch, nothing which I draw is visible. Is there any fix to this?
Does anyone know how to make subconnectors in Creo Schematics? The Creo page on subconnectors is kind of vague to me. I've messed around trying to get it to recognize my ports as subconnectors, but it's not working.Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!Schematics 4.0Creo 9.0.3
I have created assembly with skeleton model. I have assigned a parameter part_thickness=0.179 in the skeleton model. Now I want to create a part with this thickness value with this parameter (which is define in the skeleton model). How to import parameter which is created into the skeleton part, to the part part file?
The suggested techniques to disable the new version pop up to messages is problematic as I have users around the globe that have different .psf files for various reasons. Manually going in and changing it for each user around the globe doesn't make much sense either. Can there be a config.pro option to disable this functionality vs. modifying the .psf file or browsing to the General Setting dialog to disable. I push a config.sup everytime the users launch Creo from a globally common location so that is the most desirable way to turn off this functionality. So there is no confusion, an image of the message I want to disable is attached.
I am on Creo parametric 7.0.10Here is my problem. I am trying to export a clean DXF from a curve inside a part. I need the dxf to have no notes and be at scale 1 for cnc machining. I need to do this for many parts so wanted to automate it or speed it up somehow. To speed up the process of exporting, I created a drawing template with the view "Front" set to scale 1. I then created a mapkey to open the part as a drawing with the template, then save as dxf. My issue is that doing it this way creates a note for the scale of the view "Scale 1.000".I would like to not have this note. I tried removing the set scale of the view in the template and use mapkey to set the drawing scale before exporting, but I was not able to get mapkey to modify the drawing scale.I also was not able to find an option to not have the note show up in the template view. If there is a better way to export DXF files from part files I am also open to changing my method.
When I try to open CREO 10-0-3-0 I get this error, I've removed flexnet and everything, creo still won't open
Hi, i have a part where i am using copy geometry(external). I put in the assembly i want to reference, deselect Publish Geometry, and then choose Bodies and select the body i want to reference. I want to hide the body when i'm all done. Creo is not hiding the body. I have created a new layer and hidden the layer but that isn't working either. See screenshot attached. The Tubing should be the only piece that is visible. Creo 8.0.10.0Thanks
Is there a way to create a copy of an existing assembly for a new part number, as well as the drawing, while maintaining the link between the new part number and drawing? I tried to make a copy of each, but when I look at the new drawing, it still references the old assembly.
I would like to know how to bring the Alternative Mass properties from Assemble to Creo Mechanism I'll put an image to simplify. I will provide the context for why this is the case: I have an assembly with several parts that have the standard density, but I know the total weight of the assembly. In config pro I have already requested to calculate the moment of inertia according to the geometry, the image is also attached.
Has anyone utilized Selenium to automate the Windchill interface within the Creo Parametric embedded browser? I recently started experimenting with this concept and it seems promising. FYI: I'm using Python, Selenium, and the Chrome web driver.
In a drawing in creo I am creating a notes section, but some of the notes are boxed. When adding a box, the height of the row increases from the text height. This causes horizontal misalignment in the column to the right. How can I add a box without adjusting the row height? Can the height of the box be reduced without adjusting font size?
