Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Working in Creo 10 I have a note on a drawing that I need to call out a combined surface area for two separate areas on the part. With single surface areas I like to drive the note parametrically by creating a measure feature in the model and referencing it in the drawing note with "&AREA:FID_XXXXXX[.1].Which ends up with this, which is what I want.However, to have both surface areas in one note I have to add them manually and input them as text, non-parametric. I've been trying various takes on this: "&area:fid_xxxxx1+xxxxx2" with no luck. Does anyone know how to combine both values into one parametric note?

Each time it is a random name, for example "bg-hpul3.bat".The file has a different name and SHA each time. Hello, Does anyone know if Creo 8 or 11 will display higher than 1080p. We are getting new offices and are trying to decide on new monitors. Does anyone know if 1440p is worth it from experience when you mainly use Creo?  Thanks in advance, Lex

Hello, When you buy a Creo Licence, they add a creo "home use" licence. If i install this licence on my personal computer, can I make commercial use of it ? But without any link with my employer who purchases the initial Creo license for my work. Concrete example :- I work in a design office of a private company with a Creo license. So i have a "home use" license in addition. On my personal time, the week-end for exemple, on my personal computer (no connection with my employer). Is it possible to design parts, print it in 3D and sell it with self-employed or independent status ? Thanks in advance.

I have the huge assembly. One of the drawing view have local section. The option "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" - set as "trim". In this case the section is shown correctly, but some cables are not visible or partially visible. When I change option  "remove_cosms_from_xsecs" to "total", then  all cables become visible, but section looks strange. Please see attached picture: there are shown displaying with different settings. Maybe somebody knows the secret trick how to make all thick cables visible and at the same time so that the local section is displayed correctly?I use Creo 9.

Hello everyone,I am encountering an issue with importing JT files into Creo Parametric 7.0.12.0 (also tested in Creo 11) that specifically affects parts. During the import process, hyphens ("-") in part names are automatically replaced with underscores ("_"). Interestingly, this behavior does not occur with assemblies and sub-assemblies, where hyphens are retained (please see attached images).Is there a way to disable or modify this behavior so that hyphens in part names are preserved? Perhaps a hidden option in the configuration files (config.pro) or any other solution that someone might know?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance!Kurt

A weld symbol on a drawing specifies all around but it needs to be changed. The weld symbol was created in older version of Creo (4.0 or Wildfire 5.0) but where is this option located so it can be removed.. What is being overlooked?

I am trying to run a structure mode analysis for a support plate assembly i have put together. Ive put together an assembly (fully constrained, and all part materials are defined) but I keep getting errors saying that i have cracks in my model.  This prevents me from running any sort of simulation. Ive looked online as to what creo means by cracks and from what i see.  "A crack exists in the model, probably caused by adjacent placement of free or contactinterfaces and bonded interfaces in a configuration that results in multiple coincidentcurves connecting the same pair of nodes. Please modify the interfaces to avoid this."Im unsure of what to do since everything is fully constrained.  nothing is overlapping or has any duplicate parts, and i cant really put the braze in that will hold everything together when this is manufactured. because of this, alot of the assembly has .002 or the like spacing.

I have some old custom symbols that I have used throughout the years. Did something change in Creo 9 as to how the parameters are edited/filled in? If I load the template custom symbol, I do not get the various parameters to fill in (or at least I am not aware of their presence). When I copy and paste a custom symbol from another drawing to a new drawing, I cannot find a way to edit the value of the parameter. Hello, we have a problem in a company with workflow using PTC Creo and Windchill.In attached assembly there is a mechanism of a theoretical machine. We want to be able to check for collision in different configurations during design process in different machine configurations. So we've created snapshots of those mechanisms using mechanical constratraints and checked in whole assembly. Since than there is no possibility to move with any parts at all. We can't activate any of snapshots while it's not checked out or continued. We need have to move mechanism during design process while it's checked in. For example we create new tool that will hang on paralelogram and during design process there is a huge need to always check if there are collisions and stuff around for safety purpose. Why we don't wont to use continue options and check out. those model are in it's final state and there are no changes needed to apply to them so data has to stay in it's initial shape before checkin

I have a multi-sheet assembly drawing where I have several projected views on one sheet and an exploded view on another sheet. The projected view balloons are driven off one repeat region and the exploded view balloons are driven off a second repeat region. Everything works fine but I find it incredibly annoying and extremely time consuming that I need to pick the repeat region before I pick and place the balloon when more than one repeat region exists in the drawing. Is there a way to set the default repeat region for balloons so it doesn't continue to ask you to pick the repeat region each time?
