Creo+ and Creo Parametric

The problem is the following: at some point, the edges of the parts in assembly become invisible in the view; only the hatching that belongs to them is visible. The section in the view is offset type, created by the sketch. These edges become visible only with ticked view setting "Model edge visibility" - "Area", but not visible with "Total" (but should be!).If I create a new view and assign the same offset section, the view is correct. But I would like to use old view, becouse it have assigned boms and hatching properties. What I tried to fix this:1. Updating view/sheet - it didn’t help2. tried to change the section sketch references - it didn’t help3. tried excluding and then including parts from the list of cut parts - it didn’t help4. tried to hide, then show all layers of the view - it didn’t help5. tried to assign a display style for all edges by default - did not help. the similar question not help 

I'm trying to turn this hole into a slot. I tried placing a palette over the hole but it doesnt snap. Is there a way to make it snap over perfectly? or do I have to line them up manually? Using Creo 10.

Hello, For parts or subassemblies that have been suppressed via Pro/Program is there any way to resume these parts or features without modifying the code to un-suppress these items via Pro/Program? If you go to Model-Operations-Resume this screen is greyed out since the parts have been suppressed via Pro/Program. I have some assemblies that I would like to "Save a Copy" to use.  I would like for all of the parts to come along, but suppressed items do not come along with the "Save a Copy" option.  So I am looking for a quick brute force way to un-suppress all without having to go into the Program to manually do it.  Another point, is some users do not have DesignAdvP license so I would like for them to be able to un-suppress all without having the ability to open the Pro/Program code.   I am on Creo 9 Thanks!

Hello Everyone, I am facing a problem with 'Dimension Cleanup' in drawing using the VB API.I am fetching dimensions from the 3D Model and placing them in the drawing using the VB API. However, these dimensions are placed in random positions on the drawing, so I need to clean them up and move them to the correct positions for the particular view.Please share if you have any ideas.   

HiIs there any possible way to delete or move this option  "Expand All" from this model tree menu?I constantly work with very large assemblys, and it happens a lot, when i want to collapse all features, i miss the button and end clicking on "Expand All"This results on long waits, sometimes 5 minutes or more before i can continue workingThanks!

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150When modeling features with very high aspect ratios, there is an issue where the thin remaining parts of the geometry disappear when removing material using the extrude cut function.

Dear community. I have an issue with a high of energy comsumption by SYSTEM proces after CREO is running.After the CREO is not in use, the SYSTEM proces works properly. Does any one meet similar issue?Any solution? I'm using CREO 7 + Wind chill on Win10. Thanks in advance.

Downloading the Creo 10 and doing the installation process with everything downloading with a warning. Then trying to open Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0 the traceback file says there is a crash. How do you fix this issue? I am using parallels pro on a mac pro. I have installed visual C++ and Jarva 11 to sort out some other problems I was having. Thank you in advanced.

Hi,I'm using IFX to create my own custom library.I've added a few hardware components. Everything is operating OK, but when I use IFX, I do not get the accurate representation of Screw in 2D and 3D previews.Images are included here.Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this.I did not find anything related to apperances settings in help section.With custom lib -  With Default Library  

Hi folks,here the little simplified assembly in creo 8.0.9. I tried to simulate with Simulate the effect over a stator of a clamp.The program gives to me always the error "Creo Simulate could not generate elements for all of theentities in the model"I've just tried to mesh the single parts and it works. The problem is only in the assembly with the part of the stator. I tried also: without the symmetry with different fixing fixing all the dof for better numerical stability without contact interface I don't know where I'm going wrong.  

Hello, everyone. More than a question, this is an open topic: Does somebody know a reason why the piping application has not been updated in all these years since Pro/E became Creo? There has not been any change in the way to do piping. I know, some people use to do by swipes and extrudes, others use piping app, and others do spec. driven. But in general, we have had enhancements for manufacturing, electrification, sheet metal, ... And what about piping? Anything? Competitors are WAY FASTER AND SIMPLIER to design routed systems than Creo (for piping/tubing). Will this post be seen by PTC people someday? Let's discuss in the comments.

Hello,  I on Creo Parametric 8.0.9.0 Is there a maximum amount of columns in a hole table of datum points? I would like to add over 23 columns to the hole table of datum points.I added a bunch of parameters to the datum point feature. These parameters should show up in a table on the drawing. A hole table of datum points is used. And an export of this hole table is needed as input for another application. While doing this, only 23 parameters, including the standard the standard 'Feature Name', 'X', 'Y', 'Z'  can be included. When adding more parameters, to show up as column, Creo crashes. A fatal error is encountered. So I was wondering if there is a max to the number of parameters to be added?  Thanks for any reply,  Johnny G

CREO 10 CAN YOU COMPLETE A SWEPT BLEND (OR ANOTHER WAY IF THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT FEATURE) FROM A PLANER SKETCH TO A CURVED SKETCH, OR PROJECTED SKETCH ON A CURVED SURFACE? HIGHLIGHTED IS THE PROJECTED SKETCH ON THE LARGE BODY, THE CURSER (SMALL RED LINE) IS THE OUTSIDE SKETCH OF THE DUCT.  FOR THE DUCT, I MADE THE BODY WITH A SWEPT BLEND.  HOWEVER, I NEED TO ADD AN OUTSIDE THICKNESS LAYER WHICH WILL STOP AND CONFORM TO THE OUTTER SURFACE PROFILE OF THE LARGE BODY.  SO BASICALLY, I NEED TO CREATE A LOCATION STOP/SUPPORT FOR THE DUCT (THIS IS REASON I NEED TO ADD EXTERIOR THICKNESS TO THE DUCT), THIS WILL ALLOW ME TO PRINT THIS SEPERATE (IN A DIFFERENT COLOR) AND ASSEMBLE IT TO THE LARGE BODY.  IT IS CRUCIAL FOR ITS LOCATION AFTER ASSEMBLY. I CANNOT PERFORM ANOTHER SWEPT BLEND FOR THE EXTERIOR TO CREATE THE THICKNESS BECAUSE THE SWEEP WILL NOT STOP AT THE CURVED SURFACE.  WHAT ELSE CAN I TRY?? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Hello, I'm trying to upgrade to Creo 10. I received my license text files through email. I went to the software download page and got the latest version of Creo 10 (Version: 10-0-4-0) and downloaded the .zip file. The problem I'm having is that the setup.exe file does not seem to work. When I double click or right click>run as administrator nothing ever happens and no installation window ever opens. However, when I go into Windows Task Manager I see a process called "PTC Installation Assistant" which is running. If I don't end that process I get an error when trying to re-run the setup.exe file which states "Please exit the already running installer or uninstaller first." I was able to successfully run the "install_license_server.exe" and it recognized the license lm___.txt file and installed the license server successfully. That does not seem to help getting the setup.exe file to work. I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise. I've seen a few possible solutions on this foru

For reasons of convenience I would like to have a closed surface where one of the edges is open in Creo Parametric. A simple example could be a surface of revolution that is swept 360 degrees but has a open edge where the surfaces meet. Below is a artificially created image, where the sweep angle is close to but not exactly 360 degrees. Revolved surface with open edge (but not quite closed) So i am wondering is there: A way to split a self enclosed surface at one and only one edge?A way to merge only said edge and not all edges?Convert inner edge to outer edge?This would be handy at times.

Hi,I am attempting to include my custom component as a connector in the AFX library.In the script tab file, I'm adding connector references for assembly. When I try to assemble that connector and the connector references are in the hidden state, afx displays an error.For example, if I refer to a plane from a connector for assembly and the plane is in the Hide state in the connector component, afx will fail to assemble it.We are using Creo 8 and Creo 10.We use MBD for parts and ensure that all datums are hidden for the Model_only tab. Anyone know how to use connector references, even if they are hidden ? Your help is  appriciated.

I was using Creo (v10) under a school given license for about 4 months. Since this license only worked at campus and I needed more time to work, I decided to add the online student license that my friends recommended to me.  At first, it was not working and continued to operate under the school's license and did not work away from campus. Then I went on my desktop to Creo open file location> Reconfigure. Here I went to the licensing page where I only found the student license. I accepted and went through with everything hoping that Creo would now work under the student license like how I wanted it to.Instead, now every time I open Creo it says that I must register the Quality Agent for Creo to keep running and when I allow it to register it it says that Creo is shutting down under code 0x00000013. It might be helpful to note that when I first installed the student license under my laptop and it did not work I installed it on my PC and did a project on it meanwhile. I'm trying to simulate a constraint on a part fixed with a screw in an oblong (as shown in the image below). The idea was to constraint the region where the screw head reaches, because the diameter of the screw is smaller than the hole. Is this way correct? I'm getting high tension points when simulating, making the part not able to withstand much force in the simulations. I don't have an Advanced Creo Simulate license to use Fastener or Preload tools.
