Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am running CREO 10.0 on a student license, and trying to create a .mfg model.  But when I enter new model name and template the model window does not switch to the manufacturing model window.  Does anyone know if this feature is not available with a student license, or am I doing something else wrong.  thanks.

Hi, I want to compile a table with automatic calculations. In  the figure attached, I want to plot in the cell the result of a quote divided by a constant number "2560". How can I do this?  Can I recall in the cell the result of a relation obtained dividing the quote with the constant number? Hi I am doing analysis on a relatively large structure, and I would like to build the the model for Simulate using beam idealisations rather than native models.  I know how to create an individual beam, but am looking guidance/tutorial on how to create an assembly, if possible using a mixture of idealised beams and 'physical' geometry.Thanks in advanceFrancis

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0I am trying to add notes in 3d space under the annotations tab. I have done this before (I do this almost everyday) but for some reason, now, when I use the middle mouse button to set the location of the note, it cancels the operation altogether. This function is still available in 2d space and works just fine.

Creo 9.0.4.0 & windchill 12.1We are looking to convert our models from imperial to metric.  We have legacy items dating back to at least Creo 2.  There are 3 main segments of the company.  @ of the 3 already use metric for modeling and drawing. One is still using imperial and would like to switch. In testing models/drawings made in Creo 9, it was discovered that if a dimension was manually added to a drawing (addxxx), the tolerances did not change when the Model Properties were converted.  Also, GD&T does not appear to change.  Part and drawing DTL files exist and are working fine, if the part was created and not converted. Aby ideas of how to convert they in bulk and not manually changing each dimension?  Changing one drawing at a time is acceptable, but trying to avoid the need to change dimensions one by one.

Hello friends. In the drawing, I need to specify a detail, transparent and in fine lines. Creo is able to make the detail transparent, but the line style is dashed. I open the drawing.Layout > Component Display > Style > Picked View > OK.In the menu manager, I select the PhantomTrnsp style. As a result, I get a transparent display of the assembly part, but with a dotted line.How to adjust or change the default PhantomTrnsp line style to thin rather than dashed?

I am trying to export a line body from creo parametric 10.0 to Ansys. But I only seem to be able to export the solid body. Is there any way I can just export a line body? I have tried deleting the solid bodies and just exporting the sketches but it didn't seem to work. Maybe there is a way to convert sketches to line bodies?

We're using Creo 8.0.6.0 at this time. I'm running into an issue using a relation-driven sub-assembly, but feel like it's close. The first stud & nut in the patterns aren't flexing properly, but the rest are and I'm unsure what the issue is. I've changed & moved relations around, added and removed flexible dimensions/variables up until this point, this is the closest I've gotten. Some background: we originally used a family table for all of our stud & nut assemblies but found a few issues using them - they often really slowed down our large assemblies, and sometimes ran into odd regeneration issues. I've taken a look at intelligent fasteners, but I don't think it has what is required. We're testing using a single sub-assembly that drives the part dimensions of the stud and nut. FLG_CALLOUT and GASKET are restricted, string parameters that are pre-flexed. Users can change them via a drop down menu. These two parameters will be changed when added to an assembly

Hi, I am using Creo parametric 4.0 with the AAX.I created a part using copy geometry references from a skeleton model, and noticed that when creating a drawing and adding a view, the view size seems to include the copy geometry feature.this would not really be a problem because it does not seem to affect the drawing size itself when exported. but it does not allow me to use something like the PTC ModelCHECK to find the OVERALL_SIZE of the part.is there a way to hide the copy geometry feature so that only the solid geometry is being shown in the drawing's view borders and such.    

Hi all, I haven't done detailed testing - this is just a hunch - but I am working on a "large" assembly and the opening / regeneration times are very long compared to what I am accustomed. One thing I want to remove from my list of suspects is whether having annotations attached at the assembly level will result in longer regeneration times. For example, would you expect an assembly that utilizes the following component (assembly of a table and 4 casters) to take less time to update if the 2 annotation dimensions were removed?

I want to create an aerofoil with ribs and spars like below. The curve that I have made doesn't allow me to extrude it, therefore I have to use the 'spline' tool to sketch over the points. However sketching over the points makes the aerofoil inaccurate. Is there any other way of doing it. I can't use the blend tool because I want to show the aerofoil in its individual parts like below.  Thanks very much. 

I use Creo Parametric 9.0 / folded metal sheet should be bent again I have to construct a folded sheet metal strip with a 90° bend. The folding (180° tab) of the sheet is no problem, but the bending of the folded sheet.  Are there any ideas?

We are using Creo 7.0 along with Windchill PLM Version 12.1.2.0 database system.   In this year we have developed some macro/batch files for customization under Tools>>Auxiliary Applications>> option. These all customized batch files we have kept on common server which is located  in Europe so that we all (Indian and European or USA Colleagues) can use these batch files whenever needed. Now we are facing issue and these batch file's are not getting started in India and coming message that unable run the batch file.  When we contacted to developer he is saying that due low internet speed (low band width) these files are not getting run as these files are running from common server as mentioned above. We are having net speed of 200 Mbps and still developer saying to increase it to run batch files smoothly.   I want to ask you all if a

There is no difference in the ribbon, no indication that anything changed. Starting or stopping the examples through Tools - Utilities - Auxiliary Applications makes no difference.

We're  in the middle of WC12 and Creo 8 testing.  I was successful in removing the featured object status column from my workspace display.  Now I'd like to remove it from Creo File/Open dialog.  That column seems to take over everything and I've not found a way to remove it or move the column.
