Any procedure (besides doing it manually, which doesnt maintain proper format) to create numbered list inside Creo notes in drawing environment?
Hi everybody, I have a question about the Pick From List selection method, hopefully I am just missing something here. I am working in a drawing file, using Component Display to blank out a repeated feature, and reveal other information in the model (only on one particular drawing view). The feature is in a linear pattern, so components are all lined up behind one another on the 2D view, and sometimes there are up to 20 instances to hide. I use Pick From List to select each component individually, holding ctrl to select multiple instances at once; but this requires me to open the list, select one instance, and then 'OK' to close the list, before opening it right back up again, from the exact same spot in the model! This takes a ridiculous amount of clicks to complete, and is painfully slow. Is there any way I could be selecting these items quicker? Since the components are all stacked behind each other in the drawing view, they all show up in the same list when using Pic
How to save sketches created inside Creo drawing so that it can be used later for another drawing?
Hello!I want to buy a new laptop to work with CREO. I work with large assemblies (>1000 parts). There is a shortage of graphics cards on the market. My choices are:i5-11400H/16GB RAM/T600 4GB (lenovo P15v 2gen.) ori7-11850H/32GB RAM/RTX A2000 4GB (P15 2gen.).Which of the above configurations will be better? There is not much information about the A2000 card.I found a document that says the A2000 is CREO certified. Does anyone use RTX in their computer?
When working with repeat regions for a harness connector pinout table, I have occasional duplicate lines for certain pins. The contact/plug/signal names all match each other, but the wire/color/size are blank for one line and not the other. I have tried a couple avenues to clear it with no luck:By rule, where the wire name is a blank, however the row still shows.By item, but when selecting the blank line I get the error code: "Cannot Exclude a Record with no Associated Data"For reference I am using Creo 5.
Hi All,I'm trying to get geometry parameters from sketch inside the Part (like this:) I'm doing this in following way: ProError GeomDataExporter::GetModelGeometry(const ProSolid& solid) { ProError status{}; ProGeomitem* itemsOut = nullptr; ProFeature* features = nullptr; status = GeomDataExporter::GetAllFeatures(solid, &features); int featuresSize{}; status = ProArraySizeGet(features, &featuresSize); for (int i = 0; i < featuresSize; i++) { ProCurvedata* items = nullptr; status = ProFeatureGeomitemVisit(&features[i], ProType::PRO_CURVE, GeomVisitAction, nullptr, items); int featuresSize{}; status = ProArraySizeGet((ProArray*)items, &featuresSize); if (status != PRO_TK_NO_ERROR) return status; } } ProError GeomDataExporter::GetAllFeatures(const ProSolid& solid, ProFeature** features) { if (features == nullptr) return PRO_TK_INVALID_PTR; ProError status{}; status = ProArrayAlloc(0, sizeof(ProFeature), 1, (ProArray*)features);

I have a strange problem that hole callout does not update if value of hole dimension change:C'bore depth is 20mm. And yet, hole callout says 8mm, which is wrong: While parameters are correct as value entered:Hole text in .hol file is:C'BORE-&PATTERN_NO{0:X}/FOR &FASTENER_ID/<CTRL-A>v<CTRL-B><CTRL-A>n<CTRL-B>&CBOREDIAM[.2]<CTRL-A>x<CTRL-B>&CBORE_DEPTH[.1] As in hole annotation:I also changed c'bore diameter value and it's value in hole callout did not change.I am using 5.0.6 version.Has anyone had a problem like this?
Can someone explain what the "-" does in the environment variable definition in .psf file (i.e. PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=<port>@<License Server Name>)
Hello, I need to collect datum from view , So is there any API or Process to collect datum , Erase , show & display them in required view ? Regards, Kunal Bidkar
Hi, We are implementing the dimension placement function with TOOLKIT. We a using ProSelect and ProMousePickGet.ProSelect gives the user a visual indication of the situation in which they need to make a choice. (via window and mouse pointer change)ProMousePickGet returns a 3D PNT when clicking in the graphics area without any notification to the user. I'd like to give the user a visual notification while ProMousePickGet is running, any ideas? Ideally, We want to give a visual effect around the mouse in the graphics area, such as placing dimensions. thanks. Warm Regards, SeonHo Cha.
Hello, I am working on drafting , I have to flip the direction of arrows outside , How to do this using ProToolkit API ? Regards,Kunal Bidkar

It is a repetitive task for me to export Creo model files as an STL to the same general folder. Would it be possible to reduce the time of doing this task by being able to specify a fixed end location for the STL exports?

I am very new to cabling and I'm in the process of creating my first flat harness drawing. Flattening the harness took a little time to figure out, but now that I'm creating the drawing I realize the flatten state is a bit of a mess and I'm probably not doing things the correct way. I have been unable to find tutorials or documentation to point me in the right direction, so I figured I would ask here. Below is a screen shot from my drawing showing what is possibly the worst location of my harness. I have two connectors that plug into a controller and two bundles that go in different directions (one large bundle, one small bundle). I realize that this is nearly impossible to put any dimensions on: What I would like to get to is something more like the image below where the two connectors split off and simple length dimension can be added. I know that I can change the cable from thick to centerline view, but I still have a mess of individual wires (which are driving my pin tabl
I try to create a simple dialog, which will be closed by pressing the Cancel-Button. The first time the dialog is started, everything works correct. uifcCreateDialog, uifcActivateDialog, uifcExitDialog and uifcDestroyDialog return 0 and no exception is thrown. But starting the dialog the second time fails. Calling uifcCreateDialog returns -1 and the dialog is not created. For some hints I would be grateful. Thanks in advance. Hello,I am using Creo Pamaretric version 7.0 and I noticed that in Creo NC the toolpaths that the system generates can cause collisions. Even though the elements in the categories (Reference model, workpiece and fixture) are defined correctly, the default tool path created in Creo NC can cause collisions with a part or the environment. It is as if the system only takes into account the part to be machined and not the rest. Many CAM programs do not generate toolpaths if this could cause a collision. If this is the case, the calculation stops automatically and finds another solution. Is there any function or option to optimize the toolpaths and avoid collisions? Thank you and best regards.

We have been using Creo 3 with an intensive automation front end built in Excel 2003. It works flawlessly, and is very quick and efficient. The philosophy has been "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". 🙂It's time to move to a more modern Creo version, and I have version 8 up and running with no issues. The problem is, I can no longer communicate with Excel 2003 at all (using either the old Creo 3 pfclscom.exe, or the new one), and Excel 2016 is horrendously slow...both by itself, or when communicating with Creo 8. I really need a way to make Creo 8 talk to Excel 2003 (yes, I know it is older than a lot of the people reading this...but it is also much, much faster than newer versions of Excel in many ways).Seeing as how Excel 2016 uses the same old VB API, why can't Creo 8 continue to communicate with it?Does anybody know of any tricks to get around it, or is there a way that PTC could simply provide a backwards compatible API (pfclscom.exe file)?Thanks for any help.

Hi all,I have struggled with this several times in the past. I have a feature where I would like the diameter to have limits of 5.257 / 5.250. I would like this to display as a 3 place decimal on the drawing. I can't seem to do this. I end up having to have a nominal feature of 5.2535 with a ±.0035 tolerance (switched to limit tolerance for display). I then get a display of 5.2570 / 5.2500. This has repeatedly caused questions internally and externally as it is the only dimension displayed to 4 decimal places. If I change to 3 place decimal display, the dimension changes to 5.258 / 5.250. This is really frustrating me and I'm sure that I'm not the first to run into this problem.Any help is greatly appreciated.Greg
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.3.0Dear,Is there an option to automatically "Erase Not Displayed" when a window (model or drawing...) is closed?Best regards
Why don't the instances of the assembly show up in the BOM?
