Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM100We exported our projects under Parasolid format (.x_t) and several times customer complain the imported files in NX several time some components are imported as surface and not as solid in Unigraphics and they spent time to solve this issue.In Creo Parametric the files imported came as solid.I don't have the Unigraphics Application and also I don't have experience with this application , but can you give us an explanation why do you think when NX when import files came with some components as surface.Thx,CC

I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.6.0I have an issue when working remotely via VPN, where Creo will run smoothly for a period of time sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 30, then suddenly its very laggy and far less responsive. The framerate drops dramatically and theres delay in being able to select anything using the mouse, or use the software in general. This affects both modelling and drawing.The issue is instantly resolved by disconnecting from the VPN and reconnecting, without any need to restart the Creo software.When on site, the issue does not occurr.It seems to be a network issue of some sort - does anyone have any experience of this? I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM040Creo Drawing showing green dots which are not in drawing originally. The model is also distorted. Setting the graphics option to OpenGL resolves the issue but the system becomes very slow.Here are the errors that I facedIncorrect rendering of the drawingGraphics driver used : Intel (R) UHD GraphicsAnother system with the same configuration renders the drawing quite well.

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 8.0 (connected) Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0I am trying to see if there is a way to change the line name within sketcher. I would like it to automatically create certain lines with specific names.This is all related to us needing to save a copy of the drawing as a .dxf for our CNC Plasma cutter. For example we are wanting to use our plasma to "scribe" bend lines and text onto our parts. Therefore bend lines and text needs to have a different "line name" so the plasma knows that they are scribe lines and not cut lines. The toolpathing software we are using for this is ProNest.Some issues we've seen are, since circles are shown as 2 arcs it doesn't always create those lines with the same name/layer as perimeter lines. So the machine doesn't know if those are cut lines or something else. I'm thinking this problem may involve modifying the config file.

I have a tool path that is cut out or a cylinder. The tool path is around the cylinder.  I know that I can use relations to have it wrapped proportionally around the cylinder, but I want to create drafting feature that can show the dimensions by angular dimensions. With the first angle being 15 degrees and the total length as 360 degrees.   I need some help from a Creo expert who might be able to help.Cameron

Hello, Are the claims in the following statement correct? Specifically, is the statement underlined and in bold correct? Creo manages the bend radius of the CAD model by applying the minimum bend radius from the spool onto the cable geometry. Networks are simply helper aids for routing. They do not control bend radii. When Creo places cables, it tries to follow the Network first. But in some scenarios, where the network is tighter than the spool's minimum bend radius, it will allow the cable to depart from the Network. Essentially, what you're seeing is Creo applying the minimum bend radius of the spool onto the 3D cable geometry. Therefore, you don't really "measure" the minimum bend radius so much as enforce the minimum bend radius.  Any measurement that would be taken would equal the value of the minimum bend radius of the spool. Thank you!Devin

Hi All, I tried to run the asynchronous Jlink Full Example under this path - Creo 7.0.2.0\Common Files\otk_java_free\otk_java_appls\jlinkasyncexamplesBut the performance has been inconsistent, sometimes the creo parametric app opens, sometimes it doesn't.Other times the session starts but the model is not loaded. Only few times it has successfully started a creo session and loaded the model.Is there something that I am missing? Can the application be optimized in some way? Thanks,Apoorva

I have an assembly of medium size. I use the "repeat" command to assemble hardware. During the "repeat" operation, when I add each individual piece of hardware, it pops up a "regen" dialogue box which takes about 5-10 seconds to complete. Is there any way to suspend regeneration until I've completed the repeat command, then just regen once, instead of after each individual fastener? I don't see the need for multiple regenerations during a single "repeat" operation.

Hi All, I have a requirement where we are pushing the part or assembly files to cloud and making a note of the transaction. Before pushing the part or assembly to cloud, I want to be able to check if it has already been pushed before. I need a way to uniquely identify a part or assembly, and using the file name is not an option since two different designs can have the same file name.Any help is much appreciated. Thanks,Apoorva

@SweetPeasHub Why does setting the User-defined Output Steps help the solver from converge instead of setting Plotting Grid or Polynomial Order? 

I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0A contact interface with infinite friction on a pin allows material compenetration and gives skewed deformation results. I tried switching from component-component to surface-surface but reached the same results. The issue happens on a particular pin in a specific location, so I tried to delete and re-create the interface but no changes. The geometry is correctly highlighted in yellow on "review geometry" and the mesh completes without problems. Any Ideas on why it is happening?

When placing a 1"-20 TPI hole in a model set to metric units the hole note is using metric values. I want to display inch values in the note. Does anyone have idea how to set this to display the inch values? Creo 7.07. I have also included the custom hole table used to create the feature for reference.   This is a hole created using the same feature and hole table in another model that is also in metric units and it displays inches.  

Hello, I met a problem with Creo 7.0 I copy an old part&Draw too made some changement on it. I don't wan't to see my sketch on the 2D, so I hide it in my 3D model .... and my dimensions disappear in the drawing.I created a new drawing with the same 3D model ... and at this time, the dimensions are shown. I copy the drawing parameter from the new draw to the old draw, I changed the size of the drawing to call a new "font". But I still can't see my dimension And (of course) I don't really want to make a new draw. Do you have any idea where the problem can be ?
