I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) Release 3.0 and DatecodeM150I want to create new parameter into active part document by using protoolkit api.
If one uses option "prehighlight NO" in the config.pro file, the pre-select highlight is turned off completely, but with it the dotted line that follows the cursor is also turned off.Sometimes, to have that dotted line active and showing is very useful, reminding one (in the case of many small adjacent surfaces) where is the originating surface.Question: is there a way to keep the pre-select highlight OFF, but still have that dotted line active?Just to be clear, I am talking about the broken green line (that follows the mouse pointer) in the attached screen shot.
Hello All, For those doing MBD and using 3D PDFs have you ran into problems using the 64 bit version of Adobe Reader DC? We've found that PMI reference highlighting is not working when PDFs are opened with 64 bit Adobe Reader DC, the 32 bit version works fine. To make the problem worse we are seeing that 32 bit installations are being automatically upgraded to 64 bit by Adobe. We've been working with our 3D PDF creation software vendor and have come to the conclusion that there is a major regression in Adobe functionality with the 64 bit version. There are at least two open requests to Adobe to fix this, see links below. I'm interested in knowing if others are having the same problem. Also if you could vote for the Adobe issues maybe this will get fixed. https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/926812-acrobat-reader-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/45017893-bug-pmi-cross-highlighting-not-working-for-3d-pdhttps://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/92681
Hello again PTC-Community! I am trying to make a template out of a sick, but it seems Creo doesn't want me to. It just goes from this (which looks fine to me) To this... Which does not seem to be right. Anybody know a solution to this?
Hello All, I want to export my model in png file format. I din't find any toolkit api. I can record mapkeys & use it in toolkit application. But do we have any direct API available to export it into png file? Thanks & Regards,Harsh Patel
Hello,I renew the question in this closed topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Pentable-pdf-export/m-p/235673To assign DIFFERENT color to entities which belong to the same group, for ex. LETTER_COLOR which includes dimensions, notes, cross hatch, axes and many other things.I want to reach the COLOR printing as below: DIMENSIONS and NOTES: greenThen I use the following in the pentable:pen 2 thickness .015 cm; color 0.4392 0.6588 0.3607; letter_colorNow, if I want AXES (CTRLFONT L L and CTRLFONT S L) to print in blue, I must assign a blue color (for example) to all the axes manually, and then use the following:pen 8 thickness .018 cm; color 0.0 0.0 1.0; edge_highlite_colorFor the CROSS SECTIONS, to assign RED color manually and then:pen 4 thickness .018 cm;color 0.949 0.509 0.705; highlite_colorThis is, of course, very unconfortable. Is there any "automatic" way ?Maybe to LAYER RULES in drawing formats ?Thanks in advance.Diego
Hoping someone can help me out. I have a steel C channel that I would like to use flexibility for length. This will have a hole pattern about each interior datum plane and then within an assembly another assembly attached to the datum planes. I've tried to accomplish what I want by using relations, and a dimension pattern, or a combination thereof, but I'm not getting it, if it can even be done. What I'd like to accomplish:(2) Datum planes at each end would never be <4.25 from outermost datum planeSubsequent datum planes (up to 4) would be >= 6.00 spaced intermittently>26.50 in .prt (30” in .asm) = (4) datum planes for flexible channel length<26.50 thru >20.50 = (3) datum planes for flexible channel length<20.50 thru >14.50 = (2) datum planes for flexible channel length.<14.50 = (1) datum plane for flexible channel lengthI think that explains everything, but if someone is able to help and has questions please let me know. Thank you!&
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 5.0 (connected) Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0As of yesterday, the tolerances do not show in the ribbon. I can modify them directly but not in the ribbon. This is the case for all dimensions. I can choose plus / minus (including symmetric) and I no longer have the tolerance values in the ribbon. Everything was working fine before yesterday.
Wanted to turn off the save_file_iterations feature and so I followed the recommended steps by going into the configuration editor and changing it no. Now when I open a creo file and check the configuration editor, it still says the save file iterations is turned off but when I save, it continues to save multiple files. It’s as if it’s not listening to it’s on configuration or something is overriding it…
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 8.0 (connected) Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0Hey PTC,we are currently updating our student computers to Windows11. On some machines, the creo installation properly opens and the software can be installed. However, we have some machines, on which nothing happens if we try to launch the installation (setup.exe) of Creo Parmetric 8.0.3.0. So after double clicking on setup.exe, the installer does not open.Kind regards,Arn
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.2.0Not able to remove a Repeat Region from a Table
Hey, I have created a table with ProDrawingTableCreate, it creates the table in the current sheet. My question is how do I create or copy the same table in all drawing sheets.I can get the sheet's number with ProDrawingSheetsCount and loop on it, but I don't have an idea on how to place the same table in all of it. Thank you!
Hi, I try to convert this 3d-scanned propeller into a surface- or solid model. As you can see I created sections/curves using the restyle tool (intersection with different planes). Then I exited the restyle-feature and tried to use the loft/blend-command to connect the section-curves, but I i coudn't select the section-curves.Then I used the style-environment and was able to create a surface between some of the sections: That worked well, but when I tried to add another section then the profile is twisted: There is a white point (starting point ? ), but it doesn't happen anything when I move the point on the curve. It jumps back when I release the mousebutton. The other side looks like this at the moment and I'm not sure how to propperly close the surface. Is my approach the right way to go or is there a better way ?How can I get rid of the twisted profile ?And how would you create the other end of the propeller ?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM060I have a student running Creo 4.0 that is continually getting a crash during normal operation of Creo at random times. It is rare for her to be able to use Creo for mor than 10 minutes before it crashes. The error from Creo before it closes says to submit the traceback to support. The traceback log is pasted in the error messages (until it runs out of room). If there is a way to submit the traceback file, let me know. Thanks you for your help and please let me know what our next step should be.Here are the errors that I faced-------------------------------------------------The trace creation timestamp is: Mon Mar 21 09:55:54 22The executable build timestamp is: Mon Jul 30 08:51:14 18The datecode is: 2018190The pro machine type is: x86e_win64The process ID is: 1268The traceback type is : CRASHThe logger exit status is: 00003The Trail is: PRO_trl.txt.4The release is: 4.0The external datecode is: M060The product title is: Creo Parametr
As per this thread, related issue: Hi @TomU do you know if there is a working tool for new creo versions too? We use Creo 7.0.4.0 and we're hardly missing this tool! I do not understand why this is no standard for Creo OOTB ...
Hey guys, I have created a table with ProDrawingTableCreate command, and I wonder if there is a way to rename it.Do you know a command that does it? Thank you very much!
Hello, I'm working on a simulation of flow in combustion chamber. I am trying to setup the model in order to validate the model based on data from experiment. Since I'm using Pressure inlet as a boundary condition for inflow to said combustion chamber instead of using the whole cylinder for the simulation (which would be very computation resource consuming) I tried to pre-calculate a velocity field inside of my simulation domain to subside the missing cylinder volume. Then I wanted to adjust the model with said velocity field as initial condition, however it seems like the only possibility is to use integral values for the entire simulation domain. Is there really no way to use already simulated velocity field as an initial condition for further simulations (sure with the same mesh)? Thanks for any reply

Hi All, I'm interested in maximizing the number of pattern members on irregularly shaped 2D areas. The fill pattern comes close but does not deviate from the grid pattern (i.e square, hexagonal, spiral, etc.) or allow variable spacing between members. Has anyone found a workaround to automatically optimize the number of members that can fit on a given area?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM100I have made mechanism and animation of engine component on Creo Parametric 4.0. I assume that there is some issue with frame rate because video is not smooth. Please extend your support to resolve this issue. Here are the errors that I facedNo error received.
I have looked all over for an answer for this, but I have yet to find an answer. Is there a way for me to make a file (.PAT) which CREO reads on opening, so that when a cut section is made only predefined hatch patters are used in the drawing? This is with regards to assembly drawings btw. I have figured out how to make a .PAT file from which I can choose predefined patterns, but I have not been able to define the file as the default directory.I am currently in CREO 4.0 and we do not used material selection in PTC CREO. So it will not work to assign different hatches to different materials.Thank you for any reply.
I have the set tessellation parameters as below: step size is assigned with model size ( diagonal of the bounding box ) / 30.chord height is set by fetching the model accuracy using the GetAbsoluteAccuracy() method.Angle control is set to 1.I am not getting a better result using this. The quality and the curves or circles in the model are not accurate. I am using creo parametric object toolkit version 8.0.2.
Hello,For many years, I'm using Creo (Pro/E) on local HDD.In each folder project, I had a .cmd script that launch Creo 2, 3...)So, local config.pro, appearances were loads for each project, depending on my clients. Now, I can't do this with Creo8.Batch (cmd) files doesn't works anymore. So, what could be a good solution for starting Creo in a specific folder, loading global AND local config.pro and could open local files ?Now, Opening file start-up in "My Documents"...Thanks a lot.
I have a guy that’s playing around with adding some new parameters to COTS parts to have the BOM table display different parameters for those specific parts. I have the BOM table relations displaying the results the way he wants them, but not using the logic he wants. He wants to use a YES NO parameter to determine what gets displayed in the BOM table.I just can’t get that to work. And yes all the parameters displayed and not displayed in the table are in the Local Parameters when editing the table relations, so that’s not the issue. Here is what works:This displays both the normal parts without the added COTS parameters and the COTS parts /* RELATIONS FOR PART NO COLUMNnew_part_no="MISSING PARAMETER" if exists("asm_mbr_bom_part_no")new_part_no=asm_mbr_bom_part_noendif if exists("asm_mbr_part_number")new_part_no=asm_mbr_part_numberendif if exists("asm_mbr_vendor_part_no")new_part_no=asm_mbr_vendor_part_noendif What he wants the logic to look lik
